My favorite Rush song of all time, listened to it all the way through high school and college every time I had a track and field and cross-country meet. Always about 45 minutes before I competed, "The Camera Eye" would get me psyched up.
This was a GREAT concert. I say this because it holds many good memories for me. The Time Machine Tour was the last RUSH concert that my dad and I attended together before he passed away six months later. My dad was still rockin at that concert even at 68 years old. Thanks for the memories and it was good quality!
This brings me back to that concert last year... Something I'll never forget, the show was amazing and so were those three guys that play their instruments like no one else does!
I was at that show for my 50th birthday with my now deceased son. Must have been filmed by somebody right in front of me because I was sitting dead center in the half way up isle. One great memory!
Thanks for the upload! Excellent! This is one of Rush' songs that we never get tired to listen! It will always sound new, intelligent and interesting to witness!
It doesn't get much better than that! I saw the same tour in Tampa at outdoor amputheater, Note for note these 50 something PROS haven't lost a thing. Today's generation just doesn't understand great music that will stand the test of time! You pick the band and I'll gaurantee 30 years from now it won't be anywhere to even be debated. Enjoy bands like Rush and pay the ticket price, it's WORTH IT!!!
This is the track Rush fans have been waiting 30 years to see and hear live and they do it even better NOW than they did on the Moving Pictures tour (saw them twice in '81!) Wickedcurve nailed this video giving a full stage view with all of the spectacular visuals displayed. Nice job and excellent quality! Enjoyed it full screen at 720p!
I was probably thirty feet to the right of who ever filmed this show. This was an incredible concert. The stage at Starlight is a large castle with turrets and a line of trees surround the audience . The sun sets stage left. Very dramatic.
cool video. i'm going to see them tomorrow night in concord, ca for the first time ever. always loved moving pic's. came out freshman year of highschool! oh, the nostaglia:)
excellent, thx for the upload. I saw them 08/28 in Minneapolis. But I grew up in KC. I have seen several concerts at Starlight back in the day. I love to see KC people showing love for Rush!
Thanks for posting! i seen Rush 3 times in the 80's Had to drive to Baltimore to see Rush from the Phila area. Every time Rush was playing in Phila last few years it was allways in the Ampitheather setting which i don't really like. Show was great
I'm sure I've said it before concerning this particular video, but thanks for a job well done! It was a pleasure watching this again because of the anticipation of getting to see this amazing band perform again this coming April. Last year was great, 2011 will be even better, AND with a new album due! Thanks, man, thumbs up to you.
@wickedcurve haha. i was actually downloading the audio from the show and the person who posted it mentioned it, which is why I looked it up. but yes, it is amazing what we can see!
thanks! great material... Rush sounds as an "easy to play songs" but it does not..!! Great band and I loved Rush concert here in Chile 2010. The music and good vibrations has no frontiers or flags..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dude great camera work. I know how much concentration it takes to hold a camera steady when you really want to rock out. I gotta wait another month before seeing them, so much appreciated.
No doubt the highlight of the TMT -- and sadly, TCE is still Rush's latest long-form track to date. At least they were nice enough to pull this one out for us!
@wickedcurve I think it looks great. Not much you can do once the smoke starts playing with the lighting. I have good sound on my videos but they get blurry at times because of smoke or when someone in front of me moves and the camera chooses to focus on their hair or something...
everything rage said, ditto! AMAZING video! holy shyt! i've watched more videos than i can count, this one is top shelf! very interested in camera and settings used, thanks so much for sharing!
Awesome song, awesome quality, except for the fact that the speaker appears to be covered by your hand or something at different times. My brother did the same thing when he filmed a concert in 2008.
@rshcry24 Thanks for your compliment and critique! Yeah, the mic on my camera is a tiny pin hole located in front of the camera. Actually listening to most of my videos I don't really detect too much of that, and I don't think it's me blocking the mic so much as it is the video was recorded at an outdoor venue and the sound seems different as well as hit and miss (for lack of better wording).
You did a phenominal job on this video man. Good sound, steady cam. Mine came out with decent sound from MSG but bad vid as cam kept focusing on ppl's heads.
@JCM1325 Totally agree with you on that. I thought the same thing. His bass sounded very "mid-rangey" with very little low end. The taurus pedals sure kicked ass on this sound. :)
@Annonymus121 It's known as "steampunk" it's a sci-fi way of making tools using normal materials like steel, wool, steam, and so much other stuff. Best example I can really think of would be the Wild Wild West movie staring Will Smith.
@BassManGilbert (just a light hearted comment) just like in the opening intro about being a genius, Geddy might say to Neil, "to the crowd you might be considered a professor of drumming, to the WORLD you might be a professor of drumming, but to me you're no professor of drumming"....
@tonusaitis well, as along as we're being picky... did you hear the totally wrong note Alex plays at 4:29? he just missed it by a half step down... oops! ha, it makes me like them even more... I love this band, and having played about 7 million CORRECT notes, I'm thinking if they play one or two bad ones, they're still way ahead... GO RUSH !!!
Great quality. What is the make and model of this camera? Looking to purchase a new one for this tour so I'm curious as this one does a pretty good job.
@tonusaitis The sad part is that it's not too horribly apparent either. If you know how the drum part fits in there you notice, but otherwise they managed to sync up so easily you wouldn't even have known they messed up if you had never heard the song.
Did anyone else notice his bass on this tour? It looks like his 1972 Jazz, but with a different neck (no block inlays) and a mother of pearl pickgaurd. It scared me but I got used to it.
It looks like Neil got caught in a pickle around 2:20 when he came in a little late with his drum fill - Geddy looked over. LOL Then he was stuck a a beat or two behind and came in late again around 2:31. Maybe he couldn't hear the keyboard change at 2:15 well enough that begins the musical passage. Sorry, don't mean to be mean and I love the performance, but it's comforting to see that Neil Peart is actually HUMAN! He doesn't make many mistakes.
I was there that night. Of all the Rush shows i have been to this is my favorite. Last concert with a late good friend and Rush fan " Big Wave Dave"
Thanks for your comment. I have other videos on my channel from that night. Go check them out when you’re able to. 👍🏼

