I'm in the U.S. and recently purchased a FORM grip for my Rhino Nebula. I have a smaller hand, and the stock grip on the Nebula was a bit too wide for my taste. When I made my order, FORM was kind enough to take extra material out of the grip at no extra charge. Great customer service! The grip fits my hand perfectly and look spectacular on the revolver. It is more ergonomic than the stock grip and is very pleasant to shoot with. I would definitely recommend these grips for anyone looking to upgrade their Rhino!
I joke to gun enthusiasts that I have small "Hobbit Hands" despite standing nearly six feet tall. (I got 'em from my dad.) When the time comes to order a FORM grip, I'll be asking them to take extra material out of mine too. Now that you have the grip for a couple of years, is there anything you would've had FORM do to the grip to make the fit better?
Finally! Someone is actually starting to make nice full size grips for the rhino! I've been wanting something like this ever since I bought my rhino, but I've been really disappointed in the lack of grips available. I actually haven't been able to find any until this video. The stock rhino grips are just way too small and not comfortable at all. Why has it taken so long for a company to make these? I will definitely be ordering these grips.
Great video. Just ordered a 60DS with the nickel finish. One of my dream guns. I'll eventually get one of these grips, but the Chiappa already cost me a king's ransom lol. I appreciate this video, though. Beautiful grips.
I am now seriously thinking of getting these grips I’ve just purchased my chiappa rhino in Nebula, I found the original grip has a swell point on the upper left hand side and with the recoil coming straight back in the corner of my thumb joint it bloody hurts so these look so much more comfortable.
I found that you also needed to put the thick metal slot shaped washer found in the original grips into the new grips. Otherwise you are trying to screw the nut directly into the wood and it doesn’t tighten quite enough.
Im so cluless here in the USA 1st what is the clothea hanger for? Is it in caae you lock your key in the car? 2nd what is that thing out the muzzle? I dont even think my rhi o barrels have internal threads 3rd i love the grips...very nice
It's basically to stop it being able to be concealed carried and also because it technically makes it a rifle under UK law (because most pistols and revolvers are banned in Great Britain, for most people).
Very nice Callum ,I find the original grip a bit small ,gonna try and tap the Mrs up for one of these for Crimbo ,can't decide on the black or red yet .Really does look better too .
What kind of grouping can you expect from these in .357 at 50 yards? Obviously its all shooter dependant but im just looking to know what these could be capable of😁
Our hands look similar in size. I noticed how your pinky just barely makes it around the front. How did it feel shooting? Do you wish it was a bit smaller? I read some guy pit in a request to have some material removed.
Thanks for that Callum. It does look better with the blue rather than the original. I wonder if the price is worth it though. And I do agree that no-one likes to see protruding nuts!!
I think the price is relative, £150 for grips on a £1100-£1200 isn't too bad. Especially when it's fairly common to drop a £700 Remington 700 into a £800 AI chassis.
@@EnglishShooting Yes, I can see that; it's what I want to do with a Remington so I can get into long range shooting. I still want a Rhino too though!!
Whats the exemption made to the revolver form in UK law that allows centre fire cartridges? i mean for all intent and purpose its a semi automatic firearm. Thought all centre fires had to be some form of straight pull/bolt action/lever action. It cant be the round count surely? Like .22 can be semi auto just not centre fire.
Revolvers are mechanically-indexing, not semi-auto, and can therefore be centrefire. Semi-auto in UK law is using the energy from a shot fired to cycle the action of the gun. Revolvers do not do this. It's a shame that there aren't more revolving rifles made, as they are the only centre-fire rifles allowed that shoot simply by pulling the trigger.
ApurtureSci ahh thanks, that does make sense. I remember there was a few historical guns that had a huge level of mechanical indexing. Cant remember the name of it but it had something crazy like a 42 round capacity. So basically going by the strictest legal definition of semi auto fire is what was the reason. Thanks man.
@EnglishShooting ... I bet you'uns drink you some of that thar EYE - talian CHI - anti wine with you'uns EYE - talian SPEE - ghetti too, don't you ? You're the first English hillbilly I've ever heard of ! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
when I changed the grip on mine I had to remove a plastic spacer from the original grip because with out it the form grip would not tighten up, but you did not do this
@@EnglishShooting oh cool another question i have is if someone broke into your home and they were armed and you had time to get to your shotgun would you face charges for using it in self defense?
It comes down to length, in Great Britain small arms are heavily restricted, so the barrel needs to be at least 12" long and overall length needs to be 24" long to be owned under a Firearms Certificate.
Just had a really random shower thought and came back to this video. Not that i want this banned in any way at all. I was thinking about the UK law for this, erm why is this not a banned firearm? So, semi automatic centre fire guns are illegal/section 5. In the UK legal sense the semi automatic function is described as using either gas actuation or blowback to cycle the firearms action. This is why revolvers slipped through as the action is not specifically semi automatic but rather “mechanically indexing” which is different and was allowed.... keeping the length at 24” as well making it a “mechanical indexing carbine” for legal purposes. However, the rhino in using the bottom barrel has to have a slightly more complex set up to get the trigger pull to reset. It uses the gas to reset the action, it is defined as a semi automatic revolver. So by UK law how would this be achieved for sale on a section 1 licence? Genuine question.
I think you might be thinking about the the Mateba? In any case both would be/are legal as per the recent Offensive Weapons act definition: Any rifle with a chamber from which empty cartridge cases are extracted using- (i)energy from propellant gas, or (ii)energy imparted to a spring or other energy storage device by propellant gas
JammyGuns interesting, I always thought it was due to the mechanical indexing nature of the operation rather than the chamber being cleared. so it’s covering; gas blowback/recoil operation and gas tube weapons, but it also must come with the notation “centre fire” on that rule as we have semi auto .22s. Does that not mean the MARS system would have been illegal anyways as the chamber is cleared by the guns operation after shooting, but requires intervention by the shooter to chamber the next round via the release?
@@lukebuxton26 As I understand it - and I'm admittedly by no means the best person to navigate the minefield that is UK firearms law - but from what Iv'e read/and am reading currently elsewhere on other forums the UK legislation is very specific in the use of the term 'self loading' ; that is to mean the extraction of a spent case and chambering of a new round per trigger pull via the use of propellant gas. MARS/LR rifles were legal but now the above legislation has been specifically worded/changed in the recent Offensive Weapons Act to also account for the 'self unloading' (spent case extraction via the means of gas) part of the cycle (with the exception of .22RF of course) rather than just the full cycle. From what Iv'e seen the Rhino doesn't use any sort of gas system at all, though the Mateba certainly does, but as neither system is ejecting and/or chambering via the usage of gas, I believe they're legal.
JammyGuns haha wow..... two letters changed in the law changes so much. Yes i think i was thinking of the Mateba, similar looking firearm. Thanks for the info. I want a Rhino, i love .357.
