Well, it was actually the first thing that caught my attention ;-) However, personally I think the DX7 is, despite its popularity, a horrible machine. It came to glory because back in the day, there weren't that many "affordable", "mobile", polyphonic synths (and with new "FM" thingy in it), so a lot of people bought it and recorded with it, and of course a lot of good music also came out with it. Then later people liked the good music and wanted a DX7 for themselves. Although, I still think it's a horrible machine in itself ;-)
Hey dude, I am trying to ask as many artists this as possible, so please do answer and respond with an honest answer. Id appreciate it. Whats your 'current' go to synth for chords that you own, and whats a possible future synth you would like if you had to replace it. 👍🏻
@@turfoid7899 I remember seeing your name a Martin Sturtzer 3 hour set. What are you using? I just got a Access Virus Ti2 for just chords. It's more than enough. A lot of too much synthesizer with its synthesis engine. I'm also getting Waldorf Iridium. The only reason I bring these two up is anytime I listen to any deep, cinematic, intricate, and sophisticated music... there always there. To be clear, the Virus maybe 10 years old but there still isn't a replacement for it. The Iridium is godsend of melodic bliss.
Thank you, i enjoy your work and please make longer sessions since i don't mind little mistakes or you searching for a new groove while jamming. More power to you and double thumbs up from me.
@Stephen Anthony Glad you enjoy the music! Is that some joke I am not getting or do you seriously wish to kill people because you don´t like their haircut?
^Agreed 200%, You're very good! Keep rocking! Some "Phat" tunes! Maybe not the same genre, but have you ever listened to "Urbana" by Michael Brook, from his album Cobalt Blue
Really beautiful and delicate textures, and I loved the FM pads also. Very inspiring work, as usual. Und vielen Danke für das download! Peace from Madrid, Spain
I really like the work flow you have going on with your setup. I'm sure it makes it easier to just be creative rather than technical. It's no surprise your music has a nice flow to it, haha! Hope to see more videos.
I like it, want to listen to it on a rainy day. I shall attempt something similar with my Mother 32 and Juno 106 soon. Used to have the Polar, lovely synth
Hey, I just stumbled in here, Glad I did, really lush tunes, nicely shot and just subscribed. This has a peaceful in the dark future city at 5am, waiting for a sunrise vibe to me, nicely performed! will come back and check out your other jams! Nice, Jeramiah (Module) from NZ :)
Was really surprised by the Yamaha DX7. I know of its popularity. Our church had one but I always felt it sounded so cold. I'm assuming he's applying some type of effects to it to give it a richer sound.
Very cool stuff, I really enjoyed listening! Nicely composed and the sound is mellow; atmospheric. Thank you! It sounds like a video game theme or a soundtrack.
Keep coming back to this video. Didn't realise it was available on bandcamp now. Just bought it :-) Love the pad at the start on the DX7. Is that one of the presets or something you programmed yourself?
182,000 views and nobody noticed that I listed the "Yahama DX7" in the description. The synth is almost as popular as the Ronald Jupiter!

182000 people far too polite to bring it to your attention or simply mesmerised by the sounds

Only in Ambient you can play your jam and take a sip of coffee at the same time. Loved it.
That's why I love the ambient!
Or if you take a lax approach to Jazz. Include some measures of silence in your solo ;)
Martin, dass ist mit Abstand der coolste Dub Techno Track den ich gehört habe, simple aber sehr gut, danke für die Inspiration

I forgot I was listening and just became the video. Great work.
This is the sort of music that's deeper than the deepest black hole, extremely difficult to get right when playing live but you nailed it. love it.
That sounds great!
This is really the best dub jam i've heard so far, and i saw lot of them on Utube so... You are talented, keep doing, thankful for my ears ahah
Thanks a lot for your nice words!

Always so stylish. The DX-7 sounds so dreamy and the chord stabs so deep, perfect!

The cat did a great job, and Mr. Sturtzer, too

You won´t believe it: they were broken by a student. If you refer to the sticks I used in another ambient video.
