The atrium was designed by John Portman, such an amazing architecture, especially when looking up from Atrium Level.

Welcome to the TVA
Absolutely loved my stay here. Me and my parents spent the night on one of highest floors on our way back home from Florida last Christmas, and I wish I can return soon. The hospitality was great, the souvenirs from the gift shop were nice, the food from the High Velocity restaurant and the concierge lounge were wonderful, the pool (especially at night) was a blast, and the views from every angle were jaw-dropping. Highly recommend this place if you head through Atlanta and need to spend the night.
POV: You are here from Loki
At the time this hotel was built I lived in Peachtree Towers on the 14th floor less than a 1/2 block away and our balcony faced out towards south Peachtree St, the Hyatt Regency, Portman's first atrium hotel, and looking toward the Hilton. Anyway it was amazing to watch them build that hotel. They put a floor and a 1/2 up a week. They used some newly perfected concrete laying system(??) that allowed that. Basically they built that hotel from start to finish in just over a year and it was open for business. Truly a building engineering marvel at the time in the early 80's.
More like the TVA, where all are welcome to stay--except if you're a variant violating the Sacred Timeline...

why have I never heard of this until just now ? and I thought I already knew a good bunch about American cities and architectures and noteworthy and magnificent places. turns out, you never know as much as you think, and when it comes to the vastness of America, you will always discover new wonders. this place is truly magnificent, it is stunning and inspiring, hasn't this been used in a Hollywood movie ? it practically begs to be used as a location. that atrium instantly made me think of a BladeRunner type of movie.
This hotel was a film location for the Hunger Games movies.

This is the hotel where elevator filming became a thing back in 1993
DieselDucy started that. Than more people started doing it. I started in November 2021 is when I opened my channel. I really started filming in I think February 2022

Elevation321 did a video saying Car No. 13 (The right glass elevator on the 42-47) is broken and had been since July 2023. Has it been fixed unless i didn't watch a recent video or i forgot about it.

They are still fun, They were just upgraded with newer buttons, the controllers are the same pretty much as well as the motors. They wanted to compete with newer places.
