  • A few months ago, Pearl Davis (@JustPearlyThings ) invited Pastor Joel Webbon onto her show to interview him on the topics of Biblical Patriarchy and Christian Nationalism.
    *Due to technical difficulties, the conversation was never released on Pearl’s platform. Fortunately, Right Response Ministries recorded a backup of the audio, and with Pearl’s permission, we are now releasing it to the public.

    Submission to my Husband is not conditional to his submission to Christ. It's an act of obedience to God. It's between me & God. A wise Husband will listen to his Wife & always take her input into consideration. She should feel that she has been heard when time is not an issue. Wives should never play the "I told you so" card. He will learn over time what works & what doesn't. Your role is to build him up & be a place of refuge when he does fail, not a place of condemnation. He will not come to you for support if he gets a load of resentment & stress.

    • @jseehowitsbeen3177
      @jseehowitsbeen3177 Місяць тому +2

      If your husband is living outside of God’s will and wants you to also live that way your submission to God comes first, and you do not have to be subject to your husband’s sinful direction.

      @sherrythomas8149 Місяць тому +2

      @jseehowitsbeen3177 I agree & I'm blessed that my Husband would not lead me into sin. I know women who use their Husband's failure to follow God as an excuse for why they don't have to submit & I just wanted to speak against that.

    • @TraceyHanwell
      @TraceyHanwell Місяць тому

      You are putting a false god between you and the One True God if you submit to an unrighteous husband. God struck Saphira dead as well as Annanais. God has given women a difficult role, always in the horrid position of dealing with a sinful human husband while serving a righteous God. Before women could vote, a man could beat his wife regularly with no reprisals. He could cheat on her, fail to provide food and shelter to her and his children, and get away with all kinds of abuse. There was no law to stop him. Women have to be equal in the secular world to bring balance. You who are romanticizing male dominance have failed to study history. It is not the fault of women that men have walked away from manhood. Men have merely left a vacuum of leadership that women stepped into. Both sexes are sinful. I love this Right Response channel, but I am concerned concerning this one point of their doctrine.

    • @thaimuayshoo1171
      @thaimuayshoo1171 Місяць тому

      @@jseehowitsbeen3177That's true but then you need an authority to dictate when your husband is being sinful or not & most pastors (not Pastor Joel though) often side with the woman always, no matter what. So, if a patient husband say, winds up rebuking his wife for inappropriate attire & she claims he's "verbally abusive", many pastors will claim he's bring sinful/wicked/ungodly etc
      That said, I'd certainly trust Pastor Joel's in a marriage counseling type situation. I believe he'd administer truthful & balanced Biblical advice whether it was I or my wife (or both of us) who missed the mark & fumbled the ball

    Pastor Joel, this interview was very refreshing.
    I love how you tactically explained biblical and political issues helping the audience understand that we don’t have to separate them.
    I disagree with you that the “Red pill” doesn’t have a solution. They have a solution but it’s rather based on hedonism rather than serving your neighbor

    • @fvardona
      @fvardona Місяць тому

      the solution to the red pill is the end of feminism and its values in society. Both movements feed off each other and basically justify the anger and resentment of their respective counterparts, for feminists such blatant disregard for female political freedoms as well as the generalization of modern femininity as something bad, justifies the crusade of feminists against men basing their hatred on this concepts, and for the red pill their anger and resentment is based on the current complete demonization of masculinity as well as the idolization of toxic femininity which is something currently accepted and endorsed in society, justifying the red pill movement wanting to distance men from women.
      This problem is hard to solve since to end any of the two, the other must be destroyed alongside it. Since if one of the ideologies survives the other will rise once again, basically perpetrating the gender war.
      The role of the church in this is to preach against both movements and their ideologies, to not spare neither. If it focuses on only one group it will end up pushing the people of it away from God, seeing as some kind of gendered persecution. I've seen many Christian men who were flirting with red pill ideas quit church after the pastor started preaching solely against it, leaving feminism out of it. Even more so defending feminist notions inside the church, such as female leadership, and giving far too much credit to its female congregates, a credit that most times is not deserved.

    I believe God is working on a lot of people that have a platform. I don’t know what Tucker Carlson believes, but the fact that he teamed up with Doug Wilson is encouraging. Also, Dawkins labels himself as a cultural Christian. Also pay attention to who in Christianity is getting a platform and who isn’t anymore.

