I suppose so but also i think it's okay for people to save them too. Your house, do what you want. As long as you're not actively helping them reproduce and spread into neighbouring yards it's not my business how you deal with them.
The point is, there are other ways, more “ethical” ways of taking them out. Glue traps are a slow, scary and painful way for a creature to go vs. poisoning or snap mouse traps that kill much quicker.
I understand that it can be upsetting to see a mouse or any animal struggling in a trap trying to get free. But there are times where you just have to set those traps and get rid of them so there isn't an infestation. I lived in a apartment that was infested with mice that would chew through food supplies and attract maggots when one died in an isolated area, like near the dishes. We had to buy large plastic boxes to store our non-refrigerated food. We bought mouse traps and glues traps and caught a lot of mice. We can't get a cat bc we weren't allowed to have any pets. There was a time when I woke up and saw a very small mouse, limping across the floor. It was a baby mouse, and its leg was injured. In the end, I caught it and put it in a medium sized container with air holes. I fed it and gave it water. After it healed, I set it out in the back yard. Maybe it lived, maybe a cat came by and killed it. Call it harsh or inhumane, but if u had a mouse, rat, or bug infestation, u're gonna have to be harsh and get rid of them.

п. Yes it’s the point of the trap and the point of the post is that those traps are evil. To trap something and leave it to die such a horrendous death is just awful. Humans are horrible. If you need to control certain pests then do so in a humane way.
I am terrified of mice. I cannot deal with one. And unfortunately. Eight years ago. When I have my phone. At the time, my baby was five months old. And we had one in our apartment, my niece at the time was staying with me with her two children. And they were three and seven at the time. So here I am. With a five month old baby. BTW, I’m actually with a disability. I am totally blind. And I’m glad. But my niece saw it. She saw them off by the trashcan when we came home walking the door and her first reaction was. Oh my God!!!!, When I asked her why she was yelling oh my God, she says, auntie, I see and Bella by your trashcan. Now I immediately went into Terror mode. I was terrified. I have a five month old baby in my arms. My niece has her two kids. And we immediately ran into my room. I got all the things I needed for my baby like his formula. His water, and everything that I needed to make my babies formula for his next feeding. Because I didn’t wanna go in the kitchen. I was so scared. I’m sorry. I’m with you. If those things. It did not actually cost me a lot of money my manager, and I had to tell him a few times like look, there is a mouse in my apartment, not only have we seen one which are seeing more, I cannot live like this, I have an infant child, my niece has little children. We can’t live this way. You’ve got to do something. Actually come to think of it. The lady that used to work for me she’s said OK and she tried to tell my manager because I get this is the old-fashioned way. Where you can do it there’s something called chicken wire, and I guess that gets rid of them too and then they’re still wool or wood or whatever it is. And that helps keep them away too. The more the story is. I told manager do something make it happen, because I refuse to stay in my apartment if I’m gonna have a bunch of damn ass rotten running around. I don’t give us one, two, three, four then things multiply. And I ain’t trying to live like that. I don’t no longer have that problem that actually happened eight years ago, because my son was five months old at the time so I don’t have that problem. I don’t like mice. I will never like mice. So I look cute. But I am not Liking them. I think also, remember correctly I think the lady that used to work for me. I think she did get a glue trap cause I think of it, but whatever way they got rid of them I wasn’t coming back home until my problem was solved. I actually went to go stay with my sister. I took my baby, and went to go with my sister for a little while to my problem solved. Was stepping back in my apartment until I have no more mice issues.
We had a mouse at home once ( in the kitchen area). We didn't want to kill it at first so we tried for a week to catch it in the most humane way. We hand made a safe trap first with food and all , it didn't worked. Then we bought a safe trap out of Amazon. It still didn't worked. It was a week the mouse was there in the kitchen and when you know that rats and mouse can eat your food, poo in your food, bite you and give you dangerous or lethal illness, you don't take any risk. So we bought a sticky trap, and it worked directly. It was not pleasant to kill it but you have to do it for your safety, I hope the lady in the video would understand that.
I totally understand I’ve done it I put out rat poison on the farm in the barns and they cart it back to there nest kills them all, they have chewed up some stuff I’ll never be able to replace with meaning ..I use traps to kills them instant..they chew wires and cause fires ..I agree with what you did,

I was heartbroken because my husband's grandmother has passed and I'll never be able to have that link to his history to give to my son and grandchildren. There are more humane options than glue traps. That’s not pest control it’s pest torture. They chew off body parts to escape or they slowly starve to death. Snap traps seem more violent but are faster and easier. Wanna hug trees? They have live traps. Make them someone else’s problem and see if you still feel good about saving them.

