Smh lol I'm only using musket because when I could choose between grenades and a shotgun or a generic shortbow for midrange you know which one I picked.
Now that I've played a little more, hell I was wroong. Nodachi is good until everyone starts playing seasonal units like stalwarts, paladins, liaos rangers, fortbraccio etc. Top 20 units in the game completely destroy nodachis, because they have either crazy defense, crazy block or crazy DPS. Fortebraccio for example kill Nodachi player in 2-3 seconds with the 'X V X V' strategy. Against blue units and below I think it would be viable, but in the meta of '3x purple / 1x orange + 2x purple' there is just no targets for nodachi and besides you will mainly struggle against the heavily armored troops no matter what weapon or unit you use, so thats why I would pick maul over nodachi even if maul got nerfed to the ground and grab was unplayable, maul would still be better than nodachi in the current meta where heavy armor and heavy units dominate.
Musket - all strength - gunpowder bomb, sweep, scatter shot and caltrops. Its great to inflict loads of damage on all enemies with the bombs and caltrops.. just that combo will easily get you kills without taking damage yourself.
Except for the longbow I agree almost with everything else. I mean even with this huge debuff I can easily still make great games with longbow just in a more support role like longs word.
You would be surprised how many melee players forget that my musket main has a short-range stun with a low cooldown. The only real problem I have are professional dual blades and shortsword players with their ability to break my stun. It's all about dem headshots when you want to dish out some nice damage.
I think sb is underrated here, it the best use for it is taking enemy heroes from full to half within 15 seconds due to low cooldowns, when you can get 3 or four enemy heroes to go heal up within a minute, you have basically secured that fight for your team. These are not things that will show up statistically or get you mvp but it does make a large difference.
As a spear guy , i love it when people try to 1v1 me . apart from the assassin, who can, on rare occasions, ult and kill me on the spot , i can stand against any other player and be pretty sure i'll come out on top , plus , the twirly whirly is always fun to do in the middle of 30 muskets before the last 2 living units kill me XD.
Short Bow might not have large damage outputs but the piercing arrow, poison arrow, and bola all together while supporting teammates can really make you dangerous for enemy heroes. Plus the bolas can two hit artillery XD
7:45 you missed a key element of the class. Shortbow gains armor pen on evading for 5 secs, up to 3 stacks. This will grant the damage that you seemed to lack when getting footage for the video. The difference this makes is going from 500-800 damage a hit to about 2.5k-3k at close to mid range. Other notes of the weapon is that it has two ranged CCs (Bola and stun shot) that can confirm really well for slower firing units like Javs. Steel Tipped arrow is a 30% reduction in all damage compared to Bodkin's reduction to only slashing. And Rolling Escape has to be the greatest evasive move in the game with good invul frames, a speed buff of 3 secs and only a 5 sec cool down giving it only a 2 sec down time. Lastly some notes on Bow that might help some players. While I stopped actively playing and moved to Musket and shortbow, i did notice some changes you can make when I revisit the weapon. For instance the Marksman buff is VERY impactful since it doesnt use stamina and can buff your attacks for more damage. For instance this difference is enough to make your explosive arrow kill a stack of archers like before and will start regening stamina.
I will have to try that on shortbow, I'm definitely still learning that class. It's hard for me because I just don't find the class very fun to play to begin with. For bow, that's an interesting suggestion to adapt to the new build, it might make up for a little bit, but even so they nerfed so much of the class its just boring IMO. It was already hard to kill heavily armored hero's before and now it's impossible so all you can do is pick off archers all game. Good luck stopping any infantry pushes which is the real game deciding factor
@@killer_luck @killer luck The CC from explosive shot can help stop any charge. Fire arrow can disrupt players getting away. bodkin isnt great since its only slashing defense. Its why i recommend marksman since it will get you about 2-3 shots of boosted damage It has that niche sniper role but the weapon has seen better days. one change i would like is that you can hold arrows with no Stam. It still leaves you in trouble if caught but would make it more enjoyable to play.
@@Krystalchan2009 What's your discord? You seem pretty Knowledgeable, I play SB, and Spear but I'd love to have you around for Bow Questions/Mastering the game. Mine is RyuBlaze#9444
For me personally nodachi is the king of the front line push. With 30% lifesteal and some quick cooldowns I can really push the enemy line back every couple of seconds which will break it in no time.. Really helpful when stalwartz or something like that is formed up and I can break that formation for opening to get pike and other allies behind the shield. This also comes with a damage trade off as you WILL be taking damage from that 99.9% of the time but with 30% lifesteal you just suck that back up. But you are playing that fine line of life and death even with full health you need to keep an eye out for certain classes that can ruin your push. This class is especially good for punishing those who like to dive units.. blood is the price.👹
This man is absolutely right, use poke skill then tigerclaw and rush your swords into the shattered frontline defence. That combo can break frontline defence units like butter except braced troops.
found this video really helpful. honestly i Just started playing this game and picked long sword because i thought if looked cool but i havent really had much success with it. now i know why thank you
Just started CB, it's strange that people can't understand the potential of sword&shield, it plays just as i thought, and was my second choice, but always loved poleaxe since i was a kid, chose it immediately, plays just like you said and luckily it suits my style perfectly, i was using it as you said right from the start, results were delivered when matchmaking isn't a b*tch, i LOVE to smash out of position enemies, plus the crowd control allow me to support allies well, managed to save various musket and bow users, but damn the disparity between starting gear and well equipped guys is abyssal, always get one-shotted each time i meet a high-tier guy. Overall, Poleaxe has always been my fave weapon, both in my HEMA practice and in games, will have to give a try to other weapons as well sooner or later, for now, poleaxe addiction is too high.
i Think The Best Weapon in Game is Either The Shock-Troop Load-Out or The Assassin Load-Out, With Skinny-Armed Medic-Knight Coming in 2nd Place & Spear in 3rd. i Mostly Focus on Killing Other Hero's But Main a Shock-Troop Load-Out A.K.A. Short-Sword & Shield.
