TM definitely has the better internals but, I have to say, my WETech samurai edge is one of the first airsoft guns I ever bought and ITS STILL GOING STRONG. It’s outlasted Echo1s, Elite Forces and even a King Arms Rifle.
Yes the internals on the TM are better, and i suspect it will last a lot longer then the WE one. However, i bought my WE for realism and realistic feel/weight, so it depends on what you expect from your gun. I use a TM glock 18 and a standard sidearm but switch to the WE Beretta for good fun.
@8:56 owning a used WE tech Samurai Edge that I refurbished, one thing to note when replacing the grips that the STARS medallion had rubbed off on, when I got the replacement STARS grips instead of clear coating just the logo I clear coated the whole entire grip. Upon doing that I was quite shockingly surprised by how much it actually made the imitation wood finish look even more like real wood. The mag and slide still had a few minor scratches but hey, for the price I got it at and it being pre owned by a friend of mine who cosplays Chris Redfield I can't complain...
To give my personal opinion? The Tokyo Marui version is more of a collector's piece and not made for heavy abuse. It's made as a wall-hanger. The We-Tech one is made for for you to take over to airsoft wars and competitions. Both are great, but if you plan on actually using it instead of hanging it up on display, the We-Tech is the way to go.
And as a side note, could it be that hard to simply take the internals of a Tokyo Marui's upper reciever and slide and place them inside a We-tech if you really think the Tokyo Marui's internals are better? Just found it worth mentioning.
I'd rather get the WE version even for display purposes since it looks like a more authentic replica. Tokyo Marui might have superior internals, but plastic is still plastic.
> but tokyo marui is renown for reliability. if your in a skirmish you need that. nothing worse the getting the jump on someone and your side arm failing.... I've abused and neglected my KJW SP-01 for half a year (didn't clean the internals). Still worked (amazingly, no drop in performance or reliability, even after all that gunk built up) and works like new and has never misfired on me. The only damage I did to it was the magazine fill valve, because I was an idiot at the time and didn't line up the nozzles correctly while re-filling my magazine, so it leaked (so it was more of user error than the gun itself). Was fixed and is now getting regularly cleaned. I've dropped my WE-Tech M45 on solid concrete, during two separate occasions. Only damage was a few scratches. Still works like new, no damage to the internals, and has never misfired on me. Is also now regularly cleaned. So yeah, my handguns that only cost around $100 are highly reliable. Granted, I can't say the same if you're a speedsofter who converted their handgun into an 100-round HPA, so maybe TM's reliability applies more there.
@@Tarantula33222 The TM have the Collector advantage because their Limited productions and officially supported by Capcom But I'd agree the WE look nicer up close because of the metal
My main beef with TM has always been that I find it hard to pay for the equivalent of two entry-level Taiwanese handguns, for a plastic pistol that shoots at 240FPS using 20g bbs. Even if you claim "accuracy" due to the barrel and hop (even though TBH, at the ranges you're using handguns, accuracy isn't really that big of a deal) or reliability (I've dropped and abused my Taiwanese handguns several times, still works like new if you maintain them properly), 240FPS using .20s means good luck trying to use this outdoors with a stiff breeze.
I have little to say about normal TM guns, but the Biohazard/Resident Evil ones aren't meant for any significant use They're Limited Collector pieces backed by Capcom, purely for hardcore RE fans.
Another good video from you!! If someday TM start to make their models in some sort of metal, all other brands will feel some kick, for sure! I can not aford TMs and I am happy with my WEs...
The newer versions of the we tech biohazards have the hop adjust in the same place as the Tokyo Marui and some models of the we tech have full auto mode which is used in the first game I believe. so personally I vote we tech as its very close to the one used the the first game and great video mike
sike3000 the arrange mode in the PS1 version of Director Cut is where the Beretta M9 Samurai Edge with the silver finish came from in the Ex Battle mode on the Dualshock Edition of RE2, Chris also uses that same version
Thanks for schooling me Mike, I had no clue it's because of laws in Japan, that TM makes plastic guns! I will totally go write TM a mail, with your suggestion to make metal guns outside of Japan! Nevermind about the booboo!