I don't understand why no one in this comments section understands the point of this video. The creator isn't saying never set mouse traps, they are saying never set glue mouse traps and I have to agree, they're so incredibly cruel and evil to any creature that steps or slithers onto them. If they need to be caught then either get a live trap (only humane if you remember to check it though) or get a trap that kills instantly instead of letting them slowly die of starvation unable to move or breathe
@@kanae6033Live traps are easier and less expensive, you often have to buy a new glue trap each time a mouse is captured, there are plenty of live traps that can even catch multiple mice at a time and be reused the next day. I use them, then I drive 3-4 miles and drop them off in a wooded area. It’s worked and I’ve seen less and less mice since I started using them a few months back. Much better than glue traps.

Mice usually don’t carry serious diseases actually and rats didn’t spread the plague it was flees which where sometimes on rats but usually squeurls and humans!
It’s all good that she cared for the mouse but no one has touched on the facts that they are rodents…. They cut thru your walls, tear up clothing and books and paper to make a nest. If they were to become sick and die, you have the daunting task of trying to find it because the smell becomes unbearable. They chew on EVERYTHING….Yes, humane, but don’t forget how destructive they can be.
But these aren't rats, they're mice, and it's ok to trap them with a humane trap, but these glue ones are just horrible. No matter how damaging they are, they are still little souls with feelings of their own. Call me a snowflake, I don't care, that's just what i believe.

He used the plastic to create a trap door top for the bucket with food stuck to it. Bro caught so many fucking mice. For a person with the disability. To come across, a mice is absolutely quite terrifying. As I mentioned in my previous above comment, my niece was living with me when she saw the mouse. I had a five month old baby. She had a seven-year-old. And a three-year-old. They were living with me at the time. Imagine had they not been there. And it was just me by myself, and my infant child. I’m so glad that my niece was there to see it. Could you imagine being by yourself. And with the infant child. And then my start coming around. That wouldn’t have been good. That would’ve been terrible. And I’m scared of mice. The only mice that I like is Mickey Mouse, because he’s a character. Real life mice sorry I just don’t like them and I’m too scared of them. I do understand that you go to a pet store and there’s people who actually have pet mice. But those pet mice I imagine or I don’t know, what they do to keep them healthy and I don’t know if they care diseases or not or what the cases but I just am really afraid of them. I’ve always been afraid of them. And people can have mice so bad that they’re so bold. I knew. Of a family. my mom and we used to always go over to their house. I actually hate it going over there to be honest. But we used to go over there. And they had my so bad. To the point where these suckers would come out in broad daylight. They didn’t care if you were sitting down on the couch watching TV or nothing. They just run across your foot. Or something to that affect they did not care. So I’m sorry when I say. That mice or dangerous. They cared diseases. And I ain’t trying to get bitten by one. And I ain’t trying to have in my house. And I don’t have a pet cat to take care of it. So the moral of my situation is that it did get resolved. I don’t have the problem anymore and that happened about eight years ago. And I have not had that problem since thank God for that.

@@jackbassett3091 When you're trying to get rid of something or an animal you're not really thinking of that, I'd much rather use a different trap that kills them quick rather than the slow death a glue trap has, but sometimes you have to let things happen, it sounds cruel, but you can't save every mouse you catch especially if you have a mice infestation.
@@KoshiChilloshi I get that, but a glue trap is torture. I understand that you can't save them all, but it can't be that hard to get literally any trap that doesn't subject the animal to extended pain and suffering. Especially when it's possible to make your own traps that are equally if not more effective that don't kill the mice. Throw them in a field 2 miles away and they won't be able to find their way back. Dispose of the mice however you want, but there's a line between necessary cruelty (either they at least have a chance to live or are ended quickly) and unnecessary torture (glue traps).

