Hey Wes , great job mate ! For $40 I think the small negatives are not an issue . I just wish they & all watch makers would use a logo without the brand name . Just looks so much sleeker . Cheers

I hate the idea of chronograph functions only running on sub-dials. I did buy a $20 Burei with a VD51 movement, but these movements make absolutely no sense on watches with tachymeter bezels or chapter rings.

I managed to grab it for £28 GBP with a couple of coupons - a steal. Thank you for bringing to my attention the Bulova Lunar, I didn't know what the inspiration was, now I know.Another great down to earth, sensible, warts and all video Wes - here's looking forward to the next one, you have pointed me in the direction of some great watches lately of which I am grateful. Regards.

Hello Wes. Great review. As an Omega Speedmaster Professional Moon Watch and the Bulova Lunar Pilot owner I was well aware of the amazing story behind the Lunar Pilot. Owning both, I can tell you that the Omega is spectacular. However, I like the Lunar Pilot just as much. It's truly an incredible watch, and I highly recommend it.

i was about to get the black one until i realized the chrono hand is the subdial which makes the tachymeter useless. they should have used a seiko vk

What about a Strela (Russian) watch review when thinking about Space watches?

Sorry. 24 hr. dial = Instant Deal Killer. Fine review Wes!

NASA was stupid for NOT requiring a 24hr dial! How do YOU tell what time of day it is in space, when there is no Earth horizon with sunlight or darkness? The same goes for high Northern latitude lands and Antarctica, because of extended day and night times! People outside of USA are generally better aware of the outright sillyness of the whole "AM/PM" thing, and it can make you miss appointments as well, if some silly monkey did not specify 06:00 or 18:00 on the calendar, and instead uses 6, without saying which 6!
If a 24 hr dial is a deal killer for you, you need to reevaluate some things about yourself.

I'll pass. Remove the tachymeter or change the movement 🤷‍♂️😊

The more I see of Cadisen, I think they try to be original, and cannot quite do it, so they do very infuriatingly poor copies compared to other homage makers, when they could have NICE original watches!
I would say, get it, if you like it, because it has its own merits and is pretty and a compact easy wearer, but if you want a Lunar Pilot, skip it!
This one misses the mark as an homage quite badly, due to round mushroom-stick pushers, vs. the whip-petals on the original, the face with panda eyes is all wrong, and these non-original panda eyes also make the main hands hard to read when they cross into them. I find this outright abuse of panda eyes by all major makers (yes, the big original ones as well) rather more than annoying. You mention the shortcomings of the VD51 as well :)
What is especially NUTS about Cadison, is how they made a Patek Phillipe chrono homage with rectangular pushers vs. the original mushrooms! They did it exactly backwards on these 2. I really do not get it!
The Pagani PD 1782 is a far better Lunar Pilot homage, but also insists on panda eyes. At this time, the only good Loonie homage is Bulova's own in house homage, with its more appropriate functions calibre, but it is also quartz, vs. the original automatic. It is also more expensive, with the cheapest available on Amazon US with a soft strap for under USD 400. It is attainable with some saving, but I'd balk spending USD 400+ (tax!) on an homage, when the Pagani 1782 is there for well under USD 100.
The best "Moon Watch" homage is hence still the "Speedy Omega" homage by Pagani, the PD 1701.
