Hi Robbie! I purchased 3 tomato plants from Home Depot as they were on sale. They were still kind of expensive, but I ended up buying 3 small pots because there were 2 plants in each, so I got 6 plants! I did have to search but this way, I'll have plenty to work with. I've never grown tomatoes and these are cherry tomatoes. So, we shall see 🤷‍♀️
    I'm excited!

I think I know which are suckers and which are leaves.. anyway I clipped one that I'm thinking is a sucker based on her video she did of that... pretty small but I want to see if it will root. I realized I don't have enough tomato stakes if all of these plants actually start producing tomatoes but that's a good problem to have. I'll aee about getting some or trying to make my own. I got 2 free from a neighbor.

Do you have a short or anything on creating your bin planters showing the drainage holes you put in?
I'm loving the way you created the tubing/tulle covers and clips you devised to attach together too. I have rabbits, squirrels, and gophers along with birds and insects, so your methods are so encouraging. I've gardened for 50+ years and virtually gave up because of the critter damage.
Your soil building techniques are also extraordinary and using the plastic pitchers to compost in place also makes so much sense.
Thank you for sharing it all. Cheers❣️👍👏

I have videos on setting up Totes and Composting and Place, setting up the tulle, setting up the irrigation tubing, setting up the pitchers. But, I think you’re looking for like individual shorter videos on each one and that I’m not sure if I’ve got. I’ve got a lot on container gardening, and it does cover all this, but it might be longer than what you’re looking for or you may have to kind of go through the videos, put them on double speed and see if that’s what you want, and I do show how to make holes and everything. I’ll see what I can do after the weather cools as to do shorter videos on each of these topics. Thanks ❤️

I had the same situation where I got 10 seeds for a price. I have had such a hard time getting them to germinate. It's June now. I started trying to grow them in MARCH. I only got some seeds to start end of May/June. when you only have 10 seeds, tis so stressful when they don't germinate. So now that I have one or two of each plant, I realized I wanted to try to get true seeds because of the experience I had with only having 10 seeds to start with. I figured one ripe tomato would give me as many as that. So I've been trying to figure out how I will do this. I have a passive hydroponic set up and that is in the open. But I am thinking I'm going to have to do a soil container for the tomatoes because I will need to net them off to keep them from cross polinating with each other.
I have Green Grape ( 2 seedlings), Bosque Blue cherry ( 3 seedlings) , Everglade, (only 2 seedlings) Yellow Currant ( 2 seedlings), Valencia Orange tomato ( 2 seedlings) , and MicroTom ( 2 seedlings) I don't know if it's because the weather has been cooler or what, but nothing germinated before April even the ones I had on heating mats, or in containers with plenty of moisture and warmth. So now that I have got seedlings, I'm determined to not have to go through this again. I don't know if one plant will be enough to get true seeds or if I have to put two of the same kind of plant in for cross polination withhin the same plant type...
Any advice would be wonderful. I started thinking I'd just grow a couple of seeds and have a rainbow of cherry tomatoes, and now it's a mission.

You have a nice paradise for little birds..., do you ever get terrible Hawks hunting your little birds ?? We have Red-tailed Hawks here and all the birds are on alert which is sad, even our smart Scrubjays. The Hawk usually goes after the Mourning Doves, Scrub jays and Mocking birds as well as groups of birds which is very sad and causes stress in a place of beauty that should be peaceful. The Goldfinches are coming by to peck the Sunflower leaves which is fine as we have a lot of extremely tall Sunflowers this year. In the past, I would hang Niger seed socks for them but the rats would have a field-day at night. I swear the new generations of birds through the years remember that there was seed-socks hung for them....and I wonder how they know where to look for food ( as they look surprised when they cannot find what they are looking for though they are in the right spot....just the wrong year of where there used-to be niger seed socks ) .

Great project Robbie ❣️🌟🌻 You gave me an idea with that dwarf tomato that I bought that is super productive! I will squeeze a tomato of that plant in a small pot to see if it's heirloom tomato or a hybrid. Cause when I brought the plant it didn't said if it's heirloom....and I like it so much cause its super productive! And it's sooo cool for balconies, patios and small spaces 🍅 I have it in small pot. And the taste of the tomatoes is sweet. I will start the project from today and I will be able to grow them and to see if it's an hybrid or heirloom tomato to save the seeds for next year.! I bought it 5 euros and it was a ready tomato plant that was blooming. I think that we have lower prices cause here in the city people don't garden vegetables....The most expensive seeds that I have bought was stevia seeds that cost me 3,50 euros and it only had ten seeds. I've planted five of them but never came up 😋 fortunately I've found stevia plant for five euros and I'm so happy 🤗
Thank you for the great idea 💡 Robbie ❣️🌟❣️ Please keep us update with your project 🙏 I love everything about tomatoes and peppers 😍💗🍅 Thank you so much Robbie 💞
