- We found a fake vintage Star Wars Darth Vader action figure that we bought on eBay. Spotting fake toys is hard when you are buying online, but in this episode we try to find an authentic Darth Vader to replace the fake one to add to my collection.

Plastic crack indeed! It was early in my run and those are the big mistakes I made. You should have seen me going back to each buy I did on eBay just to re-read the descriptions. @@thepadawancollectorofficial I'm missing warok, ev9d9, ,r2 pop up, A wing pilot and of course Yak face. Had a good chunk left from childhood. Started filling in gaps and upgrading figures in late 90s. Not very diligently but here and there. Hit it kinda hard at beginning of this year. Picked up 4 of the last 17 and some other items.
Ive been thinking ... Ive watched most of your Star Wars journey videos. I do enjoy them .. but, how are you challenging yourself here? Finding Star Wars online is just an equation of money at this point. If you have it, it can all be yours. Maybe try hunting some in the wild. Its much harder, almost impossible, but in a sense even coming back empty handed is more rewarding than just clicking a buy it now?
I know I sound like a dingle, thats not what Im trying to be. Just trying to say maybe thinking about this quest less in terms on finding online could be more rewarding?

I did look into that. Sabers are easy to find (sometimes) but the cape was harder to find so I went with getting a full figure. But I am going to do that with other figures. It’s been a money saver for sure, especially with figures that I had when I was a child that I lost the weapons for! Thanks for watching my friend. MTFBWY!
What is it worth with original cape and intact light saber?
You can get the USA Kenner version made in Hong Kong for about 30-40 dollars.
I would take your "authentic" Vader to a trusted toy store for analysis. That cape looks way too shiny to me for an original. Maybe its the lighting, but it still looks repro to me.
Yea I am always nervous with buying ANYTHING online. I have showed it to a few collectors in person and its the real deal. Plus the group I buy from lately always has a :no repro" policy and polices itself when it comes to buying repro on accident and are willing to rectify the mistakes. Thanks for watching HS! What is the price on the case?
With shipping and taxes the final total was $861.23. People who fabricated these in the US were charging 1200-1600 for similar cases. Thank for watching Bill!