Spears horse attack can be used to get you around quicker, in and out of trouble, and it has a decent ranged attack that can help cracking shield walls. This gives it a tad more flexibility than the glaive I feel
in 100+ Dual Blade must learn how to be sneaky and kill healing enemy. The must have IMO is the bomb (stop charge, ranged AOE stun, +20% damage taken, can save a friend from a maul grab) And the secondary line ULT, to lock enemy under hight damage until your inf hit him (first ULT is only good in expedition to dps a bit more against peon, don't spend point in)
Pretty accurate list, good job. The sub and post lvl 100 lists are fairly accurate either, dont be to harsh to the bow though, the hero snipe potential is still there on higher distances.
I mained spear first. Loved it but decided I wanted to try out being a tank and switched to shortsword and poleaxe which are both great. Then fell inlove with longbow as its super fun to play and now I'm maining musket. What I've learned is ALL classes are effective it's just about what you enjoy. Playing something you don't find fun because you've heard it's op isn't good. Spear was prob my all time favourite though
They play it, then get lvl 2000 and realiced it is a shit for Territory War on high lvl, then change to short sword, pole axe or maul and they have to learn from 0 to use a weapon
@@niconilo97 Moslty of long sword switch weapon when they get high lvl becouse they see they can´t do much on Territory War on high levels game, they are not tanks, they are healers and supports ¬¬ Only a few good long sword players keep playing it, they are not meta on TW and tournaments
I am currently playing both glaive and poleaxe. I am equally skilled at both and enjoy both. Glaive is better for units and poleaxe is better for heros(if you can nail the stun lock).
I use shortbow and I kill almost anyone 1v1 (count Assassin out, I might as well fight against a trebuchet strike). You just need to learn how to ditch. Also, having two distance stuns give you incredible support possibilities like catching enemies who flee.
Spear is the most op class.Put 2 light armor and 2 medium armor parts,Make a good spear with high armor pen and dmg,and some agility, and u will become the most op player in a match.Always try to use your Q from horse is the most op cc ability on this game with low cooldown,u can also escspe with your E from horse.A good combo is Q from horse and then your spinning ultimate. If u do this u will always get S and mvp.In 10 games i got around 7 kills/1 death/8 assists and 80+ troops kill
@@king.kthebest6158 doesn't really matter if you're using a bow you shouldn't be in a position to get attacked.. i've only been playing the game a few days but it seems common sense to have the long range weapon at the rear or on a flank with allied troops as a buffer between your target and yourself.. 🤷🏻♂ I've been having good fun with it on the flanks admittedly all my battles are low rank < lvl 30ish so i'm still going against stupid people, but i figure if i have all the enemy heroes chasing me because im a bow and i can take them away from the action, my team get on the obj and win while they are distracted lol. might not be getting amazing kills, but a win is a win.
@@Twizted86 I don’t hunk u understand what I mean, yes how’s should be in the back, buts what’s fun is being up close with your teamates contributing and with the massive need they added, it’s now almost impossible bcs after a few shots you are out of stamina.
As a main spear, i think spear should be S tier in this list in 100+ level. If you build spear more armor peneration than piercing damage, it's a OP class, you can make very high damage in a short time like an assassin
I disagree with the tierlist for 100+. Glaive should not be in there: it should not be in there because it deals too little armor piercing damage, rendering you very useless on frontline battles. Also the glory moments of diving the rear line and slaughtering a whole unit of archers isn't possible anymore because on 100+ people will protect their ranged units. Also, high tier ranged units have loads of armor piercing damage and they will shred you if you try to dive them. It is niched in that it can have its uses in field battles if you run with cavalry, but other than that it falls behind poleaxe or longsword
in TW it's usefull to have one or two glaive to apply the dmg boost, aoe stun and aoe dmg increase in a push to help push a enemy formation same for poleaxe res réduction and 40% dmg reduction on the enemy bunker but both these classes need a shortsword to run in and flat the enemy formation in first, other wise they would die way too quickly
Sure, dual blades can damage only one player at a time, but they are also effective when used alongside a powerful unit, but this is still a really good tier list
I agree with you! I see a lot of people complaining about nodachi ranking C, but it is the worst melee weapon in the game. Nodachi is only good at dealing with low/mid tier units, and have a high skill cap compared to other weapons!
I am actually a level 28 nodachi main and the skill cap is really not that low, I find nodachi insanely useful with the right skills such as blood oath, tigers claw, and bloodthirsty. It sets up for a loop of tons of damage and healing, and it relies on 1 thing, landing bloodthirsty to stun the enemy and let all helll loose with the rest of your abilities.
Nodachi is good, if the player is really good, can constantly destroy shield walls, good at duelling and good at constantly CCing and baiting (going from almost 0 hp to full). 9/10 nodachis are trash, but that one that sometimes spawns on the battlefield from the fiery pits of hell itself, cuts down anything in his path, mows down entire squads of rahmkan archers without dying, simply singlehandedly carries entire games by himself do show up once in a blue moon, as well. A true terror to behold on the battlefield, and pray to the gods that one guy is on your team...