Not the pistols, they're all plastic, at least all the ones I have seen. Not sure if the TM rifles are being sold in Japan. This was news to me as you can see, I'm guessing it's because pistols are common in armed robberies, compared to rifles which are much harder to carry concealed.
ChePennyDK TM rifle is sold in japan and it's metal, except the pistol, not only TM, but also other japanese like KSC, Marushin, Maruzen and any other japanese airsoft, japanese law & rule said pistol GBB STRICTLY prohibit to make external in metal, but not rifle
to be honset, i just like more the B Burton model made by WE tech, its not so expensive as the Tokyo murai, yet its full metal, pretty strong + Barry Burton (What else do you need, it has compenstor and longer clip, im sold)
I noticed the mistake straight away haha but this video has now give me an interest in tokyo murai pistols! I dont have my UKARA yet so have a hi capa 5.1 in two tone but once I'm a member I'm buying the samurai edge and this video has now made me decide on the tokyo murai version so thanks!
All I know is that if I get another tokyo marui samurai edge, I'm getting a metal slide for it. Cuz I got the standard samurai edge from tokyo marui, and not even 2 months in, the plastic between the hammer and safety cracked.
I feel like the we tech is supposed to be the older version of the S.T.A.R.S standard issue pistol, not really suited to deal with the outbreaks. And the Tokyo marui one is the newer version, now with what we know about the outbreaks and how strong the virus is its better suited against the infected.
Not sure what the original pricings are when it released but just checked the pricing locally and the Tokyo one is literally 10 times as expensive 140€ vs 1400€ so I guess this is an easy choice because for that price the Tokyo one had to be made out of titanium and be silver plated to be worth it
Hey Mike! Quick question, does the Tokyo Marui Com have the same emblem problem where the WE Tech Samurai Edge emblem fades away after time? Because i am looking for Samurai Edge that has no problem with the emblem fading out
You should’ve done the comparison. People compare Glocks to M1911s. There are alike comparisons. But there are also different kinds of pistols comparisons. I can understand that you just wanted to compare the same model though.
I would always pick a TM over a WEtech every time (have owned several pistols by both and the reliability of WE is always a worry. TM may cost approx 35% more at retail but I'm prepared to pay a bit more

That's what I'm saying. If only we tech made a full metal albert wesker model 😩
"Oh shting hell!" That sounds really painful😬

close enough lol

the first game (1996) never had the samurai edge, it was introduced in the 2002 remake.
sike3000 the arrange mode in the PS1 version of Director Cut is where the Beretta M9 Samurai Edge with the silver finish came from in the Ex Battle mode on the Dualshock Edition of RE2, Chris also uses that same version
I dont really know about airsoft guns but i just love full metal handguns😍
Especially the desert eagle and the baretta m9
If the price I saw is right (1400eur!!!) for the plastic Marui, they can keep it. There is no reason on Earth they would have to be that expensive.
Think I came a little when I saw the box the TM came in. My God.
Thanks for schooling me Mike, I had no clue it's because of laws in Japan, that TM makes plastic guns!

seems a bit of a weird thing to ask but would the slides be interchangeable and would they effect much in the way of performance?
I love your vids i wish you would upload more
Omg not the px4, dude you dropped the px4 smh. That hurt me.
IM SO HAPPY GLOCK IS LICENSED!!! I wish it was a Marui Clone though
Spartankiller49 wait the glock is licensed!?
glock?! ugh gross, except g22
lol I wasn't too surprised. They needed to hedge their bets after losing the military contract to Sig.
Hi mike I don't believe you'll see this but if you do will you ever plan on doing a review on the Specna arms 416 thanks hope you see this.
All I know is that if I get another tokyo marui samurai edge, I'm getting a metal slide for it. Cuz I got the standard samurai edge from tokyo marui, and not even 2 months in, the plastic between the hammer and safety cracked.
