Why did you try snacks in Italy, and not real italian food? We have junk food from only 20 years in Italy, they don't reflect our food culture. The only italian food you try are drinks. If you offer a snack at an italian guy, he laughs embarassed. Homemade food is better :)
Ti sei mai chiesto cosa mangiavano i nostri genitori o soprattutto i nostri nonni a scuola?
Especially during spring-summer Sammontana sells a line of cornetto icecreams called CinqueStelle. Croccantino is my favourite, but there are also Panna (cream), Limone (lemon) Ciliegia (cherry), Vaniglia-Pistacchio (vanilla-pistachio), Caffè (coffee), Panna-Amarena (cream-sour cherry), Panna-Cioccolato (cream-chocolate) and Cioccolato (double chocolate, milk and dark).
Thank you for this video! You basically made my day! We Italians think that people hate us or don't really appreciate our food and country. This video instead, is truly genuine and entertaining. Loved you liked our most "commercial" products.
Thank you for your kind feedback, indeed I had an amazing time in Italy and the people were very kind. The snacks were from a local express shop, next time I will hunt for more authentic products haha

I lovvveeee yogurt, this Italian brand was incredible and I would fly back for it haha. Yes, north-american soft cookies suck soooo much haha, not my cup of tea ;)

those are some of the famous snacks brands, which taste good to most, but for me if you really want to try italy you have to go to local farmers markets and buy there biscuits, spreads, beers, honey, cheese, and so on; in my experience that's one of the places where italy shines, although depending on the city sometimes you have to search for them; also sometimes restaurants have their own products (bread, sauces, ...), and then there are obviously the pastry shops; you have to try at least once in your life a good warm focaccia
recommend you Pan di Stelle (cocoa buscits with sugar stars), Pandoros (sponge cake-like stuff, with dries fruit pieces) and grissini - you can dip them in Nutella, or roll ham around them, brilliant
We don't have very good beers in Italy, in fact, compared to other countries, but Menabrea is a fortunate exception. It's probably the best italian beer you can find. Not quite as good as german beer or belgian ones, but it's not bad at all.
Dunno, where i live i can easily find them at the supermarket, but they're originally produced in Trentino Alto Adige.. Try to look for Sterzing-Vipiteno on Google and maybe you can find something more specific!
@ Delicious Italy Well as in any advanced industrialized country large Italian corporations like Ferrero, Parmalat and Perugina have dozens of brands (like Nutella, Mulino Bianco, Mr. Day, Kinder and so on) and each produces a wide array of products which are all developed and tweeked to Italian taste, for instance any American would find most our snacks not sweet enough. Hi ! Don't pay attention to all these italians comments ; of course Italy is famous for its food culture and homemade food and these snacks don't rapresent us but I think you as a visitor, wanted the show what a guy can find in a local store. I appreciate the video. Ps : I usually eat "mulino bianco" and I think it's good.
You go to carrfour express,is really small compared with the normal carrefour,in Rome carrefour is ten time the express. Sorry for my english,i'm italian.
It's always funny see how foreigners deal with our hand gestures language or with some tricky italian word like "gnocchi", "chinotto", "figli" and more. Me messing with your language anyway would not sound better! :) Your english is very good and fluent congratulations, and I loved your video.
Reformatt Show ahahah as snacks you totally have to try out some taralli, girella, flauti, fiesta, pandistelle, negrettino. The best neapolitans pizzas chains in italy are ROSSOPOMODORO, FLB (Fratelli la Bufala) are the best places to be sure that you're eating the real pizza all over italy: i suggest you to try the fried pizza (pizza fritta) and if you have the shot you should go to Da Michele in Naples, a little place with just two types of pizza to keep the tradition and you'll be sure to eat the best pizza ever. Some great dishes and sweets and thing you must eat before you die are: - Cannolo siciliano, a pastrie full of sweet cheese - Pastiera napoletana, a delicious ricotta cheese pie - Sfogliatella napoletana, a kind of italian croissant - Moeche veneziane, full fried crab from venice, fabolous - Gnocco fritto, a type of fried pasta, from bologna - Fiorentina toscana, an awesome beef from florence - Cotoletta alla milanese, special huge fried beef - Mondeghili, kind of fried meatballs from milan - Fiori di zucca fritti, fried pumpkin's flowers, no words for this - Spaghetti alla carbonara, spaghetti with eggs and bacon, foodgasm And of course some bruschettas (toasted bread with hot tomato sauce) and don't miss the tiramisù (coffee and biscuits dessert). You can find all this wonderful bitches just searching for the right restaurant And for the best sandwiches ever don't miss Panino Giusto, a sandwiches chain from milan. You'll get fat, love xx
You have to try Grisbì cookies by Matilde Vicenzi and try also Baci di Dama. Also, there's pistacchio Tronki too (and the usual, the hazelnut one; I think I've seen also a milk-cereals one...)