@@ghosteiy9905 Dude if you are just at lvl 28 you have to play waay more to make up your mind. You cannot seriously talk about how good or bad a weapon is with such little experience and general understanding of the game xD.
I’m still pretty early into the game but I gotta say the bow slaps if you come from aim heavy games like valorant for me. I have gone so many games with an archer or arbalist unit that can bring even a short sword player down in 2-3 Volleys as well as your abilities since they tend to overextend outside of their units. Now I use the grenades from the new musket unit (forgot their name) as a stun for close range to get spacing. But I’m pretty useless without a duo since I have 0 defense. Regardless good tier list
fun fact as a longbow player: even long bow getting nerf every season, people still crying and thinking about 90% longbow players using hack just because they are too good on aiming.
which one and why? my gripe with spear is that it has nothing to break shield walls, yes its good for killing heroes or finishing them off, but why do you find the ult so good?
@@duckiesae to be honest, most ults either break shield, do a huge amount of AoE, and the spear one does just that, damage and a bit of movement. Sure its nice, but what ulti isnt? Except for the nodachi one i cant really say the ult does alot of damage or is super usefull. In comparison i mean... But yeah spear is pretty cool.
@@duckiesae emm nope, there are far better ults against groups of enemy troops. Spear ult is only great against heroes and should pretty much never be used against units. Not a flexible ultimate, as i said is meant to destroy heroes or even used as an escape. "Best ulti in the game" Statement is faar off. It's just a great ult for assassination purposes and nothing else. Gets overshadowed by most other ults in terms of control, disruption, flexibility, AOE dmg etc. Not saying it's bad, just specialiced one and not the best at anything other than it's main purpose.
Unpopular Opinion: You don't give Shortbow enough credit because you're judging it based on its damage output when that clearly isn't its purpose. It has two stuns and a strong Defense debuff. You should probably actually try it before you judge it. By "actually try it", I mean actually unlock and use the skills it offers that are worth using instead of just equipping it as is and then immediately giving up on it.
As a main Shortsword, and already tried all of them, for me SS is the best and most complete! Yes Poleaxe and DB can beat him just because of Ulti yet it is possible to win tough, but can they fight better with units than SS?(No). The others i don't feel they can touch shortsword as those before... As my play style tends to be agressive, i like the high defence of SS. Poleaxe very good 1v1 but very slow atack( not my style...) DB lacks of damage in units, you either kill the hero or run you just a "observator". Spear might be fun but you can only kill heros well.. Glaive i'm starting to getting some fun with it, but hard to 1v1... The ranged classes for me are boring, don't like staying behind all time, yet SB and Musket are really nice 1v1 and with skill might do a good pvp, but with the "confusion" by the units sometimes is just too much... Nodachi feels like you get beaten by everyone, i needed to get the timing to enter the battle so i get good kills...And finally Maul, never got too much of it, a good maul tends to get good damage vs units and 1v1, yet 1v1 loses to SS, Pole, DB, it is just too slow.. Just sharing my experience from all weps.. :)
Maul - "Possibly the most contentious weopon" - It's trash, significantly because the devs know the community complains about it and does nothing, let alone it's trash carry and OP unit killing, and OP tankiness. Short sword is annoying, but at least makes sense.
I average 7 hero kills per match with nerfed longbow. In clutch I support my melee players with much needed harrass and random 5000 headshot dmg that scares people away. Its shit that I need to stand and chill while I reg my stamina but if they buff the bow it will be insane.
for me the spear is my all time fav class, since in combo with your horse you can basically oneshot hero after hero like a assassin, while still having the medium armor and at least medium aoe unit damage abilities + the spear is sooo fast in comparison to its heavy class brothers that you can interrupt and escape many attacks by enemy heroes
Ngl, I'm glad the longbow was nerfed. They were very very OP making it so that you couldn't play any ranged class. They nerfed it a bit hard but i don't see how they could've done it better. Also maul needed the nerf back then but now I still is great against everything. They should make more stuff that counters Maul.
Tiers are spot on except shortsword and glaive icons should overflow on the top of the screen xD The state of nodachi is sad. I like it stylistically but glaive that plays kind of the same has way more going for it.
C for Nodachi? haha I started playing nodachi this season as a 900+ player and let me tell you, is one of the most fun and versatile classes I've played, its the most balances class IMO with good direct damage, CC and unit damage, they lack in defense but if you know what you are doing it shouldn't be a mayor issue and I have seen house mates in TW destroying ppl left and right with it.
I can see it being a bit better in certain situations like protecting walls where it usually is only a couple of hero's to deal with, but in the most important times in TW or siege where it's 5+ hero's and big infantry pushes it just lacks any real game changing abilities, and dies incredibly fast, so that's why I think it's so outclassed. Even for just dueling though classes like DB which are similar perform better because at least they have hard CC to guarantee the important hero kills. But then you also have poleaxe which does the same thing as both but can also be useful in big infantry pushes.
@@johngarcia9039 Thing is the game isn't about duelling... Reason why DB is a shit weapon in siege/ field / TW: YOU CAN'T EVEN KILL A WOODCUTTER SQUAD.. even more since stealth skill invincibility nerf, you just take every single damage and you're a free target for everyone.
