This event is the first event story that I took time to read as SilverAsh is a main character in this story and it is a beautiful story. Came here for a recap and more insight to what I didn't understand and thank you for delivering it.
Arknights are really different with how they handle their story and characters. Most gacha games shows a character bs they will be playable later on, in arknights they are an actual character with motives and emotion, not just a potential new playable characters
theres only doctor and sharp (elite operator) in this story.. imagine the whole Rhodes Island make an appearance.. enciodes would fly a white flag, lol
Besides the Games of Thrones going on in Kjerag. I am more suprised that the "Goddess/Saintess" wasnt just another legend to establish the Tschägättä as yet another species of eldritch monsters on Terra BUT INSTEAD SHE IS THE REAL DEAL & the Tschägättä may or may not exist on the mountain somewhere. Tho that zero catastrophes happen in Kjerag is also reallllly interesting. Is it because of the region itself/Goddess or could there be a story hint regarding the cold&ice // Originium particles.
I'm so so sad they didn't dive into that even a bit. I was really invested in the young doctor's graphic death and self sacrifice in AWITD. I think I would have enjoyed learning more about Catastrophes, Oripathy, and the land of Kjerag than read a mini GoT.
@@tempota7792 My ongoing theory is that because of the mountains/height the originium crystals we seen in terra grow from the earth cant reach the same amount of particles up there/dont grow in the mountain region. (as far as i understood the only originium found is in the mines) The cold/ice may or may not play a role but what this also suggets is that Originium wasnt always the status Q on Terra. If there are regions besides Kjerag who arent affected by Originium besides in peoples blood its really interesting.
An interesting event overall, here's hoping that when the follow-up releases some of the loose ends will see proper closure. I had a fun time in Kjerag personally. Cheers everyone!
Im wondering if karma eill rightfully bite Enciodes in the ass like he deserves for manipulating his family and countrymen and tearing down the reputations of rival families Assassinations, coups, smear campaigns
Waaaah I've been long waiting for this. As a busy person irl I barely have time to read the story and I feel sorry for the writers about it but I'm highly invested to Arknights lore and sub stories. Thank youu
I also have no time to read but finally give it a last minute shot, lol. Just here to confirm that the story is pretty much like this oversimplified video so you havent missed anything.
Yeah, I've pretty much skipped every story after Under Tides. Just way too wordy. But gave this one a try bc of cute Enya and Ensia. Took me 2 evenings to rush thru it. Did not expect reading a bunch of words on 20 PowerPoint presentations would take so damned long lol
Thankfully Kjerag won't forget their faith or tradition anytime soon. We already seen the country that end up forgetting their tradition and glory, Kazimierz. And i guess Silverash is pretty much to make Kjerag like Kazimierz
Yeah, we have seen how Silverash forced to choose between faith and progress. But now, with the supervision from the saintess, hopefully, he will change his mind by realizing that faith can go alongside with progress.
I guess you don't watch the whole cutscenes yourself. But SA said that he doesn't mind the religion and he doesn't hate the other clans or plans to take over Kjerag. However the situation has become too dire and the change has been too slow. If possible he wants to slowly change the opinions of the people and the other clans. That's why he thanks the doctor for providing a more peaceful solution.
@@traveleramongstars4600 yeah. He had plans to take a more slow, peaceful and gentle approach to achieve his goals. However the current political turmoil in Terra yells at him that he may not have enough time achieve them that way before Kjerag's neighbors decide to compete in making his homeland their bitch. So he resorted to extreme, questionable tactics to get the change he wants and prepare the nation as fast as he can. He was fortunate to have the Dokutah around to use his godly brain and scheme out a way to make his plan conclude in a more peaceful manner, avoiding the possible bloodshed

This whole Break the Ice event is a bit similar to Japan opening up to Foreigners in 18th century, especially after seeing China being brutally "Opened" up by the West. Japan knew they are the next so they just cooperate with the foreigners.
