I've always wondered if a motor scraper could self load. Looks like you just have to have a pull pan mindset to do it.

Usually a struck/level load, not heaped unless you have a downhill cut.

Don't guess so. Never saw any with a guard. Guess everything is supposed to fall on the pan side.