Well in the country mice can get out of control so easy. I had a cat also, and he took care of the that problem. Remember that they carry disease. So remember that cats serve a purpose to all.
My dad sets up glue traps because we've got mice in our home, and we check-up on the spots regularly, and dispatch the mice when found. But, it is sad when we find one dead already. Usually, they expend their energy all at once, which causes them to die. Update: So, my dad got these sweet electric traps. The mice just walk in, eat the peanut butter, step on panel 1, then panel 2, and then they ride the lightning. We're not sure if they die instantly or if they ride the lightning for a bit first, but it's sure as hell better than being stuck to a little black tray for 3 hours.
Bruh the plague happened over centuries ago where humans were much more cruel towards animals than they are now. It didn’t flourish because people were like “awww, we shouldn’t kill the rats :( stop animal cruelty!” It’s because there were infestations of them across Europe and even having one close to you was instant death, whether you decided to kill them or not. It wasn’t the actual rats that were the problem, especially since most of *them* got infected and died from it. It was the fleas that attached to the rats and jumped onto the nearest human they could detect once the rats died. Plus this doesn’t even take into consideration that outbreaks started in Africa and Western Eurasia before it moved into Europe.
Well.. I personally don’t want a baby mouse,or a mother mouse… or any kind of mouse in my house. They are just nasty to have in a house. Sorry a starved dead mouse would of been fine with me..stay out of the houses!! In my house sorry to say a dead mouse!!

They would have been stuck to the trap. When we had mice we used the glue traps because of the baby. But we'd soap them up and get them on stuck and let them go. At first then we just took them outside and shot them with a bb gun. Now we have cat and I found there entry point. First I foamed it chewed through it in a night so then steel wool n foam and as of now no mice. They chewed through the front door. Where the porch met the house. Not the door is self but where the I think it's concrete or whatever sealer they used next to the door. It was awful. I have an irrational fear of mice and lived in terror. Never thought I'd be a woman who screamed at the sight of a mouse but somewhere along the way it happened! Hate mice in the house. But they're cute on the screen.

If you have a rat infestation humane traps usually don't work. Rats are a serious problem in a home. Property damage, disease, fire hazard, etc. I've seen them get so bad they shrug off glue traps, and avoid snap traps. I've seen them kill small pets like snakes and pet mice. If I see one in a glue trap, I kill it as humanely as possible via hammer to head. I love animals and would rather not have to kill them at all. but there's a reason they're called pests.

Dude, there are thousands of other options such as trap and release, euthanization, getting a cat, etc. When animals do need to be killed you should use the quickest and least painful manner of death. Most of you people wouldn't have the courage to kill a mouse that was right in front of you, but you're okay with subjecting a mouse to a painful and torturous death so long as you don't have to see the mouse screaming, pulling, and suffering in the throes of a painful death. You would rather do torturous things to an animal than catch it and cut off its head, because God forbid you have to actually witness the painful death that you're inflicting on an animal. I mean, if you can't even stomach to watch the torture that you're inflicting on an animal, why do you think it's okay to use a glue trap which is far more painful and torturous just so you don't have to see the consequences of your actions?

The point is, there are other ways, more “ethical” ways of taking them out. Glue traps are a slow, scary and painful way for a creature to go vs. poisoning or snap mouse traps that kill much quicker.
LOL
It’s not harsh it’s protecting the ecosystem and you and your neighbors houses

This one makes me happy…people really are learning! Maybe not the idiot that laid the trap, hopefully they’ll learn now, but watching how many people bring you mice has made me emotional…I’ve worked in animal rescue for 20 years as head of the small animal team and that includes all wildlife intakes too. You know how many times someone has brought me mice in all those years? Once!
Your posts make me realise the tide is turning, slowly but surely things are getting better! Keep up the great work, saving and educating! ❤ 🐭
Idiot that laid the trap??? How dare they effectively take away pests from their house
People need to understand to let things go, if there's a mice infestation they all need to go including the babies
But why force it into a glue trap where they are forced to starve to death? Even a trap that causes a quicker death is better than that.
@@KoshiChilloshi
I get that, but a glue trap is torture.
@@jackbassett3091 my wallet going to be stuck in a glue trap if I get those expensive ass mice traps that are only one use.
Already tried the bucket, it's good.
@@BlissOfIdeality If you actually listened to what they even said. You can just make your own damn traps.