Its interesting that the doctor rarely takes direct action to influence the outcomes of events, but he more acts as a catalyst for things to move forward on their own
Kjerrag prototype/ref was Scandinavia (except Finland=Sami), Swiss (mainly Valais it seems) and Tibet (perhaps the main ref for the political-religion situation). it was a mess of ref but not as much as Sargon, and they still did it so well with the story. a what if series based on this with Doc ended up being a warlord here would be awesome. and ofc BK, i fcking love her. tall, officer suit, powerful af, and simply exquisite
From what I've heard, the main reference for the political situation was the meji restoration, which was bassically Japan going from samurai to a more modern industrialised economy, and was as bloody as kjerag was going to be before we stepped in to ease the transition and ensure things were less weighted in favour of silverash. There is a bit of tibet thrown in as well due to religion and geopolitical location, but it's mostly meji.
@@Santisima_Trinidad nah ppl only think is meiji just bcs on industrialization side, which is just too shallow. why meiji? bcs it got pressure from outside world? the why not russian empire in 19-20th century? or bunch of other european nation which also got pushed by external forces, directly even unlike japan. those who thought of meiji forget the main features of it, Imperial restoration not industrialization, Kjerrag doesn't have royalty and SA are more leaning to outright state controlled capitalism, pure business and military. THAT is the main point industrialization is such a common theme in 18-20th century, it's not a special case unless a more specific circumstances paired with it. and what set Kjerrag apart from that all is the religion, paired with such a mountainous culture, Meiji ref as main already fall apart when there's no royalty included. if it's industrialization alone then why not Swiss which is already an apparent ref? Swiss industrialized quicker than most mainland european nation in 19th century and quickly became such prosperous nation. paired by how it's a democratic state which is closer to Kjerrag than the absolute monarchy Meiji govt gas
@@hermanwillem7057 intresting. Now, we could say that the vine bear court and the saintess are royalty, but thats a bit of a strech. Still, as you so rightly pointed out, from the start of the 18th to the 21st century a shift towards industrialisation was the norm, with more and more very traditional country's being forced to embrace it due to actual or perceived outside pressure. Which means what we can most rightly say is that the story was inspired by that theme of industrialisation, rather than by any specific instance of it, whilst the location is seemingly a hodgepodge of Scandinavian and tibetan aspects.

May I say, I love this story and its moral thereof. To move forward in faith and believe in a better tomorrow. To change in improving ourselves. Even if catastrophes and perils may soon come to pass. The characters shown here, including Sharp, SA, Saintess, Kjera, and others have their own brightest moments. Even though SA was a bit of an ass. May we see Kjerag once again.

I can not imagine the work you had to make this video. Thank you so much
12:52 as Malaysian i can confirm this
True... lmao
this one got me good.....too true
I loved Ratatos in this event, really hope we see more of her in the future.
I'm surprised Sharp can even move at all with his balls of titanium ingot.
12:52 was not expecting this roast ☠☠☠
God I want one of the Browntails (Ratatos) to be playable. But also holy moly Sharp is a Gigachad.
Useless fun fact:
Yucatan is the name of a state of Mexico, where the asteroid that extinguished the dinosaurs hit (Chicxulub crater).
During this event Silverash and co learn what it feels like to be facing the doctor as the enemy.
theres only doctor and sharp (elite operator) in this story.. imagine the whole Rhodes Island make an appearance.. enciodes would fly a white flag, lol
@@darkomega6597 Why waste the precious time of other operators when he can use the current "assets" he has to make the Silverash fear him?
(as far as i understood the only originium found is in the mines)
The cold/ice may or may not play a role but what this also suggets is that Originium wasnt always the status Q on Terra. If there are regions besides Kjerag who arent affected by Originium besides in peoples blood its really interesting.
12:52 Frost's saying the truth. Malaysian parliament is as same as COD lobby. Too much "heat".
If Sharp and Degenbrencher had almost the same then…why HG doesn’t implement the duel of the fate when it’s an actual 1 vs 1
*_Duel of the fates intensifies_*
Probably staged since SA aim is to become dokutah best friend.