@@TauntMeImFamous you can kill units fast if the only single-target ability you are using is the mark of death. If you are using another ulti, you can kill enemy units even faster
Me, a person with above average knowledge of medieval combat and weapons. "Well obviously you would want to go with the Poleaxe, the blade is great for cutting down peasants and drafted fodder, while the blunt end is great for caving in those elite heavy infantry. The length also makes it great for Calvary, place the end into the ground and stand firm at the enemy well you will skewer them, though this style is best combined with heavy armor to make up for the lack of defense. If you are on more of a budget then the Spear is also a good choice, cheap to make, easy to use, its pretty much a diet Poleaxe, or is the Poleaxe a spear on steroids? Sadly it seems you can't go with the classic spear and shield combo but a sword and shield is pretty good, even a perfect counter to the spear and Poleaxe as it makes it easier to get past the range of the spear allowing you to dispatch your enemy while they desperately try to either increase the distance between you two or get cut down. You could also make a decent argument for the Glaive but since it is shorter then the spear and not as versatile as the Poleaxe I can't recommend it over either of them The Mual, well it is good at what it does and it smashes heavy armored enemies, if your going into battle and you know your going to fight a crap ton of knights, you grab the maul. However if your fighting more lightly armored enemies then you need to be very carful as a single bad swing could spell your doom against someone with a faster weapon, compensate with heavy armor. Yet with that said the Poleaxe still seems like the superior option. Now another prime to choices when it comes to long range we have a lot of good options, the shortbow, longbow, and musket are all quite interesting and hard to really nail down. Range wise the Longbow would be the best option, with the short bow taking fire rate and the Musket dominating in power. With that said the shortbow is probably the first one to go as you won't need to be heavily armored to shrug off its shots, a shield is all you would need to damn near negate it. That leaves us with the Musket and Longbow, now I won't go into why the Musket took over do to it requiring less training and in many ways being cheaper to make along with the Ammo. We are looking at the pure effectiveness of the enemy and really it depends on what you are fight. Heavily armored enemies with a decent shield will be pretty tough for the long bow to deal with compared to the musket which more often could tear through them, yet if your facing many fast moving lightly enemies then the long bow with its faster fire rate and long range would be the way to go. I could see someone going with either option when heading to battle. Really the two you want to stay clear of is the Nodachi and Duel blades. Listen guys, I love me some anime but the European Longsword is the overall better design but even if it wasn't using a great sword is overall inferior to practically every other weapon on this list, it lacks range, power, defense and speed when compared to the other options you have at your disposal and it might squeeze out over some, like having more speed then the maul or more power then the spear, but it sacrifices so much in the other three categories. The duel blades are even worse and unless your fighting a lot of unarmed and unarmored enemies, don't go with it as similar to the Nodatchi it will usually be bested by all other weapons in three of the four categories. Range, power, and defense, though to be fair it will be fast. Alright with all of that squared away lets see the results!!! ...................... God dammit, at least its more accurate after level 100
if you want to be competitve for territory wars id go short sword. Glaive is fun and good in T wars and normal sieges. Slightly less competitive, but still very good and fun. Poleaxe is good in normal sieges, not really territory wars, but godlike CC
If you mean what stats should you go for then it's simple just full armour. And for abilities in my opinion heal(mercy of heaven) is must have everything else is optional
Any tips for new maul players? Armour, Stats, Attributes? I just unlocked the paragons, and moving through quests. Was playing nodachi, have a good leadership med armor.
Imo Hammer is the Best weapon in game. You have something for every Situation, both ults are fantastic. Get used to staminamanagement, good positioning (imo one of the few negatives Hammer has. If u out of position u are most likely dead), and learn mechanics of enemy heroes and troops that work in ur favor and those to avoid (for fighting against and throwing ppl into them e.g. dont throw enemies you grabbed into Archers). Last but not least be patient! Unlock all skills to lvl 3. And then get the grabby grabby ult. (Edit: b4 u decide Hammer is not for u I mean...) Until then you might die a lot during leveling up... GL!
Oh i also use mainly Poleaxe, shortsword, Maul, and glaive. I startet the Game with the longbow, after that i played musket and nodachi for a long time. I tried shortbow, dual blades, loangsword and spear but thats nothing for me 😄
@@rickridger4155 just unlock the class for 50 weaponpoints or something and buy or craft another weapon. You need to Change the armor too, for some weapons.
OMG YESS im a die hard bow main and i was so godly before the nerf. I hadnt played for a while and i came back after the nerf had occured and i was dumbfounded at what they had done to my bow, the stamina is utter bullshit and though bow main is so fun, i have to switch now unfortunately and i really dont know what to switch to. I mean i have the maul unlocked but ive never played it, should i play it?
Personal opinion: Rank up shortbow, the dps on that weapon is quite high but more like a SMG weapon, it's not like you're gonna see big numbers, but dude, you do really tons of damage completely safe and hidden in between units. If found out killing way more heroes with short bow than any other weapon, plus is a really good duelist running 2 stuns, plus you never die. Rank up nodachi, we can agree the ultimate are the worst of them others all, but the other skills are quite strong and it's an underrated weapon that i find out people do think about you being an easy target and after that being killed even in a 2vs1 or 3vs1. if you know how to avoid big bursts, you're wrecking people. Rank up Poleaxe, the amount of CC, the aoe damage, the grabbing ultimate and just having armour makes that weapon to fit perfectly with that frontline role, punishing overextending heroes. Rank up musket, that weapon in a medium to short range its a nightmare of damage, CC and survability. Just good hands, keeping people in range and it's a tank demolisher. Rank down longsword, the utility he has makes their units to survive in long phased battles, but mostly of the time, it's one entrance and done, where you have not enough damage to fight, the healing its not enough to paliate the burst and the speed is only useful with shocking units. Rank down Glaive, just cause the others are better holding a frontline plus pushing. And last, in my opinion you're choosing pve ultimates in your weapons, which are useless having another hero in front that can CC you or just run away from you, while with the others you're usually CCing the enemies heroes and units for an easy charge or a good chance to push in.