I really really want the Samurai Edge Albert Wesker model but is out of stock and i dont have money :"c
You should silver Leaf or gold leaf the lettering on them. You can get it in art shops.
Hey I love your channel man you are my favorite guy other than housegamers
Hi Mike, I'm a newcomer to your videos and love 'em mate! Where do you get that racking that your guns are displayed on?
I feel like the we tech is supposed to be the older version of the S.T.A.R.S standard issue pistol, not really suited to deal with the outbreaks. WE TECH ALWAYS
LMAO not even close
The we tech barrel isn't looser. It's just crowned at the end.
Holy shit only €100 for we tech samurai edge, that's a steal!
I’m looking into M9’s and came across so many options. What’s the best in the 100-130 USD$ range??
Not sure what the original pricings are when it released but just checked the pricing locally and the Tokyo one is literally 10 times as expensive 140€ vs 1400€ so I guess this is an easy choice because for that price the Tokyo one had to be made out of titanium and be silver plated to be worth it
I don't like the silver plastic on the Tokyo marui it doesn't look as good
You make good videos.. thank you
Would'nt it be possible to take all the metal exterior and put the internals of the Marui? That would be best of both worlds...
This is a terrible comparison. Albert's SE is FAR superior than TM and WE SE. Get a standard TM SE and THEN compare it.
so funny when they all fall down from the table. lol
Hey Mike! Quick question, does the Tokyo Marui Com have the same emblem problem where the WE Tech Samurai Edge emblem fades away after time? Because i am looking for Samurai Edge that has no problem with the emblem fading out
Think there was no problems with that, own 2 but they are more collectors items than for actual shooting so I don't use them.
You should’ve done the comparison. People compare Glocks to M1911s. There are alike comparisons. But there are also different kinds of pistols comparisons. I can understand that you just wanted to compare the same model though.
is there a chance you will ever make a review of the WE or Tokyo Marui Barry Burton custom samurai edge? gen 1 (RE5) or gen 2 (RE revelations)
Does the we tech come with a threaded barrel
Try and put the marui internals in the WE. 😈
TM internals arent better lol. You're just able to replace them with actual good internals because everyone makes TM spec
great review
Where can i buy the Tokyo marui one?
TMs Polymer vs.WE-Tech Zinc Aluminium alloy (unless they changed it sometime ago but i doubt it)
how about the fps comparison?
Damn.
I have the we m9 what suppressor is compatible with it
5:56 The box clearly said it Made in Taiwan (green text on the bottom right).
TOKYO MARUI - the best
Hi mike I was wondering if you know anything about a micro ronin for bareta m92 FS, please let me know if you do thanks again god bless...
In my opinion I like the WE tech one, but like the tokyo marui ones looks better
What is the best speedsoft pistol I can get for 190$ or less.
that TM.. the paint is the problem for me, that silver looks cheap .
I wish WE Tech did one with the lower rail.
are you going to review the novritsch ssg24?
Anyone know if the metal slide from the WE one will fit the TM one?
Oo I absolutely love a barreta
Awesome!
The WE simulated wood looks more like brown resin than wood.
has anyone bought the two tone WE version?
I thought a silencer and a suppressor is the same thing....
The Mad Hatter it is
東京マルイ
before even watching I already vote the TM because it's far better
Ho is the price please awnserme...
I’ve seen Tokyo marui and we tech EVERYWHERE!!
I just bought the WE tech and it’s amazing
Yes, you just did, guilty as charged!!!
i like this two of pistol.....if i can i want one of this pistol
tokyo marui can make RE7 ALBERT W. 01 That is the strongest gun and last gun in RE7.
Nice video AirsoftMike, but whyyyyyy not ?! ○♢○
We tech ATV2 Samurai Edge
I personally love barretta and kriss
I would always pick a TM over a WEtech every time (have owned several pistols by both and the reliability of WE is always a worry. TM may cost approx 35% more at retail but I'm prepared to pay a bit more
Mike pls tell me u took off that disgusting sticker on the M93R 🤢