@@danielmick5236 Close but really his entire objective was get dokutah and Saintess to fall in love. :3
@@EternalGaming786 he approved? Must be in that new contract
@@EternalGaming786 There is zero Canon support for that. Please do not spread blatantly false information.
An interesting event overall, here's hoping that when the follow-up releases some of the loose ends will see proper closure. I had a fun time in Kjerag personally. Cheers everyone!
Im wondering if karma eill rightfully bite Enciodes in the ass like he deserves for manipulating his family and countrymen and tearing down the reputations of rival families
Assassinations, coups, smear campaigns
ah yes finally, I have been waiting for this 🙏
Waaaah I've been long waiting for this.
And i guess Silverash is pretty much to make Kjerag like Kazimierz
for the better
Dude the real MVP in this event is Sharp, my man just trashed the tschaggatta on his own and hold the Dark Knight like the absolute chad he is. We need him being playable asap pls HG I'm begging here. I want playable Degenbrecher as much as the next person but c'mon on my man Sharp deserves it I WOULD WHALE FOR HIM
Well, iirc Sharp and other Elite Operators are playable...as exclusive for the upcoming Integrated Strategies 2 mode
One of the strongest ops you can get if you are very, very lucky
Dokutah: I play both sides so I always comes out on top
We had a date with a Goddess.
chad dokta strike again.
We got kabedon'd by Kjera lol
Oh a side note, I believe different translators worked on diff characters. You could by the tone and word choice that who/which ever team did Sharp and Aurora wasn't a native English speaker(s). Felt entirely different from the prose used in the political intrigue parts of the script.
It was a great story, really Nice to see the silverash trio together in it.
welcome to Rhodes Island, we are pharmaceutical company with a really close ties to the leader of one of the most bountiful resource country in Terra and recently employ a literal GODDESS of said country.
Thank you for the summary, I was like 1/4 way through the story and got really busy to read till the end and the event was ending. so this was great
"...heated discussion more than Malaysian parliament."
Me : Could this man be one of my people?
Close, but actually he's one of your neighbor I think.
Yeah frost is neighbor. But as a neighbor too myself, I like them Malaysian parliament.
If only Monch didn't leaving first, she will go to Rhodes Island with Gnosis.
maybe she will reappear in the future. Maybe she's on some form of journey of self-discovery or something to help herself
the story really looks like it didn't finish properly.. could be like Nearl's event? got part 2 and part 3.. what happened to monch? valais? degenbrecher? that degenbrecher got high chance to be limited operator lol
So Kjerag is reverse Wano in One Piece with a sprinkle of Game of Thrones. Instead Orochi being jerk and close the border, we get drip SilverAsh who wants to open the border by any means necessary.
Gnosis be like that one kid in class who is both smart and likes to stir up a shit storm just for personal gains. . .
Also
Aw c'mon.... Hope monch going sudden AWOL situation is just like how horn survived thus becoming an operator by the future (๑´•.̫ • `๑)
Sharp fight equally with The Black Knight with only knife and shield is just pure badassory
Thank you Sir FrostByte.
Hope your day good.
Always waiting for the another content.
Keep Up!
It caught me off guard when you mentioned the Malaysian parliament 😭🤣
If I had a nickle for everytime a person who is secretly or openly a literal God deity come to Rhode Island looking for a job, I'll have more than 3 nickles, which is quite a lot.
This whole Break the Ice event is a bit similar to Japan opening up to Foreigners in 18th century, especially after seeing China being brutally "Opened" up by the West. Japan knew they are the next so they just cooperate with the foreigners.
Absolutely one of the best events. You guys missed the fun if you skipped the story. Highly recommend to read it in the event records
Thank you for always making story summary
also, Dibs on Monch being playable in future Kjerag event
Nicely done. You did justice to a great story
The strom is approaching.
In my head : I AM THE STROM THAT IS APPROACHING!!!
THAT is the main point
industrialization is such a common theme in 18-20th century, it's not a special case unless a more specific circumstances paired with it. and what set Kjerrag apart from that all is the religion, paired with such a mountainous culture, Meiji ref as main already fall apart when there's no royalty included.
if it's industrialization alone then why not Swiss which is already an apparent ref?