I think all your comments are fair, don't agree with all of them though as anything that's related to dueling, I don't rank high in general as the success in TW or high level sieges is usually dependent on big infantry pushes with many heros so those classes are automatically less useful just because the way the games meta plays out. What do you mean by pve abilities? I think aside from my least played classes (DB, spear, SB) I am using abilities focused mainly on pushing and what are generally considered the best abilities by most people
@@killer_luck Yeah, i meant the full damage ultimates or skills, as Spear and Nodachi. Spear is more about comboing with horse and the tornado ultimate, destroying heroes even in between units, and Nodachi's ultimate its usefull to open shields, or dueling if you use it inmediatelly after a well landed piercing hit or anothers hero CC. I though Glaive was also full PvE, didn't realized it was not.
Short bow is actually the best class, I will explain. This game is about staying alive with your hero while being as impactful as possible. I have played just about every class as well. I have 2 accounts, 1 on NA level 400+ and now on SA just hitting 200. The most survivable classes are the best, short sword, and heavy classes, you even pointed out in your list. (but short bow out survives all classes, because of its roll skill on 5 seconds cd that breaks cc, and even ultis) Glaive can kill units, but Maul does it better, maul also kills heroes better than any other melee. As long as maul is in the game right now, no melee is better than maul, plain and simple. This is why I switched to short bow. It counters maul. Do not even use the ult, run Stun shot, Bola, Escape and steel tip. that is all you should ever run. dont try and CC maul when they use their Charge skill. dont try and cc when heroes flash red. use your horse as much as possible, gives you survivability, and height lets you hit head shots over troops, arrows curve down . Dual blades is your enemy. Stay on horse if one is around he cant ult you. cc and get on horse, on foot they have huge odds on winning , they are more mobile than you, even with your escape.
I haven't used short bow enough to know how good it could be, I really don't like the weapon. but in general the game actually isn't about just survivability at the high levels, it's much more about coordinated big pushes and how useful you are in the short periods of time when you do those pushes. At lower levels yes I can see shortbow being pretty good
@@killer_luck a bit late to the party but shortbow in the hands of a accurate player is quite capable of stunning and disrupting heroes from a large distance which can help people like dual blades or other melee chonkers to secure kills, you also have good access to poison to keep people from healing. you need to keep high piercing pen through equipment or skills to deal good damage vs Armor stackers like yourself, a pen value of around 2.5k isn't that bad esp since the class can delete 30% of someones defense value as well and you get 5% extra pen that stacks up to 3 times by rolling.the rolling escape gives straight up invuln frames while have a 6 second cooldown. so you can stay a bit exposed saftely and the best place for a shortbow to be is near the melee honestly to help kill people who try to CC nearby and in that respect you can really fuck up poleaxe, maul and nodachi players respectively. both the shield varients make your life pain since you can't stop them easily but you can still headshot them even when they are blocking. it's a hard class yeah esp since it needs to stay so close to the melee and you need to keep good track of players and get clear line of sights while accounting for the different drop values for your different abilities(steel arrows for example drop faster then stunning shot) but there is a lot of potential to be a pain if you coordinate with your team and setup ranged stuns into allied ults to create these HP nuke scenario's that would be very difficult to manage otherwise because the radius of threat you create. i'm personally lower ranked but i do feel like the longer a match goes i start conditioning players more and more to stay inside shieldwalls and they start playing much more conservatively and lowering their overall impact on the match.... and well if they don't respect me at all i have ended up with 8-11 hero kills in a match regularly killing runners or stunning people who try to CC my units
How do you solve the problem of changing attribute Points at changing the playstyle? I mean i love it to play different weapons, but every one needs other stats. Do you buy tons of Bibliographies or do you just skill everything same high?
I get all the personal histories every season but aside from the video I rarely switch builds, before this I pretty much ran full armor all the time, which works well for a lot of weapons and in territory wars
@@killer_luck ah, yes surviving is very very important. My problem is, i most like Bow and short sword (and maybe spear) and i dont know how much dmg i would lose if i play bow on full armor. For every melee weapon would full armor be very nice i think.
Nah its not up to date so I'll update you (I'm level 1200). Shortbow and glaive are still top tier. Short bow, musket and duel blades should be a tier as they're great. Sb could be S. Maul still s tier and nodachi sucks. Longsword is c or d tier. Play what is fun, enjoying a class will make you play better than playing a class you don't like because it's op.
lol you said the short bow cant kill heavy armored units. youre playing it wrong dude. most people underestimates shortbow until they are on the ground eating arrows. why would you take your time killing armored units while you can just kill the enemy hero right?