Saw this tour in Jersey on 9/3, recently busted leg and all. Was not going to miss this show. Well worth it. Nice post.
This brings me back to that concert last year... Something I'll never forget, the show was amazing and so were those three guys that play their instruments like no one else does!
What a great band. Best in the business. I never miss their tours.
Thanks so much for the great video.

I’m sorry to read about your son. 🙏🏼
I don't know how Rush seems to get better the older they get, but I'm glad they do. What fucking legends.
saw the tour at alpine valley in 81
i can barely watch this without falling apart,i don't know how they can perform it
fucking bravo!
Thanks for the upload! Excellent! This is one of Rush' songs that we never get tired to listen! It will always sound new, intelligent and interesting to witness!
Saw them in June in Greenville, S.C.. "The Camera Eye" blew me away.
It doesn't get much better than that! I saw the same tour in Tampa at outdoor amputheater, Note for note these 50 something PROS haven't lost a thing. Saw the tour in Sept 18th in VA Great show have seen the boys 30+ times but Moving Pics in it's entirety rocked........nuff said!!

Nice shot of one of my three original favorites, performed live.
OMFG now i'm so glad for have whached this tour
i'll remeber that for my whole life rush rules!!!!
I saw them in Seattle last Saturday and this sound sounded the best.
I was probably thirty feet to the right of who ever filmed this show. This was an incredible concert. The stage at Starlight is a large castle with turrets and a line of trees surround the audience . The sun sets stage left. Very dramatic.
WAHOO! Seein' the boys again in May at the M.E.N. Let the good times roll!
Nice job! We saw this in Allentown, PA, I won't soon forget it.
I'm still reeling after the show 6/8/11 in Greenville, S.C.. First Rush show there since 'Exit Stage Left' and they played 'The Camera Eye' then, too!
I need a time machine to go back to when I was at the concert!
Seeing them August 5th! First RUSH concert and they're playing Camera Eye!
cool video. i'm going to see them tomorrow night in concord, ca for the first time ever. always loved moving pic's. came out freshman year of highschool! oh, the nostaglia:)

Two words....freaking awesome!!!
Hope this tour comes out on video this is my favorite all time Rush song!
The intro to this song is one of the best in Music History, along with Xanadu and Baba O'Riley...
Definitivamente se escucha mejor que los otros, aquí si se distingue el bajo! Gracias!
Great vid and sound of my favourite rush-song! Thanks....
Thanks for posting! i seen Rush 3 times in the 80's Had to drive to Baltimore to see Rush from the Phila area. Every time Rush was playing in Phila last few years it was allways in the Ampitheather setting which i don't really like. Show was great
Excellent! So frigging excellent!
perfect one of my favs, i still want to hear losing it :( live, nice camera
can't get over how good this is, just sick, thanks again
It's so damn good... it's ridiculous !!
cant wait for the European tour in a few months...
can't wait to see their 2011 vancouver show this thursday!
The focus is sharp in the city !! I was at the chicago concert, Awesome vid, thank you !
Awesome...........................
Great, the BEST!!!! My Hero's!!
That 5:44-6:10 segment just hits me to the core . Just power and finesse .
I'm sure I've said it before concerning this particular video, but thanks for a job well done!

