Very nicely done; beautiful playing. Love how you mute so there's no string noise

Nice. I just read where Pete Fogel claimed this part as his favorite bass line to a song.

It's an awesome part. The tech guys used it to test the FOH system every day on a tour I did a few years back because like all Fagan stuff it's so well produced.

I am a really huge Steely Dan fan as well as some of Donald Fagan’s solo work such as The Nightfly, his second solo album and Morph the Cat and Sunken Condos his 4th solo album.I really like the bassline of this song a lot and I really like the sound and tone your producing on your bass.Keep up the great work and please post some more Donald Fagan or Steely Dan covers!!🙏🏻🎸🎸

@@DanEzard Wow impressive cover sir!!👏🏻🎸Sounds exactly like the studio version. The Aja album from 1977 had very good bass lines by the great Chuck Rainey. And same with the album after that which was released in 1980 which featured three bass players in various songs Chuck Rainey,Walter Becker and Anthony Jackson. That album also had some great bass work! my favorite song in Gaucho is Hey nineteen which Walter Becker played bass on.Can’t wait for more Steely Dan material!🙏🏻🎸