Nodachi is for medium armour & longsword is for the heavy armour.. u can't use nodachi with heavy armour.. but u can use longsword with medium armour or lightarmour
overall a good video, but do you know blunt damage is or at least, was supposed to be the kind of true damage for the game? (taking this term from league of legends) true damage is meant to be a damage source you cant build against, a lot of weapon classes have abilities with blunt damage as an extra, having a class which is literal, dealing only unblockable damage, is straight up unfair, no matter how tanky you are the maul will always take you down in the same time i dont even care about the grab, or about the maul just breaking up shields all the time im annoyed by the fact how everyone is almost forced to put anti blunt doctrines on all melee units, just so we all can hope to stop the maul before slaying all of them and alone the fact how everyone started to use anti blunt doctrines in season 3 (when maul came out) means the weapon has more impact than it should have and lastly the average amount of mauls per match is on like almost 30% (if all weapons would be playd similarly often it should be around 9%) and yes everygame has some more liked classes/heroes/weapons etc, but rising up to 3 times as much as the average i know, longbow is annying to play, against and so is shortsword and dual blade but what the hell is it that makes it okey to say "yeah maul shoul be able to kill 32 spearsergants in 15 seconds, and win almost every 1v1 in a straight matchup" long bow can kill 10 namkahn archers in 20 seconds without going to close????? NEEERF THATS NOT FAIR
you can unlock them at any time once you have 100 skill points from the weapons page. You get these from rewards or just from playing with your current weapon. Other than that, you just need to craft the type of weapon you want
collect the armor and weapons in your inventory - like if you currently are Sbow with light armor, keep a set of medium or heavy in your inventory, along with the weapon that requires it. And like killer luck said, you have skill points and mastery points - skill points add up during play (with any weapon), and you use those to unlock other weapons (mastery points apply specifically to the weapon they were earned with, but I believe you can spend silver +/or sovereigns to change mastery points into skill points).
You just need unlock the new weapon skill tree with 100 skill points first and craft the weapon you want, then just equip the weapon from your Inventory, making sure your armor class matches

Spear deserves S tier considering the tops houses will pull out 15 spears in TW
true, Nodachi on S is also wrong
it depends, both are strong as S tier, spear can actually one shot with horse, while nodachi with quick cd and vamp
@@tgbbegttg5018 it's not wrong. I'm seeing Nodachi players end as top 1-3 all the time with 1,5M hero-to-unit damage.
In the tw Sieges i See the top Houses bringing 10+ Short sword
I was a bowman until I took an arrow on my knee and started to losing stamina

Rip us longbow mains ig we were too annoying :(
Sounds like a novel title.
These are not things that will show up statistically or get you mvp but it does make a large difference.
good info for new players, thx bro.
i love the shortbow, i think you would really grow to love it
As a spear guy , i love it when people try to 1v1 me . apart from the assassin, who can, on rare occasions, ult and kill me on the spot , i can stand against any other player and be pretty sure i'll come out on top , plus , the twirly whirly is always fun to do in the middle of 30 muskets before the last 2 living units kill me XD.
Its why i recommend marksman since it will get you about 2-3 shots of boosted damage
It has that niche sniper role but the weapon has seen better days. one change i would like is that you can hold arrows with no Stam. It still leaves you in trouble if caught but would make it more enjoyable to play.

Thanks man that was pretty much the video i needed even tho it might be outdated but gives you a bit of a idea!
found this video really helpful. honestly i Just started playing this game and picked long sword because i thought if looked cool but i havent really had much success with it. now i know why thank you
Just started CB, it's strange that people can't understand the potential of sword&shield, it plays just as i thought, and was my second choice, but always loved poleaxe since i was a kid, chose it immediately, plays just like you said and luckily it suits my style perfectly, i was using it as you said right from the start, results were delivered when matchmaking isn't a b*tch, i LOVE to smash out of position enemies, plus the crowd control allow me to support allies well, managed to save various musket and bow users, but damn the disparity between starting gear and well equipped guys is abyssal, always get one-shotted each time i meet a high-tier guy.
Overall, Poleaxe has always been my fave weapon, both in my HEMA practice and in games, will have to give a try to other weapons as well sooner or later, for now, poleaxe addiction is too high.
i Think The Best Weapon in Game is Either The Shock-Troop Load-Out or The Assassin Load-Out,
With Skinny-Armed Medic-Knight Coming in 2nd Place & Spear in 3rd.
i Mostly Focus on Killing Other Hero's But Main a Shock-Troop Load-Out
A.K.A. Short-Sword & Shield.
Well done, nice video!
Spears horse attack can be used to get you around quicker, in and out of trouble, and it has a decent ranged attack that can help cracking shield walls. This gives it a tad more flexibility than the glaive I feel
in 100+ Dual Blade must learn how to be sneaky and kill healing enemy.
The must have IMO is the bomb (stop charge, ranged AOE stun, +20% damage taken, can save a friend from a maul grab)
And the secondary line ULT, to lock enemy under hight damage until your inf hit him
(first ULT is only good in expedition to dps a bit more against peon, don't spend point in)
Pretty accurate list, good job. The sub and post lvl 100 lists are fairly accurate either, dont be to harsh to the bow though, the hero snipe potential is still there on higher distances.

I use shortbow and I kill almost anyone 1v1 (count Assassin out, I might as well fight against a trebuchet strike). You just need to learn how to ditch. Also, having two distance stuns give you incredible support possibilities like catching enemies who flee.

As a main spear, i think spear should be S tier in this list in 100+ level. If you build spear more armor peneration than piercing damage, it's a OP class, you can make very high damage in a short time like an assassin
Skip to the last segment to save time, it has his ideal chart for weapons to use under level 100, and then another for over 100 and Territory Wars.
