RichyVida Thanks Richy we really appreciate that! Especially from our favourite vlogger! 😀👍 I still think your USA trip was the best, most inspirational road trip we’ve seen - keep up the brilliant work. Looking forward to seeing your Picos vids 👍
Thanks for posting the motorcycle live vid. We went the following day and if you thought Friday was busy, you should have seen Saturday! We had a long chat with Wildbad Gaz (Richy was busy) Bit surprised Triumph didn't show their new Tiger 900 due to be released shortly. Think it was the Harley Livewire that Ewan and Charley were riding but I may be wrong. I'm afraid electric isn't going to be the answer anytime soon for those of us who wish to tour.
Banditmanuk Thanks Richard! Thank goodness we didn’t go on Sat! 😩 Come to think of it you might be right about Ewen and Charley, I think they are on Harleys, although I’m sure I read about Zeros somewhere 🤔, that’s what happens when you become a Senior Citizen! I agree about electric bikes, can’t see us touring on them any time soon! Thanks for commenting and hope you’re both well 👍😀
hi both, new subscriber, enjoyed your film at the nec, visited show on wednesday, travelled from north wales, you could say i also had mid life crisis, got on my first motorbike at 50, passed my test and not looked back, ride a new vfr800f, look forward to watching your films and back catalogue
andy smith Hi Andy, thank you for your comments and for following the channel! Looks like we have much in common 👍 both got on a bike at 50 and never looked back! Sounds like you are a VFR fan like Richy Vida! Hope you enjoy the channel 😀
Great video. Didn't bother going this year as no new models that I really wanted to see. Seemed to be a lot like the KTM and BMW's that were exactly the same as last year! Maybe next year......
Scott C Thanks Scott! You’re right, not many new models (that we were interested in) but it’s always an opportunity to get on the bike for a ride even if the weather turned on us 😩 - good test of the Gerbing heated jackets though! 🥵
Ah! Those Old Fogey ticket prices are good are they not. Sue must have paid the full price though!!!!! We were there last Wednesday and, as is traditional, sat on all the bikes I'm never going to buy (LOL). Been going since the 70's and, for the first time ever, we were still there at kicking out time!!
Adrian Nicholson Thanks Adrian! You’re right, Sue had to pay full price, but I love getting the cheaper tickets 👍😀 I’ve waited long enough! Pity it doesn’t apply to discounts on the bikes - like you, we love sitting on all the stuff we can’t afford 😂. It’s still nice to go every year and drool 🤤 although we’ve never stayed till the end - too exhausting 😴. Thanks again for your feedback!
Angela Evans Thanks for your comments Angela! I don’t think it was the new Tiger , in fact I don’t recall actually seeing it on the stand 🤔 not sure when it’s released in the UK. I loved my ride through Canada, such a beautiful country and lovely people 😀👍. Thanks for watching!
Watching your videos in Spain 🇪🇸 I've booked to go Santander in September with 3 mates - ive never been before and wondered if you have any god tips for packing nd how much clothes to take etc we are there for 10 days cant wait not going on tiger 900 but on my Street triple rs
Hi Stuart! Packing depends upon a couple of things - how much luggage you take in terms of panniers (hard/soft) top box, etc - though on a Street Triple I’m not sure how much luggage you can fit on it! But we usually say take as little as possible - most people overpack for trips and end up not using everything - in some places you can always do some basic washing on the road if you have to. Sue did a packing video with some brilliant tips on using plastic storage bags that maybe worth a look 👀 😀 The type of weather is also a consideration - Spain in September is usually pretty good (🤞) I took plenty of T shirts, jeans, shorts and if it gets chilly at nights - a fleece or even use a biker jacket but I doubt if it’ll get to that. It’s such a brilliant trip we hope you have a blast! Just one tip about the ferry - if you’re prone to seasickness, take some tablets - the Bay if Biscay can be a bit unpredictable! Have a great trip! 😀👍
Hi ya folks...in regards to the heated gear I’m actually switching from Keis to Gerbing , glad it looks like the best move. In textile clothing I’m using RST adventure which was another mistake. I should have just made the big one off purchase when renewing my kit and gone with Rukka 🤬 Incidentally the Rukka jacket you wear, can I ask what model it is ? Thanks again 🙏🏽
Hi, we can highly recommend the Gerbing jacket 👍 for us it’s a real game changer for all year riding! My Rukka is an Armaxis - had it for years - expensive as you know but I wanted the best I could get at the time 😀👍
Midlife Motorcycle Diaries thanks for the reply, quick question you rode down Potes and then up to Cagnas , we are thinking of riding the opposite way . In your opinion witch is the best way or are both routes just as good as each other? Thanks Steve
Hey guys! I enjoyed that! Real good feel. Great to see you on the stand. Thanks for stopping to chat. I'll catch up on more vids now! ;-) RV

Great video. Shame there will be a bit of a wait until this sort of thing can be held again!
Thanks Greg! You’re right, it is a shame 🙁 we really love going to the show 🤞 hopefully it’ll be sorted soon! 😀👍
@@midlifemotorcyclediaries Ha Ha, I hope so too! 32 square miles to play in and I'm thinking that I have seen most of it in the last four weeks! :)
32sq miles? That’s enormous!
@@midlifemotorcyclediaries I believe my Australian and Canadian relatives call that size area of land, "The back garden!"

Why does your tail light always seem to be flashing? I had this before with R&G tail tidies
Hi Andrew, it looks like it’s flashing but it’s actually the settings of the Go Pro 🙁!
Are you planning on attending the Bike Shed Show in May 2020?
Hi Stephen, sorry we missed your question! We would have if Covid hadn't struck!
Midlife Motorcycle Diaries thanks for the reply, quick question you rode down Potes and then up to Cagnas , we are thinking of riding the opposite way . In your opinion witch is the best way or are both routes just as good as each other? Thanks Steve
Good tips haha
