Woow bro you made everyone hungry😂 A new subscriber who is waiting for your part 2 sri lankan food.🇱🇰
You should try black pork curry with any of rice, roti, string hoppers, or milk rice.
Capital - Sri Jayawardanapura Kotte
Bitter gourd has lot of health properties. Good for diabetes.
Man, that is not a pile of mud or clay. That is food. Just like you have etiquette with cutlery we do too. Its not like we are apes because we eat using hands. Eat with only one hand. Right hand. And use only fingers. Food should not touch your palm. Also mix the curries with rice one bite should have everything mixed in.
thank you bro 😍
Love from Sri Lanka
Next time try Cafe Dinicious in Scoresby. Highly recommended this Sri Lankan food and many Australians come there
Bro used both of his hands like mixing clay 😂
Good content bro 🇱🇰❤️
HAHAHAHA How was I supposed to?
@@JakeyRossTry with your right hand .. and mix each evry curry by small amount with a handfull amount of rice.. then eat it.. try it.. its the best way.. u will understand how delicious it is when all curries mix together with rice
Only use the righ hand
@@JakeyRossuse only one hand. Right hand, if you're right handed. But even some left handers use their right hand.
them deep fried rolls (or sri lankan rolls) even better with a spicy tom sauce mm..all flushed down with nothing but the finest ceylon tea. dats a happy man
Now i have seen everything 😂. Scooping rice and curry with both hands!!!! Who is this SL man? He is not the best guide. Lol The fillings inside short eats are not curries. Also the last short eat is not fish bun! Geez 😅
Yep, it was a case of the blind leading the blind. Oh well 😌
Was thinking the same thing. It made me want to throw up
Let the man eat however he wants.
@@gayan1742 but if we use the fork wrong or use the hand to pick up something everyone will be after us with pitchforks. There are etiquettes in every country. Cultures like Japan Korea even Italy very protective about their culture. And expect tourists to honor it. But countries like ours who always worshipping the west let every one 💩 in our heads. Its ok he ate like this he because didn't know. But it is our duty to educate him on our culture so he understand. We are not monkeys to eat like this we are also a nation with great history and a culture. People like you may not respect that and willing to lick every white man A** that comes in your way. But some of us really care
Seriously I was annoyed with this friend. It was his responsibility to introduce the culture properly. At least the way we eat.
"hoppers " and "dhal wade' are the most famous sri lankan foods among foreigners. You should try them.
Dude you need to mix each of those curries and salads and eat it as one small single mouthful, to get the whole experience you are missing out
Saw a person who Eating srilankan foods using both hands for the first time 😂❤ Love from sri lanka 🇱🇰
😂
Wow this is so crazy. You made hungry . Waiting for next part in sri lankan food. 😊
Bro is eating with his two hands 😂
Need to make a small correction on the info given on the capital of Sri Lanka, it’s not Colombo anymore, it changed to Sri Jayawardanapura Kotte a looong time ago.
Try egg hoppers too and some sri lankan new year sweets 😍🇱🇰
Mouthwatering foods ..new subscriber here 🇱🇰🇱🇰🇱🇰🇱🇰👍👍👍👍
Its called a Chinese roll in Sri Lanka. But in Australia its called "pan roll" to avoid racist connotations.
Interesting. Thanks for the info
We call it fish roll here? I haven't heard anybody call it Chinese roll
@@rheabelafonte1913 this type of cuisine was brought to Sri Lanka by the few Chinese indentured workers, who ended up either as peddlers or selling "fast food", which Sri Lankans didn't have. Hence the name is actually a tribute to the delicious rolls, which have now been adopted into Sri Lankan cuisine.
@ralwis9241 Ohh but local restaurants call it Fish roll right? That's what I've been calling it since I was a kid
@@rheabelafonte1913 No. It's called a Chinese roll. Chinese rolls can be fish, chicken, beef, pork or vegetarian. The qualifier "fish" will be to denote the filling.
The Chinese immigrants made it as spring rolls, but it didn't catch on till they coated it with breadcrumbs and fried it. It was sensational and locals loved it.
bitter melon very much an acquired taste, just like beer. "it purifies ur blood" according to mum. very healhty no doubt
Try Berwick Brick's house night buffet, Saturday or Sunday.