LMAO Yesssss! I have a mouse that was munching on the wall right behind my bed and we caught that mofo after like a month or so. Mind you, that was after cleaning our ENTIRE house cause we don’t like poop and pee on our stuff. Anyway, my dad ended up taking the mouse to his job and throwing him in a dumpster with a closed lid so now he knows what it’s like to lose sleep :)

To everyone defending mouse traps: the problem really isn't trying to stop or kill the rats, the problem is this is just a really cruel way to go about it! Just kill them quickly, don't starve them to death!
Well in the country mice can get out of control so easy. I had a cat also, and he took care of the that problem. Remember that they carry disease. So remember that cats serve a purpose to all.
Уонас скоро кошки перестанут авыполнять свою прямую функцию: ловить мышей, коровы доитьсявсепойдет не по божьих заповедях

I know exactly why the plague almost took out yt folks
Lmao yeah like it didn't take out anyone else 🤣
yeah that killed like everyone
Bruh the plague happened over centuries ago where humans were much more cruel towards animals than they are now. It didn’t flourish because people were like “awww, we shouldn’t kill the rats :( stop animal cruelty!” It’s because there were infestations of them across Europe and even having one close to you was instant death, whether you decided to kill them or not. It wasn’t the actual rats that were the problem, especially since most of *them* got infected and died from it. It was the fleas that attached to the rats and jumped onto the nearest human they could detect once the rats died.
Plus this doesn’t even take into consideration that outbreaks started in Africa and Western Eurasia before it moved into Europe.
and you wonder why you’re treated the way you are
Yeah that pesky plague sure is a problem today
Ok, imma just use my hands then 😂
Well.. I personally don’t want a baby mouse,or a mother mouse… or any kind of mouse in my house. They are just nasty to have in a house. Sorry a starved dead mouse would of been fine with me..stay out of the houses!! In my house sorry to say a dead mouse!!
I have a mouse that I found stuck to a glue trap and I brought her home to rest for a day and get some food and water and she gave birth. Her babies are 12 weeks today, Pebbles junior, Leo, and Finnigan are the babies and the mom is called Ditto.
That’s so sweet and cute

TL:DR There are more humane traps out there. She didn’t say killing mice/rats was bad, she said letting them stand in one spot and starve to death is
If you have a rat infestation humane traps usually don't work.

For those who are saying it's "cute" I pray to God that you never have to deal with them in life.
The mess they are creating in my house even now is unspeakable. They're in the kitchen messing with food behind our backs, I just got out 5 dead baby mice from my closet a couple of days ago and I puked. They chewed up my clothes, little kid's toys , earphones, TV wires, inverter wires(twice) AND they have chewed up and made holes in the wooden CUPBOARD DOORS! we have to answer to our landlord about that! Imagine if he asked us to remake all the cupboards . they are running around carrying god knows what diseases . We might as well live in a closet and leave the entire house for them to make them feel comfortable. We are crying tears of frustration and anger each time they mess something.
So no. I don't think it's cute. I don't think it's cruel to get rid of it. I don't think I can reason with it. I don't want them harmed but also I don't want them around.

Glue traps are evil to everyone except humans. How fair, that us already very privileged humans are murdering animals bc theyre inconveniencing and are taking the people that we have with our privilege
There are humane mouse traps that will keep the mouse alive and will not torture it.
@@luka0376 why keep them alive? They will just multiply and cause more problems. You people really need to think straight. If you want them to live then keep them at your house
But I think it’s best to use humane traps it will keep the mouse alive and won’t hurt it
Nah they save me from getting infections from rodents😂