Reformatt Show Ritter chocolate is also italian. The square one, you know. Krumiri Bistefani, the ones covered in chocolate, are very good. And Mulino Bianco produces Tenerezze (little cookies filled with lemon cream; there are also the dark ones filled with coffee cream), Chicche (cocoa) and Baiocchi
as italian i appreciate the video i want reccommend to you some good stuff : danette from danone (vanilla flavour ), kinder bueno , duplo , try the hazelnut cream by novi ,let me know how it taste a good chinotto is the chinò by san pellegrino
oh my gosh! I love the way you speak italian! It's so sweet ! Anyway the right pronunciation is Kinotto or quinotto xD by italian girl that loves u ! :P
i think that the supermarket that you went was very small cause in bigger supermarkets you have a hole hile of chipps or crisps.Even in any supermarket
Romina Vona In realtà no, è solo uno stereotipo che affibbiano agli italiani.
+Beatrice Lo Proto ma super Mario dice solo itsa me, Mario! Oppure mamma mia! XD per me nasce solo dall' ignoranza e stupidità!
Reformatt Show in italy there aren't bakeries chains, you can walk around the city and you will find thousands of family run resturants and bakeries. An advice: when you are in a restourant, never order a dish from a glossy colorful menu, it's usually frozen industrial food.
actually the "crostatine" are not cookies but the small version of a kind of 'cake', by the way even the large version is crunchy, so I never understood why this version is so soft, hate them too! :) (however Lays and Sojasun are not Italian!)
As an American, I wish people would understand how insanely massive our country is. We have many sub-cultures that behave differently, have different tastes and accents. We have more variety than any other country in the world and our cookies (biscuits) come in many textures and consistencies. www.walmart.com/browse/food/cookies/976759_976787_1001391 (wallmart is just an example that I know has an entire cookie isle and a website that shows what they have) (Chips ahoy is known for it's chewy cookies, which I don't care much for either). These are mostly major brand names I might add and if you go to a mom and pop dollar store, you can find more variety.
Reformatt Show hahahah yes, do so,i live abroad, and everytime i go back to italy, i feel lost in the huge supermarkets, and you can imagine the shopping i do,i buy the whole place hahahah
I like your videos :) xx
LEKKER eh?! but if you go to 'carrefour express' you will never find a wide range of products...you have to go to regular/big supermarket........................But also there you will never find the same range of product as you do in Holland!! ;)
If you want to know more about the Menabrea brewers and producers go on the net... And Wikipedia... And search... I know that they also organize tours for customers and tourists in the facilities where they produce that beer - like the more famous Irish beer producers.... BUT... The cool thing is that close to the factory where the beer Menabrea is bottled there is a "High class" restaurant where all the dishes are cooked using the Menabrea beer... Both for giving some taste and for adding some flavour to those dishes or cook them in a not "standard" way such as the rice... Here you will find a plentyful of rice dishes cooked using beer Menabrea in the process !!! GIVE IT A TRY... ;-P TRUST ME... There - I mean the zone close to the Menabrea factory facilities - you can visit a lot of interesting places such as the countryside where rice are cultivated (up to the north western region of Italy and close to the Alps and the "Alpine lakes region" of Piemonte and Lombardia); you can also go by car or touristic buses or train to see and visit Torino, Asti, Vercelli or Verbania... Or Alessandria... Yes... Like the Alessandria in Egypt... Same name but more renown due to the former first victorious battle own by Napoleone Bonaparte, the French Empereur of the 1700 / 1800... You can also "give it a try" and visit the Marengo battle site and Memorial or go to Torino and visit the Egyptian Museum... The second in the world as regards the importance, after the Egyptian Museum of The Cairo City in Egypt... Or go to see the Palio and the Sagre in Asti (held in September), not so famous as the Palio of Siena but same level of appeal and historical relevance... I gave you some hints and suggestive touristic infos... It's up to you now to decide what to see or visit or taste... Enjoy beautiful and remarkable holiday times here in Italy... My beautiful country... You are welcome !!!