❤ Love from 🇱🇰
Ok little "Eating with your hands Tips!" here... NEVER eat with your left hand. We use the right hand to eat--left hand is used to... clean places 😁 When you mix food, take little bits of all curries and mix with a bite sized bit of rice. You can mix different combinations each time to get the best experience. Don't mix everything and take bites---that's how we feed kids! Or pets... And when you mix food, don't let the food go beyond the 2nd knuckle. You shouldn't get food everywhere. And NEVER lick your fingers in front of others. That's pretty much it! Now you know almost everything Sri Lankans know too!
The last snack u ate is not a fish bun
What was it?
@@JakeyRoss what you ate was a fish pastry which is also very common in SL. A fish bun is like the name suggests, a bun filled with a filling made of fish, potatoes, onions and a bunch of other stuff.
Good content mate
Thanks brother 🫶🏼
You just made me hungry 😃
There are so many variety of foods in here Sri lanka...that kottu roti makes me hungry❤️🇱🇰
Bro u make me hungry.
😂
You should try kottu
Welcome to SL.🇱🇰🇱🇰
But honestly , Sri lankan cuisine is one of the most underrated cuisines out there ....
Try Ambula Berwick for an authentic sri lankan experience!
Shall do!
You ' can' use your hand not 'should'😂. We were colonised by the british for years. Sri lankans are not primitive. We ain't apes coming down from trees and use both hands to eat and go back to our trees. We use one hand to eat.its a choice we make.We know how to use knife and fork too. In colombo hotels, weddings we use knife and fork too. Nice try using the hand though.Hoewver nice to see an aussie trying SL food.. ❤we need part 2. Cheers🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
This makes me hungry
Enjoy ur foods doesn’t matter u use which hand, spoon or whatever ❤
Wow!!!💗👍
That fish bun did you wrong---fish buns are soft and nice, not at all like a samosa...
Dont eat both hand..use right hand for eating...love from srilanka

Spring roll on steroids 😊
ekata anan kanna purudu karapn carry pnyo 😂
Bro u should have practised eating before
It will increase the taste aswell
HAHAHAH HOW DO I DO THAT 😂
By not using the both hands may be.
First of all thank you for trying and enjoying Sri Lankan food. But I really am bothered by how you ate. Maybe it's my personal opinion but I think your Sri Lankan friend should've told you how to eat with your hand. Not HANDS. Just your dominant hand which is mostly right hand for many people. We do have our own etiquette even when we use our hand to eat. You who's experiencing a new food culture is understandably could be pardoned. But your Sri Lankan friend could not. And you kept asking too if it was okay the way you ate and your friend had many opportunities to correct you on it but he didn't. In my opinion, when you introduce your culture to someone new you're responsible to do so properly. I hope you'll get a proper demonstration on how we eat using our hand. And I hope this comment doesn't sound too negative or discourage you from trying more Sri Lankan food. Once again thank you for trying our food.
Food is a food.. Let them eat they as they want, this is why we are called, "track land"
next time try to mix curries you like woth rice with your right hand and eat. Learn from a sri lankan. It will enhance taste and will be a mouthwatering experience. Don't use both hands.
I'm from sri lanka, that rice you have to eat with dishes, you have to mix altogether. And kottu is not a sri lankan food, its Indian. And desert is not sri lankan either
Kottu originated in Sri Lanka, Batticoloa. Don't embarrass yourself online if you don't know what you're talking about. It takes 2 seconds to Google, do your research before you embarrass yourself.
@mydaebimama1510 excuse me, if you found it in Google it doesn't meant it's correct, baticolo? From where tamil people came to sri lanka? If you doesn't know the histry of sri lanka, don't talk. Kottu(kuttu) it's a South Indian dish, main ingredient of kottu is rotti(flat bread) paratha or plain rotti. It's absolutely found in India.
@VimalVimal-gj6rp it's was invented by A Sri Lankan Muslim in Batticoloa. I graduated from Culinary school. So, I know both Sri Lankan and Sri Lankan Culinary history. Just because it's called "koththu", it doesn't make it Indian. That's why it's important to learn before you talk about something, so you won't spread misinformation.
You may wanna brace yourself for the information I'm about to share. Chicken Tikka Masala isn't Indian too.
@@VimalVimal-gj6rp We all know you're an Indian trying to claim Sri Lankan food.
Everything was good except the lying Srilankan guy 🤣
😂 BAHAHAHA why was he lying
