I've always loved this cover! Nirvana was my favorite band of that era, and this song is iconic."Nevermind" came out in 1991. OMG! That's 23 years ago. Holy crap! In 1992 Tori Amos released her debut album, "Little Earthquakes". If you haven't yet, be sure to devour it in one sitting. 🙂I obsessed over that album, and probably drove my friends crazy. One of the great things about Montreal, where I live, is the vibrant music scene. When you discover a band that really grabs your attention, it's pretty much guaranteed they'll be coming to town. Like Nirvana and Tori Amos. In any case, you sparked a great memory. Thanks!

She made a whole album with covers called "Strange little girls". Absolutely fascinating (I love her "Bonnie and Clyde" from Eminem), this woman is a fountain of musical mastery that never runs dry.
She did Bonnie and Clyde??? Ok, say no more. Definitely checking that one out 😀
The concept of the album is that Tori takes songs written by men, and puts her own female spin on them. For the most part, they are word for word covers, with a few minor tweaks on some of them. For me, the highlights are her covers of 10cc's I'm not in Love(the original being more about a man who's fooling himself and protesting a little too much, to Tori's version, that is just dripping with contempt and she means every word of it), Tom Waits' song Time(true to the original, but has just a beautiful piano arrangement), Joe Jackson's Real Men, and Velvet Underground's New Age, gorgeous covers.

funny you picked on that. Tori in her live shows is known to go deamon mode from time to time. A great example if Me and a Gun. Compate the 1994 live version to the angry demon version from American doll posee tour. Or Cruel - album version vs Chicago live 2007.