    1:31:38 if I’m recalling correctly, she was going to be burned alive, though I may be mistaken. When the English Governor, a military officer of some kind, heard about this and inquired the locals told him “this is our religious tradition.” He then had his men construct a gallows for hangings… and the locals came and inquired about it, and the governor told them “oh I heard that some people were going to burn alive an innocent woman, who has done no wrong… that’s called murder. In England we hang murderers, this is OUR religious tradition.” The big takeaway from this is that this was a man who was on a political appointment and allowed God’s law to dictate his governance. A result which the king at that time would have undoubtedly agreed with.

    I stand against my faith when I say this but we need to clone Pastor Joel immediately. Joking aside, even though I tend to align with many of Pastor Joel's positions, I also respect him simply because he says what he means & means what he says. He's caught a lot of flak from all sides (including the egalitarians, complimentarians, & fellow "Christians" and Evangelicals) but he remains unmoved in his convictions. As a man, you have to hold that unwavering faith in high regard, and even if you largely differed with his worldview. He's not a coward, or a prosperity gospel hack, or a clergyman overly concerned with worldly affairs like wealth, fame, & status by those in the fallen world. God bless you & your family Pastor Joel. God gave the increase 👍

    Just to clarify, I dont think Pearl CANT come to Christ. She absolutely can. She needs correction so she can repent properly. I dont expect instant change but there should be some change in mentality and I think she needs to lay off that Nala girl cause they are both sinners and Nala seems to be honest about her repentance. Pearl said that facts dont care about Michael Knowles religion though then claims to be Catholic. God is a fact Pearl. Youre a sinner too; anyone can be redeemed through Christ. You too. I really would like to hear a Biblical defense of the death penalty if anybody has a good source on that it would be much appreciated. I could argue against the death penalty from purely secular and logical reasons because the death penalty is totally irrational and illogical. But reason and logic aside, I definitely want to know if it is Biblically necessary. If God requires the death penalty, then we should do it regardless. But if God doesn't require that we use the death penalty, it would be obviously better that we don't.

      @@shaneamundson1192 See but what I'm asking for is proof of that claim though. Considering that I already don't believe that the death penalty is logical and rational and I've already conceded that I would support it if a solid Biblical case could be mounted in favor of it, the burden of proof is now on you to please give me Bible verses or something that proves that we need to be using the death penalty. Otherwise I'm going to say that we shouldn't do it at all given the risk of false positives and the fact that it's more expensive to carry out than for a guy to serve a life sentence. If there's going to be any risk at all that we kill the wrong person AND you're telling me that you want to spend MORE tax dollars, you need to prove that God requires this.

    Here is something I often ask regarding this idea that there is certainty in understanding of the scriptures because of the authority of the roman catholic church (or orthodox church for that matter). It's been 2000 years. Why is it that the RCC has not dogmatically interpreted the whole of scripture. If the church is the authority, why does catholic answers exist? It should be a done deal. If there is such clarity in the RCC regarding the scriptures, how on earth do you get Francis? It is a nice idea, but in practice it just doesn't hold up. Just about the only things the RCC is dogmatic on are all the things not in scripture. The whole thing is absurd. Every interpretation save a very few are subject to change. God gave us his word, and he has been sufficiently clear in that word, especially on core doctrines.

    The optimism is misplaced. The story of the OT is that, even with all the benefits of being God's people, we fail. It is always only a tiny remnant who are "uncorrupted". That doesn't mean "good", that just means their mind and efforts are mostly in the right direction. We are not called to recreate the OT Jewish nation. The OT nation's failure was not a surprise to God, it was an object lesson for us. Jesus didn't try to recreate it, the apostles didn't try to recreate it. There no problem living out our Christian values in public and political life, but Paul did not try to replace Caesar. Revelation 17-18 talks about the prostitute (corrupt church) "Babylon" who fornicates with "princes and the merchants of the earth". It is an unholy union of the church, the state and the powerful/wealthy. The history of the Roman Catholic and established churches of Europe shows us what happens when you do this. It is not good for the church or the population at large.
    More careful reading of scripture required. Also, if "sola scriptura"... why are you trying to keep Sunday special by banning trade? Did the God of the OT change his mind? If so, show me where.
