2020 Tournament #2 - Qualifying Race 6
Race Rules:
- 4 cars compete in 4 races
- points are scored based on finishing position. (1st = 5 points, 2nd = 3 points, 3rd = 2 points, 4th = 1 point, DNF = 0 points)
- Car with the most points advances to the tournament

I was unreasonably angered about the first win, that’s how good these are.
Yeah, some race results can feel a little disappointing when that type of thing happens.
If you wreck and end up partially off track that should be an automatic zero
I don't think the blue car crossed the line on the track before the white car. Key words "on the track". So I was angered as well, haha. 😅
For endings like that there could be a rule that the driver whose front wheels cross the line first gets the win. Clean driving should count for something.

Everybody is talking about the crash at the end of the first race, but a much bigger problem is that the organizers messed up the lineup over the four races. Jimbo (the white car) got put at the back three times (ending on 0 points) and Stranger racer (the blue car) got put at the front three times and won the round (on top of winning the first race without being on the track). If I was Rastag Racing or Gus Greenfield, I would be submitting a filing to the Court of Arbitration for Sport! And, NO... they are not just toy cars going down a plastic track in a garage somewhere! Lives are at stake!! :-)
Yeah, third race Retro rebel should have been on the second lane. I hope this will be adressed. Something definitely fishy here. Busted luck should have win this probably... Definitely wears his name like a glove...
Yeah, Jimbo and Rebel were in the wrong places at the start of race two, they'd been wrongfully swapped. Me thinks there was some shady deals going on with the bookies 🤔
First of all; It is a testament to how good a job you do that I am emotionally invested enough to say the following; "Letting the blue camaro have the win, when it was half off the track and doing nothing but being an obstruction, handed him the overall win by 3 points. Doesn't anyone see a flaw in that logic? You should make it a rule that if you are immobile and are pushed across the finishline, the highest you can finish is second." A car finishing under it's own power should get the win or at the least a car halfway off the track and immobile should not be allowed to take first. At least dock points for having to be pushed across, even that would level the playing field.

If you join the pit crew you get to have a vote. But in this case you would have been voting for the loser. Just like I did.

@THE AVERAGE BEAR Seems about right.
If you don't allow another car to push a car at the end of the race, then you have to disallow it if it happens earlier in the race. Unless the rule states that if the car is stalled on the final straightaway and gets a push to get going again, then that car cannot finish ahead of the car that pushed it.
One flaw: _none_ of these cars are moving under their own power; they ALL rely on gravity to move them down race mountain. That's why it's race _mountain_ and not race plains.
There maybe more and more tracks out there as elaborate as Race Mountain, but this secret sauce is the excellent buy 2D and 3D. That makes Race Mountain and 3dbotmaker the gold standard.
As I mentioned before; gotta do a post tournament "Crowd Favorites" exhibition race set. My current picks are Green Men Patrol and Busted Luck!

These races are ridiculous! You cannot script what happens and yet it seems so spectacular it had to be scripted, even though it's not.

That's what got me hooked on die-cast racing. Amazed when a car comes up from behind another and seems to consciously switch lanes and pass on a straightaway. The commentary, camera work and editing are second to none.

Busted luck should've gotten the first win. I know the wheel of the blue passed but should be counted as wheels on the floor. I mean consider that the wheel in the air did Not trip the timer to stop. It was busted luck. Just my opinion.

These videos are great. They are Chaos Theory, with commentators.
That gus greenfield car with the small wheels in the front was really interesting to watch in the corners. The smaller wheels made it less stable but if there was a car next to it in the turn it was faster because the car kept him in line.

I protest the result of the first race! The white car crossed the finish line first while the blue car was out of the track. The finish line is the yellow stripe on the track, not a virtual line crossing the universe.
It's terrible I find these races more entertaining than actual real cars racing

Instead of a finish "line", how about a finish "line segment"? So the race isn't over until the car reaches the paint.
Besides, if you treat it like a line that extends past the edge of the track, the cars pass it twice on the way down the mountain.