Reformatt Show No, you're great! I also watched the Kawaii Monster Cafe video and man, that place's is amazing! (Miry-Chan go watch it!) Anyway where are you from? Do you travel just to do videos like these?
ahahahah man this video was really funny specially your reaction to things, you have NO IDEA about HOW MANY different snack you missed and should have tried , specially in Rome, if you eat Grisby you're gonna come in your pants , and sorry forthe bad words, but they are SO good ahha, you read Chinotto like this : Kinotto, that's the pronunciation in italy, Chi is KI and Ci is actually the way you said it!

Vero 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😂
Kinder Delice, Kinder Bueno, Fiesta (Ferrero), Ferrero Rocher, Pocket Coffee, Mon Cheri, Raffaello, Duplo... There's a lot to try...

"Chinotto" is pronounced "Kinotto" not "Cinotto"...
you have to say "kinotto" not "cinotto" :) kisses!:DDDDDDDDD

Ahhhh, that makes sense, next time I will visit a real Italian supermarket. Can you recommend a good one in Rome?
Reformatt Show sorry, I'm from Milan. Anyway you could just find a Carrefour (not express) and I'm sure you will find all snacks you want :)
Looking forward thanks ;)

Reformatt Show I was in Canada two years ago and I think it's the best place on earth! My first tattoo was the maple leaf! Loove loove love! :D
Hahaha, I love when you try to speak italian! Come here again, we'll welcome you warmly! Nice vid ;D
+Davide Ruggeri I hope to go again soon and explore Rome :)
you have to read "chinotto" like "Kinotto"! and, btw, just 3 of the things you tried were really italian!
Time I do a part 2
carrefour is a french supermarket. you should have gone to Esselunga
You go to carrfour express,is really small compared with the normal carrefour,in Rome carrefour is ten time the express. Sorry for my english,i'm italian.
Hi,I'm italian and thanks for this video😉 You must try "pocket coffee" are awesome😍
+Marika Caldarone sounds amazing, is that common in Italia?
+Reformatt Show yes
+Marika Caldarone good to know
It's always funny see how foreigners deal with our hand gestures language or with some tricky italian word
like "gnocchi", "chinotto", "figli" and more. Me messing with your language anyway would not sound better! :)
Your english is very good and fluent congratulations, and I loved your video.
The Hollywood movies corrupted me haha
Chinotto is actually pronunced "kinotto" with the double "t" pronunced and the "ch" pronunced like a "k"
I shall remember that for next time
I'm Italian and this was pretty funny! Good vid
callmepete thanks dude! I love Italian snacks haha, cannot wait to try more next time. Do you have suggestions?
Reformatt Show ahahah as snacks you totally have to try out some taralli, girella, flauti, fiesta, pandistelle, negrettino.
The best neapolitans pizzas chains in italy are ROSSOPOMODORO, FLB (Fratelli la Bufala) are the best places to be sure that you're eating the real pizza all over italy: i suggest you to try the fried pizza (pizza fritta) and if you have the shot you should go to Da Michele in Naples, a little place with just two types of pizza to keep the tradition and you'll be sure to eat the best pizza ever.
Some great dishes and sweets and thing you must eat before you die are:
- Cannolo siciliano, a pastrie full of sweet cheese
- Pastiera napoletana, a delicious ricotta cheese pie
- Sfogliatella napoletana, a kind of italian croissant
- Moeche veneziane, full fried crab from venice, fabolous
- Gnocco fritto, a type of fried pasta, from bologna
- Fiorentina toscana, an awesome beef from florence
- Cotoletta alla milanese, special huge fried beef
- Mondeghili, kind of fried meatballs from milan
- Fiori di zucca fritti, fried pumpkin's flowers, no words for this
- Spaghetti alla carbonara, spaghetti with eggs and bacon, foodgasm
And of course some bruschettas (toasted bread with hot tomato sauce) and don't miss the tiramisù (coffee and biscuits dessert).
