Hey I just watched your play through and it helped me a lot with the solo game. One thing I think you are doing incorrectly is movement across roads. What you did was that you used one action to move all across a road from one end to another without counting any hexes or rolling any dice. Based on my reading of rules and checking comments on BGG, I think that is wrong. You still need to use an action to roll terrain die to move across a road and you can only move that many hexes as there are dice available to you to roll. The benefit of the road is that you don't need to match the terrain of the hex to the die once you are on the road. That's the only benefit of a road. For example, if you are on a road hex and you want to move down the road then you will need to spend one action to move and roll die. Say you use that action to roll 3 dice that are available to you. Now after rolling, you can use those dice to move 3 hexes down the road without worrying about what terrain was rolled. But you will still be limited to moving only as many hexes as the number of dice you rolled, which in this example is 3. You cannot move all the way across the road to the end, going through 10-15 hexes like you did in one go. But overall, really good playthrough!
this is an excellent game especially with unbreakable bonds. i've got all the expansions for this. not had it out in ages due to set up and tear down but that token app is a fekin godsend man. cheers! enjoy ur vids mate..u defo deserve more subs 👍 could defo do with some time stamps on the vids tho
Great tutorial for solo mode. So if I wanted to play coop with a friend can I basically play the same with the BGG enemy boards? Also can you play solo but control 2 characters or does it make it too easy?
Thx for this video! This game looks so cool. I bought it few days ago and waiting for it not. Anybody can guide me to forums or groups that making home rules or new scenarios or expansions/modifications for this game?
Ok, I just got the game today. So me and my bro instead of playing another scenario of Waste Knights decide to try out "something more chill and less demanding" haha 🙆 We played dragon scenario and we have been completely crushed by this game 🤣 But we totally love it ❤️
Apologies, know you posted this video a long time ago. A question: How much is this a game of skill? If I play it a lot, in what ways should I get better at it? Thanks, - toby
It has been a while, but I would recommend going after encounters in which you can start gaining skill cards and items that can improve your token pool. Also make use of the "road travel" mechanic so you are not wasting turns just traveling along the countryside. Hope that helps.
Thank you! This video had perfect timing, I have been wanting to get this out for a while, I appreciate you running down how to use the enemy sheets, I printed them off previously but had not taken the time to figure them out. But I did pull it out last night and put it on the table with a commitment to play it today LOL. Just placed an order for these on Amazon, several threads recommend them www.amazon.com/Capsules-Protect-Organizer-Collection-Supplies/dp/B07CNDTYC6/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=30mm+coin+capsule&qid=1596150844&sprefix=30mm+coi&sr=8-5
@@p4n95 I have purchased something similar in the past for my Arkham Horror LCG tokens. I actually went looking for them to put on my Runebound tokens but I did not have enough left. I highly recommend.

Great! Just bought the game recently to play solo only. The UB expansion is not affordable so this comes in handy!! Thx !!

I also play with only the core set. After 2 years I still have fun. I just wish there were more scenarios.

Absolutely. I think the game is challenging enough , so I don't think playing two handed would be too easy.

The forums on BGG are probably your best bet. boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/181530/runebound-third-edition/forums/69

Which token cast apps were you referencing?
Here is a link to the token caster app. I will add it to the video description as well.