By name alone my favorite NPC in the event is Ratatos and I'm sure you know why
I, too, am waiting for Degenbrecher to become playable
I love you man
Thanks for the summary! I've been sick for the last 2 weeks and I really didn't have the energy to read several hours of story.
Now I at least didn't miss the story entirely! Thanks again!
Edit: I guess we have another Goddess in RI! Also, playable Monch and Degenbrecher when?!
I like this story, the characters often throwing sarcasms to each other lol
15:34
I'M THE STORM THAT IS APPROACHING
Your oversimplifications are getting a lot better
Thank you for making these story summed up videos, we love it!
So is that mean SilverAsh army is weaker than one-man-army "Sharp"?
Damn, he is really strong by only using his sharp blade
Anyway really great story and conflict inside Kjerag, which doctor and saintess appearance became the resolution for all of it
Also, please... I need Ratatos as playable OP 😭
to be fair there was some level of pulling back as they weren't aiming to kill each other. Still though that's still quite an accomplishment
@@granmastersword Yup, it's just the difference in vision between the two sides, but actually there is no intention to destroy each other
Remember the Doctor predicted this and play along and he still win (by making sure the conflict does not escalate and making RI a true supporter to any faction that dont f with them)
Operator Sharp: "Doctor No"
Dokutah: "DOCTOR YES!"
17:52 that is what Arknights is all about.. we plan our moves like Chess, with our operators as Chess Pieces.. against.. Dragons, or something even more nasty hahaha
15:31 “The strom is approaching”
Thank you for the chess link! I was too dumb to understand why it ended in tabs
Why the heck 12:49 reminds me of a dog which are wearing a hat sitting down with a coffe and saying "this is fine"?
So basically kjera is just the same like the sui siblings?🤨👀
Well, Kjera is not jobless and watching her whole land that's the difference
@@FrostByte262 oh THAT too🤣🤦♀️
Kaltsit: Are there any more goddess I should know about?!
Skalter: Hi
And the sui siblings are pieces of Sui who was destroyed, Kjera on the other hand is a full goddess however she is relatively younger than the siblings.
Kjera is the humanoid embodiment of Kjeragandr. She is a weakened noumenon rather than a fragment.
Really big thanks for making the summary of the events Break the Ice
May I say, I love this story and its moral thereof. To move forward in faith and believe in a better tomorrow. To change in improving ourselves. Even if catastrophes and perils may soon come to pass. The characters shown here, including Sharp, SA, Saintess, Kjera, and others have their own brightest moments. Even though SA was a bit of an ass. The chapters were quite fun, but sad I couldn’t auto-farm the grindstones on the 8th chapter without a support unit from my buddies. But overall, Break the Ice was a good event. May we see Kjerag once again.
Valais and Degenbrecher are the two characters I want to recruit in the future in case they'll have one. Especially, Valais, she screams "Milk me, Dokutah" With her bell hanging on her neck.
These videos are really helpful. I love arknights story but I have a hard time tapping through the story my self. Thanks
the storm is approaching
15:32 i feel so motivated when the storm is approaching, wait something is wrong
vergil come from a portal and start play "Bury the light": did i hear someone say motivated?
19:40 But Frost Degenbrecher never came in the banner, its all your fault for giving us hope x)
nice story summary
It was not for naught
12:53 boi you make me laugh like maniac in the office 😂 greetings from Malaysia btw
Operator Records + SilverAsh story, in any order.
I also hope that degenbrecher becomes anniversary operator welp only time will come
> Kjerag
> Scandinavia
So you are telling me these people, if given a car, is a natural born Rally Drivers?
Maybe Kjera can do a Scandinavian Flick just with her Mech-Accord on the wheel.
*I want a Kjerag Rally, like right now*
Dangit can’t believe frost already called dibs on degenbrencher
My sides went suborbital when I read the lines at 12:52. It's so funny and true. -Needs more "PAKYU!", though.-
11:02
Remember sharp, no bloodshed here
I stand for Degenbrencher and Valais supremacy.
And ur right !! she is coming