@harrybrandy thank you very much for your compliment! It was my pleasure!
i love this band

Wow great job.Hope u got to enjoy the show,while giving us such GREAT video.RUSH might want to think of paying you...LOL
IMO a better version than the one on the new live dvd
Dude great camera work. I know how much concentration it takes to hold a camera steady when you really want to rock out. I gotta wait another month before seeing them, so much appreciated.
No doubt the highlight of the TMT -- and sadly, TCE is still Rush's latest long-form track to date. At least they were nice enough to pull this one out for us!
It HAD to be about 120 degrees on stage that night!
@wickedcurve I think it looks great. Not much you can do once the smoke starts playing with the lighting. I have good sound on my videos but they get blurry at times because of smoke or when someone in front of me moves and the camera chooses to focus on their hair or something...

Well said!!!! Rush!!!!

roll on 22/05/11 birmingham uk , wild horses ,wont keep me away .........
@mikbstorm thank you so much for the compliment!
The vocals on this one are good, the other vids seem kind of dodgy but this one is great, thanks for the upload bravo!
@BassManGilbert good eye, amazing what video can capture what you would've otherwise miss...it's clearly seen where Geddy shakes his head...funny
Man, Ged is having a bit of a time with some of the higher octaves these days. Still great to see them owning shit though. Thanks for the vid.
SIMPLY THE BEST .
Very Cool !

R u s h is magic.........
Right on!
I want a "RASH" shirt, too!
@SqueezeThis, thank you for the compliment and you're welcome!
@oldjizzy They're gonna be there april 17th, but the ticket presale is already over
@BassManGilbert (just a light hearted comment) just like in the opening intro about being a genius, Geddy might say to Neil, "to the crowd you might be considered a professor of drumming, to the WORLD you might be a professor of drumming, but to me you're no professor of drumming"....
P
@photostation69 Thank you so much for your great compliment! I tried my best...
@EStTramp Thank you!
@systemdown4 I was there, it was Geddy going too fast..lol!!!
@systemdown4 If you watch Geddy, he looks over at Neil, then looks back at the keys, shaking his head.
GO RUSH !!!
@ChevKen Ha! I still have that vinyl!
Great quality. What is the make and model of this camera? Looking to purchase a new one for this tour so I'm curious as this one does a pretty good job.
too bad that the camera's mike turned into mono-mode when it zoomed out. for the rest, nice capture of the atmosphere.
@nebfandan I agree wholeheartedly! A nice intimate venue, not too big...just right!
@deepinthepocket thank you for your compliment! I just wish it had been a lot better in certain lighting instead of having a cartoonish look...
Well the time machine thing's on alex's side are amps what are the things on geddy's side, dressed up washing machine's perhaps
@tonusaitis The sad part is that it's not too horribly apparent either. If you know how the drum part fits in there you notice, but otherwise they managed to sync up so easily you wouldn't even have known they messed up if you had never heard the song.
The Camera Eye!
@systemdown4 @EStTramp @Ragemous, thank you all!
@harrybrandy Yeah I noticed it too, and was just about to mention it
Hey wicked, this is no bullshit, this is real good quality, what camera were you using, just a perfect glimpse of what's beyond...
@libertatus
So did I. they were outstanding! Msically, they have no equal as a live band.
Did anyone else notice his bass on this tour? It looks like his 1972 Jazz, but with a different neck (no block inlays) and a mother of pearl pickgaurd. It scared me but I got used to it.
wc, what are you using to shoot with and how do you have the mic set? Incredible video's with great sound, I am envious.
@elekrikal its comparatively alot better than other camera phone stuff out there....

@elekrikal thank you...lol
@bassnebula93 You're welcome!
@ninthave Have a great time, I know I did!
@MyAccount4TrollingU ?!
@sparkles67 You'll have a great time!
