@@Zulf85 when we say cartoons, it refers to western cartoons with too much cartoonish and foolish drawings like Rugrats. Anime is more realistic and has good storyline. Cartoons are basically aiming at children while anime has diverse audience demographics so the proper term is anime when referring to Japanese animation