It actually does some blunt dmg with the armor break ability and I think flying reaper too, so does pretty decent damage
in TW it's usefull to have one or two glaive to apply the dmg boost, aoe stun and aoe dmg increase in a push to help push a enemy formation
same for poleaxe res réduction and 40% dmg reduction on the enemy bunker
but both these classes need a shortsword to run in and flat the enemy formation in first, other wise they would die way too quickly
Longbows doesnt need to be in the front lines. The only time you need to be infront is to select a target for your archer units.
Wish my teammates were this organized and helpful :P
I will add though is that i do not do territory wars so it might just be me biased, heh.

I want to try bow but I dont know which is better: shortbow or long bow?
longbow
As a spear main, its good seeing the class get the love it deserves, best ultimate in the game by far.
which one and why? my gripe with spear is that it has nothing to break shield walls, yes its good for killing heroes or finishing them off, but why do you find the ult so good?
@@kevinpincket8085 The dragon roar one, has decent range and is really useful against multiple enemies

I now know what weapon I should use in Conqueror's Blade!
You need to play in order to see which one you like. I use almost all of them but now my favourite is dual blade
im new player, and im using pokey stick... u forgot to mention horse charge and stun... its so good
Maul - "Possibly the most contentious weopon" - It's trash, significantly because the devs know the community complains about it and does nothing, let alone it's trash carry and OP unit killing, and OP tankiness.
Maul, short sword and pole axe are my main weapons. You can do so much with them. Used to be a longbow main player but ohwell 🤷♂️
for me the spear is my all time fav class, since in combo with your horse you can basically oneshot hero after hero like a assassin, while still having the medium armor and at least medium aoe unit damage abilities + the spear is sooo fast in comparison to its heavy class brothers that you can interrupt and escape many attacks by enemy heroes
Yes, I fully agree with this
Im a poleaxe main but im im going to try others now that i know all this thanks
Ngl, I'm glad the longbow was nerfed. They were very very OP making it so that you couldn't play any ranged class. They nerfed it a bit hard but i don't see how they could've done it better.
But then you also have poleaxe which does the same thing as both but can also be useful in big infantry pushes.
useless class no one use this class at conqueror's blade tournament

You could also make a decent argument for the Glaive but since it is shorter then the spear and not as versatile as the Poleaxe I can't recommend it over either of them
The Mual, well it is good at what it does and it smashes heavy armored enemies, if your going into battle and you know your going to fight a crap ton of knights, you grab the maul.

If you mean what stats should you go for then it's simple just full armour. And for abilities in my opinion heal(mercy of heaven) is must have everything else is optional
@@jankomitrovic9642 Ok but when I go for heal isnt it better to have more basic HP then? So shouldn't I go for toughness? Maybe 50/50 HP and Armor?
That's a good point but toughness is currently very usseles and not worth going for. For the tank builds full armour is only viable option
@@jankomitrovic9642 thanks for clearing that out. cheers mate. Hvala :)
Nista uvek Sam tu da pomognem😁
could you tell me what is armor or outfit you wear in this video???
Is the Longbow still D TIer
thx for help
Any tips for new maul players? Armour, Stats, Attributes? I just unlocked the paragons, and moving through quests. Was playing nodachi, have a good leadership med armor.
I think full armor is the way to go for maul, you do plenty of damage regardless. might mjollnir into bonebreaker combo is op
(Edit: b4 u decide Hammer is not for u I mean...)
Until then you might die a lot during leveling up...
OMG THANKS SO MUCH I JUST STARTED THE GAME
My goal... in this game is... to master the "that long sword" No matter what!
Which is better : maul or glaiv? Now I use long sword but I want to try new weapon :)
Or maybe spear ?
OMG YESS im a die hard bow main and i was so godly before the nerf. I hadnt played for a while and i came back after the nerf had occured and i was dumbfounded at what they had done to my bow, the stamina is utter bullshit and though bow main is so fun, i have to switch now unfortunately and i really dont know what to switch to. I mean i have the maul unlocked but ive never played it, should i play it?
Yea maul is def a bit op right now, shorts word, glaive, and spear are great too
@@killer_luck ok thanks, so do they just wear light armour such as long bows?
@@killer_luck i chose dual blades lol
thanks!
I am entirely front line guy. So I only play with poleaxe and maul.
Personal opinion:
Rank up shortbow, the dps on that weapon is quite high but more like a SMG weapon, it's not like you're gonna see big numbers, but dude, you do really tons of damage completely safe and hidden in between units.
Didnmauo ever get nerfed?
meanwhile me doing heavy dmg with longsword: Oh...
i mainly play maul and no season 5 nerf so far!
At lower levels yes I can see shortbow being pretty good
@@killer_luck a bit late to the party but shortbow in the hands of a accurate player is quite capable of stunning and disrupting heroes from a large distance which can help people like dual blades or other melee chonkers to secure kills, you also have good access to poison to keep people from healing. you need to keep high piercing pen through equipment or skills to deal good damage vs Armor stackers like yourself, a pen value of around 2.5k isn't that bad esp since the class can delete 30% of someones defense value as well and you get 5% extra pen that stacks up to 3 times by rolling.the rolling escape gives straight up invuln frames while have a 6 second cooldown. so you can stay a bit exposed saftely and the best place for a shortbow to be is near the melee honestly to help kill people who try to CC nearby and in that respect you can really fuck up poleaxe, maul and nodachi players respectively. both the shield varients make your life pain since you can't stop them easily but you can still headshot them even when they are blocking.
it's a hard class yeah esp since it needs to stay so close to the melee and you need to keep good track of players and get clear line of sights while accounting for the different drop values for your different abilities(steel arrows for example drop faster then stunning shot) but there is a lot of potential to be a pain if you coordinate with your team and setup ranged stuns into allied ults to create these HP nuke scenario's that would be very difficult to manage otherwise because the radius of threat you create.
i'm personally lower ranked but i do feel like the longer a match goes i start conditioning players more and more to stay inside shieldwalls and they start playing much more conservatively and lowering their overall impact on the match.... and well if they don't respect me at all i have ended up with 8-11 hero kills in a match regularly killing runners or stunning people who try to CC my units
is the maul not available anymore? i started today and dont see it as an option, do i need to unlock it later?
