This helped me so much. I didn't even need the breakout board, only needed to know about the resistors, as I pulled a pad on mine. Soldered the entire plug back on and ran a tiny bit of solder directly from the pin to the resistor and I'm golden now. Thank you!
hey thanks for this video, i was wondering if you new which diode was the correct one on the mamba f405 board? i see there's only one 3 pin diode like you described, but I just wanted to make sure and ask you thanks again!
I'm dealing with trying to find these solder points on a BETAFPV 20A AIO Toothpick FC do you have any info on where the USB solder points would be for this? I'm not finding the diode and I think the other points may be sideways. At that How do I test for the D+ and D- points?
damn never thought i would have to watch this but my matek f405 ctr has bad legs on usb input..anyway to repair just usb and not have all this other crap?
I was wondering if you could leave me a link to what you think are some good soldering tips that would fit your rework station? I have the same one. Thank you for all the information you share with us.
Thank you for the fantastic video. Absolutely top notch content! Question: I am very interested in the USB device that has so many functions including SBUS and can be used with simulators. I was not able to buy one as it is sold out. Will it be available again or do you have link to your own webstore ? Thank you very much and all the best of luck.
Hey, I had the negative pad pull off on my Mamba F40 ESC. First time I've ever had this happen. Any suggestions where I can solder my battery - to? Am I toast?
Hey just an idea for another series: I have a combo AIO FC/ESC board which has one faulty esc fail making the whole expensive board useless. I would love to bypass the broken esc with another one somehow even if it sits somewhere else on the quad. Think this is even possible?
Do you have a video on how to flash older CC3D boards to Betaflight? I have several older boards running Libre pilot and I’d like to use them on Betaflight👍🏻
Very useful video for me because I have a board kakute f4 v2 with destroyed usb with no traces. I managed to locate the two resistors for D+ and D- but I can't locate which is the three legs diode in order to soldering the 5v . Could you please help me with that? Thanks in advance
good stuff to know if you are using flight controllers, always something burns or breaks and you need to hack the board to keep it flying, all my boards have some chips or some capacitor replaced...they burn easy. Easiest way to solder without hot gun and just with simple solder gun is to attach small wires, this way you will not damage the other components and is easy to solder
Hello, than you for your helpful videos, My question is: I jumpe my FC matek F411 and now doesn't work and get very hot afte conecté the batería or the usb cable. It is posible fix after that happened or not?
After an hard crash on one arm, my osd disappeared and sometimes I get black screen. Also usb power up but no data transfer to pc, tried different cables and all driver fixes but nothing. When I push the vtx around, sometimes I get the osd back or loose the video, depends. But usually the video keeps working. I have a Tinyhawk 2 freestyle with a MatekF411rx AIO. Everything else works fine, any clue? thanks! EDIT: somehow some pin of the mcu weren't touching correctly. if pressed on it, connection would come back. soldering iron and very carefully I passed it on those pins. seems to work now
Mi fc doesent have any light on...and i can't get it working. It's a f22 hackrc aio. Thing si that when i turn on drone, the motors do the check, and i have video, but i don't have control transmisión and it doesent turn on any light, this was after a crash on grass. Thanks
Thank you, the port just broke off my FC, so I needed this tutorial! Quick follow up question: Instead of bothering with soldering the VCC 5V, would it be possible to just plug in the battery, while having D+, D-, and ground?
Hi Drone Mesh. I've noticed you did a review on StarF3S flight controller. I have bricked my StarF3S flashing SPRACING3 (which I would expect to be a suitable firmware for this being STM32F3****). Flashing went fine and it said it was successful... Yet it doesn't even connect to the PC, I don't hear the sound of the thing getting connected. How can I revive it? Thanks in advance
When i do this my pc doesn't recognize the device. It displays it as an unrecognized device in Device Manger. should i connect the IO pad also?? btw my IO pad is ripped off so...anybody know a solution?
Time to buy a new FC! This is way past my league. Way to confusing! I tell ya you know your stuff though. Appreciate all of your videos, but this one got me! Yikes!

That looks familiar! Thanks bro! I definitely can't wait for the next video of this sort! Thanks again for everything you do!
Thank you.So much good information here
Why put the 5 volt on that leg? Could it be put in the spot the usb is at, where you checked?

Fantastic, dude! Thanks a lot for that! 😃

Did you manage to do this with the matek board? I have the same flightcontroller, and intend to do this when the usb arrives:P
I have a matek f405 osd board with same problem, I'm thinking to just connect the D- AND D+ FROM THE USB AND POWER IT VIA A 5V PADS ON IT
Very useful,thanks Meshy.
What’s this fc ?
I was wondering if you could leave me a link to what you think are some good soldering tips that would fit your rework station? I have the same one. Thank you for all the information you share with us.

Hey yes what is the fc?? I have the same one but can't remember what it is. Thank you in advance
Is there any way to repair lifted pads on an FC without special tools?
does the colour of the cable matter?
Thank you! :D

This is information I hope I won't need, but nice video. :)
In my case dont have any 22ohm resistors. Thats was out, same usb port. In that case, how I can fix?

the problem is how i can abilitate a different Uart for this adaptor if i can’t go in Betaflight because the usb c is broke

Hi I did exactly as you said. Got windows sound. But windows says that there is a problem with the device. It's got power. Blue light flashes.???
You fix it?

Press the button on the FC then connect USB.. and you can flash it again.
Hey I have some 32bit esc and they are the same but different firm ware how do I change firmware
Before doing that make sure the Fet Drvier and the mosfets are exactly the same
@@DroneMesh they are it's the exact same just different firmware

What USB breakout is he using? Anyone know? And where I can get one?
Hmmm
Maybe I can fix the f/c I most
“rude-fully” manhandled. Thx
Looking for more of this type of content. 👍
I have a omnibus mini f3 that won't do nothing I get a solid red light that's all won't hook to betaflight nothinh my pc reads it
90% chance your 3.3v reg is fried ... Test for a short on ground and 3.3v on your board.
@@DroneMesh ok I'll try that I did a trade and that's how it came
@@DroneMesh just check I got 3.3 at my 3.3v and 5 at my 5v

perfect. Hopefully i can repair my f405 wing board

All usb data pass through a 22 ohm resistor and thats it. Thats 90% of how to fix.
If it's an F4.. also F3 but I dont knownthe resistor values but should be close to the USB port
@@DroneMesh I have a mamba, but without The resistors. Them are broken too. Just the home, without any trave.
