Coming into the creek, from the east branch, going left towards the trestle is called Huger Creek and right towards the landing is Quinby/Quimby Creek. I put both spellings because you will find both spellings on various types of literature. The sign at the landing currently spells it Quimby, but look at tide charts and you'll see Quinby. Growing up, it was always Quinby. David, often times the pros talk about big deep diving crankbaits in the summer. Have you tried fishing big deep crankbaits in the deep ditch mouths out in the east branch, west branch, main river or Tailrace? I wanted to try this last year, but we spent our summer fishing Pee Dee river. Water was chocolate milk last summer in Pee Dee, so not a concept I was experimenting with. I do believe this is something that may produce better quality in Cooper River during the summer. This along with stroking a jig or just dragging a big profile jig. I'm referring to ditch mouths with 12-25 feet of water and good current on falling water. Obviously, they wouldn't be in the middle fighting the current, but finding this environment boardering grass or an eddy pocket where they can ambush would be key. I hope to experiment more with this in 2022 on Cooper River.
