@@ThibautMahringer LFM is disabling the low pass filter, AKA it allows the speaker to play below 40hz because normally thats the cutoff, so if the speaker had a proper enclosure, and a proper subwoofer, LFM would actually give it bass

Well you don't need to open up your speaker for starters, the passive radiators (those things on the side) do that already. They don't actually wave at all just the FPS of the camera makes it look like that. 40 FPS and lower should do the trick. (I would recommend recording on an app like Snapchat or Instagram not on regular camera) I also found this to be more prominent and wavy on low frequency mode which to activate hold down the volume down and Bluetooth button for 15 seconds. Do not use this mode on full volume for an extended period of time or you will destroy your speaker.
@Andy - Not garbage. It's far from garbage. Granted I don't have the original Boombox, but I have the Boombox 2 and I can damn well tell you it's not as bad as you say. I took my Boombox 2 to work and played music the entire time 8 hours straight on 80% volume, and battery only went down to half way. It takes about 4 hours to charge fully. Boombox 2 battery is smaller because the drivers are more energy efficient and deliver about the same results as the original Boombox. As for the 1 USB charging port, I don't know really know why they did that, but not a big deal breaker. $650 is not even close. You can get new ones on Amazon for 500 (which is still too high), or go refurbished. Boombox 2 is ipx7 as is the original Boombox, so they can both take a splash.
@@kailumgg6720 If you're replying to my comment, 70% and 80% can make the results change a lot. Also, I customed equed it to play max bass and low treble, and those subwoofers will eat your battery like crazy if you have it at high volume.
@@RcFlashDriver Very garbage. Anything bluetooth by JBL is like above $300 just for something that cant even play down to 40hz, the amount of "bass" you get for the price you pay is not even remotely worth it, the speaker should be $200 MAX.
The BB2 sounds more open without the grill like that but it is risky since the grill is there to protect the drivers/tweeters since those are the most susceptible to being damaged when used without the grill as showed here. Love my pair in stereo mode and my main gripe is the price and lack of security too keep hijackers connecting to this device and EQ ofc

That mode you're using is a debug mode made for JBL to diagnose any issues with it. Listening to music with debug mode active can potentially cause damage
Do you know why people keep using the debug mode, its because we as a JBL's customer we want a really strong bass and we want the excursion to be really high , we do not want this chill excursion we want to see those speaker driver and the passive radiator move a lot . that is what we want if we don't want us to use the debug mode .
I was tempted to do the boombox 2, but I got convinced to get the one because I prefer the bigger battery and being able to use it in sync with all the current jbl bt speakers.....you can't go wrong with either though because all the new JBL bt speakers will sync with this one(even though the smaller battery will suck compared to the first boombox.

You must have a bad one mine lasted for 13 hours 70% to 100% volume and only went down to 75% battery left