It's still there, have to unlock from season challenge
@@killer_luck how much armor yoi have on heavy class? Its good to have 800 armor and 2,3k blunt demage? Or 1000k armor and 2k blunt dmg?
Still up to date? Can we get another one?
Nah its not up to date so I'll update you (I'm level 1200). Shortbow and glaive are still top tier. Short bow, musket and duel blades should be a tier as they're great. Sb could be S. Maul still s tier and nodachi sucks.
Longsword is c or d tier.
Play what is fun, enjoying a class will make you play better than playing a class you don't like because it's op.
Short sword and glaive, sorry typo
Not up to date, planning on making season 20 one soon
march 2021, still waiting for that maul nerf :D
lol you said the short bow cant kill heavy armored units. youre playing it wrong dude. most people underestimates shortbow until they are on the ground eating arrows. why would you take your time killing armored units while you can just kill the enemy hero right?
Thx bc I love the bow im just so disappointed they don't fix it 😔 and that stupied stun lock 😒 really 😑 but will they fix it .......nope 🙅🏻
how i equip other thing like im nodachi and i want to go longsword ?
just need to spend 100 skill points to unlock the new weapon, then craft a longsword
Nodachi is for medium armour & longsword is for the heavy armour.. u can't use nodachi with heavy armour.. but u can use longsword with medium armour or lightarmour
Spear is no.1!!
overall a good video, but do you know blunt damage is or at least, was supposed to be the kind of true damage for the game?
(taking this term from league of legends)
true damage is meant to be a damage source you cant build against, a lot of weapon classes have abilities with blunt damage as an extra, having a class which is literal, dealing only unblockable damage, is straight up unfair, no matter how tanky you are the maul will always take you down in the same time
i dont even care about the grab, or about the maul just breaking up shields all the time
im annoyed by the fact how everyone is almost forced to put anti blunt doctrines on all melee units, just so we all can hope to stop the maul before slaying all of them
and alone the fact how everyone started to use anti blunt doctrines in season 3 (when maul came out) means the weapon has more impact than it should have
and lastly
the average amount of mauls per match is on like almost 30%
(if all weapons would be playd similarly often it should be around 9%)
and yes everygame has some more liked classes/heroes/weapons etc, but rising up to 3 times as much as the average
i know, longbow is annying to play, against and so is shortsword and dual blade
but what the hell is it that makes it okey to say "yeah maul shoul be able to kill 32 spearsergants in 15 seconds, and win almost every 1v1 in a straight matchup"
long bow can kill 10 namkahn archers in 20 seconds without going to close????? NEEERF THATS NOT FAIR
how can i unlock other weapons? i am lvl 27
you can unlock them at any time once you have 100 skill points from the weapons page. You get these from rewards or just from playing with your current weapon. Other than that, you just need to craft the type of weapon you want
collect the armor and weapons in your inventory - like if you currently are Sbow with light armor, keep a set of medium or heavy in your inventory, along with the weapon that requires it.
And like killer luck said, you have skill points and mastery points - skill points add up during play (with any weapon), and you use those to unlock other weapons (mastery points apply specifically to the weapon they were earned with, but I believe you can spend silver +/or sovereigns to change mastery points into skill points).
worst dual blade build ive ever seen in my life hahahaha
Dude assassin styles sucks :/ not even start the game and i hate it xDD
@@Babushka_82 i think the opposite man, its a class in which u can outplay tanky classes so ez and its pretty fun to use ^^
Just hit your shots with the bow lmao
Hi there I don't know how to switch my weapons. I just started the game and I've been stuck with the same weapon
You just need unlock the new weapon skill tree with 100 skill points first and craft the weapon you want, then just equip the weapon from your Inventory, making sure your armor class matches
@@killer_luck thanks so much for answering. So far I've been using the short sword with shield, so I have heavy armor which is needed for the pole axe (the weapon I wanna select). And so I want to craft the pole axe, but I don't have the materials for it. How do I get those materials, or am I doing something wrong?
@@ManufdGD you can do the current seasonal challenges for some, finish weekly quests (50 matches in 1 week) or salvage equipment you don't need
@@ManufdGD poleaxe is havyarmore and urs is light u need to creat new acount that is all u can do I think if u want to use poleax becaues it doesn't match with ur armour.
Bro can you tell me where house funds of my house came from? I did 1 house quest of 150k bronze coins and 1 group quest of 20k.. i should have 170k house funds but i have more then 255k.. Can you plz tell me how they increase? i have 0 towns..
house funds are contributed from everyone in the house so I assume you have other people that did the quests as well?
@@killer_luck Yes, i just figured it out, house group quests are different and individual for any member of the house..
i think i want to be a musket main
i would put nodatchi in b and the bow thats not true look up indigenous poncho
I've seen Indigenous Poncho play. You can be semi-useful if you really need to kill falconetti gunners that are unprotected, but other than that I would say bow is still pretty much useless after the nerf against any good player.