You can find all this wonderful bitches just searching for the right restaurant
And for the best sandwiches ever don't miss Panino Giusto, a sandwiches chain from milan.
You'll get fat, love xx
callmepete thank you sooooo much for this list! Now have to plan a giant italy trip! I will try to all the foods you mentioned :) you're awesome!
No, you are dude, love your videos!
now u know what to buy thanks
You have to try Grisbì cookies by Matilde Vicenzi and try also Baci di Dama.
Also, there's pistacchio Tronki too (and the usual, the hazelnut one; I think I've seen also a milk-cereals one...)
Such amazing tips, thanks Martin!
Reformatt Show
Ritter chocolate is also italian.
+Cristiano Gabbia sounds like I have to return again soon
Reformatt Show yes sure if you come back don't forget the stuff that i recommend
I will remember, stay subscribed for that episode ;)
Next time try the Grisbì.
They are not of the crunchy kind, but deserve a try.
flanker0ne is Grisbi that chocolate?
Reformatt Show They are available in Choccolate (I guess is dark choccolate) and Lemon cream, both very satisfying.
You make miss home!!! All those goodies...
Are you from Milano?
i'm from Rome, but we got the same snaks anyway:)
Your videos are good bro, keep going don't stop :)
BlxckPxnther thanks dude, I appreciate it. which one do you like the most so far?
I like your best places to visit in "...." videos and when you eat weird foods. Can't wait to watch more :)
going in italy to eat the snacks is like going into a museum to watch the curtains
+Garrett hahaha, good point :)
The Mulino Bianco's crostatine are not biscuits but little tarts.
Such good tarts :) you are correct
hahahaha good review guy the crostatina was my favourite snack when i was a kind :)
Hahaha, thank you! I like the crostatina
HI! your italian pronunciations are amazing ahahah
+Susanna Armentano hahaha thanks, I am trying... italian is fun :)
As a half Italian half Dutchman who lives in italy, not far from Milan actually, I find this rather funny to watch.
Thanks for watching buddy ;)
that was soy yogurt, not even regular yougurt with milk in it :'D
ahahahah so funny to watch :DD!!
Thank you and yes it was delicious, even if it was soy :)
oh my gosh! I love the way you speak italian! It's so sweet ! Anyway the right pronunciation is Kinotto or quinotto xD
by italian girl that loves u ! :P
nice video and thanks for coming to Italy :)
Thank you for having and I will be back for more fun videos, do you have any recommendations?
There are much more chips than the ones showed in your video in Italy. It all depends on which supermarket/ipermarket you go...
i think that the supermarket that you went was very small cause in bigger supermarkets you have a hole hile of chipps or crisps.Even in any supermarket
Ooohh no, I had no idea. What is a popular Italian supermarket chain? I shall do a follow-up review
Great video, you're really nice and funny. Next time try the fresh products like prosciutto and cheese :) Greetings fro Italy !
I will try next time ;) thank you! You live in beautiful country
Romina Vona In realtà no, è solo uno stereotipo che affibbiano agli italiani.
+Beatrice Lo Proto ma super Mario dice solo itsa me, Mario! Oppure mamma mia! XD per me nasce solo dall' ignoranza e stupidità!
those "crostatine" by mulino bianco are disgusting! I'm Italian and I suggest you to taste home made crostata :) awsome
lisa berti OMG, I would love to try those home made ones, are there any good Italian bakeries you can recommend?
Reformatt Show in italy there aren't bakeries chains, you can walk around the city and you will find thousands of family run resturants and bakeries. An advice: when you are in a restourant, never order a dish from a glossy colorful menu, it's usually frozen industrial food.
italian snacks are the best!
I think we all agree, Mr.Ferrero and Mr.Barilla changed our life in better
no ,most of italians just eat snaks with some drink at the bar like the one in piazza logia in Brescia
+BARBARA Capponi I think I went there for a bit, was great fun with locals!!
if u wanna try a very good italian beer, try: Birra Moretti, Birra Peroni and Birra 4 luppoli.
actually the "crostatine" are not cookies but the small version of a kind of 'cake', by the way even the large version is crunchy, so I never understood why this version is so soft, hate them too! :)
(however Lays and Sojasun are not Italian!)
