  • This clip is from our series "Interview with Dr. Walter Martin on Cults". This clip answers the question: Are Christians free to sin because of the grace of God? Is it trut or false that Christ's righteousness is credited to us the moment we believe in Him? In what way was Herbert Armstrong wrong about biblical salvation?

God bless you my brother!!!

    I agree with almost everything that Walter Martin said except the phrase "I will execute you rather than sin away your salvation". Yes I do agree that God will execute you but not for the reason that you would "sin away your salvation." If God let you live in evil the grace of God would still be limitless & inexhaustible. The reason that God would execute you is not because there is any limitation on the grace of God but rather because the name of Christ would be reproached & harm would be done.

    This is a silly question because any one is free to sin all they like. The thing is, there are consequences.

    Though none of us are without sin God will not permit sin to progress to the point of EVIL without judging it because the harm it does to others NOT because there is any limitations placed on grace.. All sin was judged at Calvary actual & potential but evil brought the flood on the world & the scrambling of Languages

    Amazing that someone so learned sticks to doctrines of men (Augustine and Calvin) instead of the teachings of Jesus.

    11 All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness. (Hebrews 12:11)

    Imputed righteousness can be forsaken and lost. Just ask the prodigal son before he repented. Just ask Judas. Imputed righteousness is only for those who walk with Christ.

    I just listened to the clip, that you asked about, and it says that "his hand hasn't lost it's skill"

  • @Rixonomic
    @Rixonomic 14 років тому

    What does he say at the very end? For some reason I just can't make it out. I'm sure it's trivial, because everyone laughs right after, but I'm just dreadedly curious after having listened to it over and over trying to figure it out.
    "And those of us who have been through it are aware of the fact that his hand is not..." What?

    Thats also why Eph 6 is important, Gods armor. We have to fight against temptation with the help of the spirit, the word and God. We are now slaves of Christ-Hes our Lord, thats why our fruits its not from ourselvs but him through us. But we have to obey. We will never become like Christ (sinless as you know) in the flesh we have, but everyday die from our own lusts and rather do the will of the Father through the spirit. The way to be better at that is living in the Word, everyday. God bless.

    I personally belive i have the Holy spirit, even if iam not speaking in tounges, I got other gifts. Still I have fights everyday on getting tempted etc. And we see that we are not outside of Adam yet. Thers a reason Jesus say he thats holds to the End will be saved, thats not only for the tribulation period and hes coming, its also when some die. We are being killed everyday to no longer be slave under sin, but the fruit of CHrist in us. Read James 1:12-15 Every man is tempted. So its a battle.

    Heresies through and through! He talks as if Jesus has not the Power to give victory over every sin! Jesus came not to save men in their sin, but from them (Mt1,21) "Who abideth in him, sineth not..." (1Joh3:6)

      In the old testament we were under the covenant of the law, but when Christ came and died on the cross for our sins we are under a new covenant. We are saved by faith if we believe Christ died on the cross for our sins and ask him into our hearts. We are no longer under the law. This is the very reason God sent his son because he knew no man could ever enter heaven by obeying the law because we are all sinners.

    Isn't intresting? If we confess our sins, he is faithful to forgive us
    The key is confession. What hapoensvif we don't confess?

      Rom 5:1 Δικαιωθέντες οὖν ἐκ πίστεως εἰρήνην ἔχομεν πρὸς τὸν θεὸν διὰ τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ - Having been declared righteous, then, by faith, we have peace toward God through our Lord Jesus Christ. There you have it - WE ARE DECLARED RIGHTEOUS by God, THAT MEANS JUSTIFICATION! It is as IF WE NOT HAD EVER SINNED. The key is NOT confession. THE KEY IS CHRIST. CHRIST JESUS has in God´s view REPLACED THE OLD ADAM! It is a DONE DEAL you won´t be able to change! A DONE DEAL! In Greek an AORIST TENSE REPRESENTS A DONE DEAL! It has been done 2000 years ago at GOLGOTHA! That is the reason PAUL SPEAKS ALWAYS OF CHRIST IN AWE AND ADMIRATION! The Gospel / Evangel consists of one person: CHRIST JESUS! HE IS ALL AND REPRESENTS ALL. By the way, GOD IS ON THE WAY OF BECOMING ALL IN ALL (Greek τὰ πάντα ἐν πᾶσιν / TA PANTA EN PASIN). Or the other way around: ALL IS ON THE WAY OF BECOMING GOD! And this is - AN EXCELLENT OUTLOOK! Wow! You read that story in 1 Cor 15:28. It is by faith OF CHRIST? Yes! NOT: ON CHRIST! WE ARE SAVED BY THE FAITH OF CHRIST! There is a GENITIVE CONSTRUCTION for instance in Gal 2:20 Χριστῷ συνεσταύρωμαι· ζῶ δέ, οὐκέτι ἐγώ, ζῇ δὲ ἐν ἐμοὶ χριστός· ὃ δὲ νῦν ζῶ ἐν σαρκί, ἐν πίστει ζῶ τῇ τοῦ υἱοῦ τοῦ θεοῦ, τοῦ ἀγαπήσαντός με καὶ παραδόντος ἑαυτὸν ὑπὲρ ἐμοῦ. The phrase ἐν πίστει ζῶ τῇ τοῦ υἱοῦ τοῦ θεοῦ means LITERALLY: in the faith I live of the Son of God... It is a Genitive construction πίστει...τοῦ υἱοῦ τοῦ θεοῦ thus meaning: FAITH OF THE SON OF GOD rather than ON THE SON OF GOD. It is about this linguistic error AND ITS TREMENDOUS IMPACTS ON UNSURE AND UNHAPPY BELIEVERS. Summa summarum: We live in Christ, because Christ is all for us. AND ALL MEANS ALL - ALL GOOD AND ALL APPEARING BAD, INCLUDING SIN AND SATAN AND DEMONS. CHRIST WAS SUFFICIENT FOR THE SINS OF THE WORLD, AND THAT MEANS FOR ALL. AND IT WAS 2000 YEARS AGO - ON GOLGOTA. Greetings and love from Germany

      You completely dodged the question Paul. Can one be saved and not CONFESS to be covered in Jesus Christ? By no means, you have to confess to God. The error here is the assumption that a person is somehow is unable to confess to God.

    What is SIN?

    • @ljiljanagajinov8074
      @ljiljanagajinov8074 7 років тому +2

      Sin is the transgression of God's law - 10 commandments, which was written by God himself, & given to people.
      God has created us, & given us the set of rules which, we are obligated to keep in all aspects, to the best of our ability. However, God has given us Jesus, to cover for us, where ever we fail, so it adds us his own righteousness. That works only, if we submit ourselves to Him, admit our faults, repent, & do our best to sin no more.

    We can't pretend to be "righteous" because of some magical formula we've recited or by the acts of someone else. Imputation is false doctrine, and a rather pernicious and wicked one. That we "can't be righteous" is a lie Jesus did NOT teach. We will be judged by our works and words alone, says Jesus, and not by our mere utterances of "Lord Lord." Free Graceism is a false religion and leads millions towards the "wide path" of disobedience and an easyBelievism. Jesus did not teach it. (And no appeals to other men's teaching on the subject are sufficient.)
