Really like french toast, great prep using the coffee creamer. Have not used the brioche bread, tough to find in our walmarts in other towns but now will have to call ahead. We use real maple syrup from Sugarbush farm in VT.
The trick is to use a hard or stale bread, mix up your batter and poor it over the bread in a backing dish. Let it sit overnight so the bread soaks up all of the batter. Cook slower on the griddle (still by the slice, not in the baking dish) so it really cooks through. It ends up almost like a custard.
I bought Bliss coffee creamer. I tied it two mornings in a row in my coffee, and then poured it out in the sink. I like the rest of the ingredients, but I prefer maple syrup on French Toast. Thanks for the video.
Saw this, tried it, then had grandkids spend the night and did it again for breakfast. Now they expect it every time they spend the night. School has started and so has Soccer. I was asked (by grandkids) if they could come and eat breakfast before Church. They are 45 minutes away. They have great parents (no bias just the truth) and we are going to try it. Like my Daughter in Law says, "Making memories is part of a happy life". I think my son will soon have a Griddle in his patio, I heard he has been looking.
Absolutely loved the brioche bread and Natural Bliss recipe!! I made it on the Blackstone and the whole family raved about it! Thank you from a fellow NW PA griddle fanatic!
It is only 8* here in Ohio right now and I am going out to make breakfast, including French toast. Thank you so much for the creamer idea, I just bought the new Nestle Oatmeal cream pie flavor so ill be using that! Thanks for teaching me so much about my new griddle!
Does the Blackstone griddles heat evenly across the top or do they have hot spots. Great job your videos is the reason I am looking at one as soon as they come to my Walmart.
Hi, Russell. The griddles heat quite evenly. You obviously won't get an absolute identical heat reading in absolutely every part of the griddle but it's pretty darn uniform. Thanks for watching. God bless!
Why do I not come to NC? I was in SEVEAL North Caolina cities last year. Look through my videos. This year's tour was cancelled in March when just about everything on planet earth was cancelled. I had no control over that. Hopefully you caught me in NC last year?
Noticed Todd's United Parcel Service [UPS] shirt. Wonder did or does he work for them. French toast looked good though will have to try in near future.
Hi Sean - No, but I joke that I'm the "official griddler of UPS!!!!." A few of my subscribers work for UPS and they have sent or brought me lots of UPS swag over the years!!!! Thanks for watching.
@@praisehisawesomename No thank you. I will have to try this on my 17 inch blackstone. By the way the 17 inch worked great on a camping trip recently. Cooked different breakfeasts (3 mornings) & different dinners (3 nights) including walleye & perch I had caught on lake Erie. The fish along with green beans & sliced potatoes in butter on the grill turned out great. Cooked for two.
Todd, my wife txt me at 11:35 advising she bought brioche for French toast and then your video posts at 6:30 am while I'm at the end of my shift..... So do you agree with great minds think alike? Thank you for another great recipe and video! Safe travels...
Love the video. Whenever my wife and I go out for breakfast she always orders French toast. I have not tried it on the Blackstone yet but you got me hooked I'm going to have to do that sometime this week I think I'll do something very similar add strawberries to it that way I get the red white and blue thank you Todd
Thank you Todd, you always make great looking food. I know it takes a lot of hard work, we have a 17" and a 28" Blackstone, we love them. Take care and stay safe.
We tried it this morning and it was excellent! We subbed the coffee creamer for heavy whipping cream and added homemade whipped cream too! Thanks for the recipe!

Bliss? That natural stuff isn't very good. I didn't use creamer as syrup. I'm syrup all the way. Thanks for watching!

I know that you clean your Griddle after each mean, but do you steam & give it another quick wipe down before you hit record..?