+Milla I reviewed whatever I could find in the grocery store lol. Next time I'll bring an Italian with me hah
That's not a cookie it's a crostata! And we do not talk with the hand like that! XD ahahahaha
As an American, I wish people would understand how insanely massive our country is. We have many sub-cultures that behave differently, have different tastes and accents. We have more variety than any other country in the world and our cookies (biscuits) come in many textures and consistencies. www.walmart.com/browse/food/cookies/976759_976787_1001391 (wallmart is just an example that I know has an entire cookie isle and a website that shows what they have)
(Chips ahoy is known for it's chewy cookies, which I don't care much for either). These are mostly major brand names I might add and if you go to a mom and pop dollar store, you can find more variety.
+Flameroller, Pale Shitlord of the Cis I agree, I absolutely love the USA for its many states and diversity :)
Ma mangiati pane e salame !! ahaahh
there's more crisps selection in italy, i think you were in a small supermarket
+mediterranea1983 I believe so too... I will try better next time
Reformatt Show
hahahah yes, do so,i live abroad, and everytime i go back to italy, i feel lost in the huge supermarkets, and you can imagine the shopping i do,i buy the whole place hahahah
+mediterranea1983 I can imagine, I will remember to go shopping with a local next time
Reformatt Show
really you should go with a local, they can tell you whats best and what isn't
that stuff from mulino bianco are not cookies are mini pie
+Hyster1a that makes sense, hahaha I will do another review next time in italia
crostata isn't exactly cookie, we put in the cakes category
p.s. I like your videos :) xx
+Elenor X I like you for liking my videos xoxoxo, please stay subscribed for more crazy stuff
it's "kinotto"
Soyasun is vegan yogurt (from soy, it's in the name) :)
Now, that makes totally sense, thanks for clarifying ;)
LEKKER eh?! but if you go to 'carrefour express' you will never find a wide range of products...you have to go to regular/big supermarket........................But also there you will never find the same range of product as you do in Holland!! ;)
+crisleni leni thanks for the tip! I shall try better next time
If you want to know more about the Menabrea brewers and producers go on the net...
+Reformatt Show Chinotto is pronounced "Kinotto" (I'm Italian). Btw you're a genius! Rofl for the imitiation of Italians! XD
lol, I thought I did a pretty bad job, but thank you :)
Reformatt Show No, you're great! I also watched the Kawaii Monster Cafe video and man, that place's is amazing! (Miry-Chan go watch it!) Anyway where are you from? Do you travel just to do videos like these?
Thank you! I am happy you like it. I am Dutch but work and live in Canada, and I do these videos for pure pleasure :)
menabrea us one of most premiated beer worldwide
It's good
ahahahah man this video was really funny specially your reaction to things, you have NO IDEA about HOW MANY different snack you missed and should have tried , specially in Rome, if you eat Grisby you're gonna come in your pants , and sorry forthe bad words, but they are SO good ahha, you read Chinotto like this : Kinotto, that's the pronunciation in italy, Chi is KI and Ci is actually the way you said it!
+andrea piro hahaha that ks Andrea! Sounds like I have to visit Rome for part2
The pronunce of Chinotto is "Kinotto"
+Giuseppe Petito graci
+Reformatt Show *grazie (thanks)
Crostatine are not biscuits, they are like small pie!!
Not that beer man...u need to try PERONI! This is the italian beer!
I like peroni but that beer is very international, I wanted to try the less known beers
Keep Calm and 1 up Non vorrai dirmi che la Peroni è meglio della Menabrea? Daiiiiii
I would but peroni can be bought worldwide and isn't considered that foreign anymore
Reformatt Show Or you could have tried Moretti, not the best, but very common in Italy
+Amanita phalloides e vaglielo a spiegà ahaha
Your accent is simply amazing and you are so cute ahaha kisses :*
CINOTTO AHAHAHAHAHA
the drink called chinotto is pronounced key notto.
I had no idea, i was going for the japanese pronounciation lol
Anything from Condorelli is mouth watering! Torroncini, Lapilli, Pasticcini al Pistacchio, Croccantini alle nocciole, Libecci (biscuits with almonds and citrus), Etnei ( pistacchio biscuits). www.condorelli.it/media/wysiwyg/CATALOGO_NORMAL_TRADE_NATALE_2015.pdf
**TRUNKY** AHAHAHA SO FUN!
