Even though I've had a CAV T1 Master for a long time and know everything you said in the video, I enjoy watching the video and it's even better because it's ultrawide and it looks perfect on my ultrawide monitor

I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend running IRISH. When you are at objectives you can quickly hop out and put down his trophy system. The trophy system will eat all of the air vehicle explosive projectiles, all of the enemy rockets and most of the ground vehicle explosives except the tank shells and TOR shots. When retreating and your APS is down you can also hop out and quickly deploy the trophy system to save your CAV from enemy rockets. Of course having passengers as engineers is extremely helpful. I did this today and the trophy systems ate a ton of projectiles. This combined with repair tool and APS helps keep the CAV alive for days. :)
Oh man as a driver I’d love it if someone Irish’ed for me. I’m wedded to my RPG and popping out to get the clutch shots / watching for C5’ers, but having a Trophy system spread out I can loop around whilst on the objectives would be magic. One day I’ll have the full crew! To clarify one point you said there, can Irish not stop tank shells?
Yes unlike the APS, Irish's sentinel that he places down can not eat the tank shells (the tank's primary fire/ TOR shot equivalent). Running as an engineer is a good call, hopping out and getting clutch shots with the RPG is very useful and that is what I had my squamate do 😃. I love playing this game with a teammate and the teamwork is heavily rewarded . 👍 @timelessgamer435
I’ve come SO close to landing a pizza delivery but to this day, I’ve never pulled it off. I got 2 hits on a RAM which survived with 1% health. So pissed 😂

Man, seeing those turret turn speeds as a console player seems completely insane ^.^' I wish more people would pay attention as gunners other than the few friends I've made in this game. And I really thought you would use the Jojo reference "Oh you're approaching me? I can't beat the s*** out of you without getting closer." :D
I know just where to use that one - I think we need an anime edition episode!! Yeah I mean a lot of my gunners do have their heads in the clouds but when it comes together the magic just works. I definitely prefer to be the driver on the crew but I’ll do my shift on the guns. Even better when as you say you can get a few friends together.

Very good Video Timeless! I always fear the CAV and most of the time don‘t even try to take him out because 3C5 in the back isn’t even enough. When fully equipped it‘s probably the best vehicle in the game because you really can fight anything with it. I have a mate that loves to spawn the CAV brawler on top of C1 on Spearhead and shoot over the little edge, and often enough he survives the whole game. That thing is really strong. Loved the video!
Have you seen the ‘new’ Spearhead tactic of rushing at the start & calling in CAV / AA LATVs onto the roof with Irish trophy turrets? The 200m Flak cannon range is bang on the aerial spawn zone for the US side. It’s so broken! Every match now at spawn I’m waiting to catch the Hind / Pond Hawk runners 😅 Thanks for the support as always - the CAV is indeed an absolute monster which in the right hands can defeat anything. Sounds like your friend has the right idea - I have a GREAT run when I jumped out of a pond hawk and stole their Wildcat being repaired on C2 roof. Absolutely slaughtered the ground crew & no matter how hard they tried, they couldn’t dig me out 😅

There's nothing better than turning their own against them -- and then watching waves of them die to their own stitch up. I have to admit I was unable to break the fortress on top of E1, though in fairness it was about 20 against one! If you see it, be sure to clip it ;)@@krazyknul
Have fun with it, it’s actually a cracking vehicle especially if you’ve got friends on comms. If you’re playing with randoms just remember you can only do so much if others aren’t pulling weight. There will be rough times, but it’s worth it. Enjoy!

Nobody is shooting out my core - though I have to admit one of the major uses for it was equipping it to a light frame, triple dashing in to bury quad rocket shots at point blank, popping elec smoke and then self destruct eject. Yes, I am a jerk 😅
Man, that ability to ‘Spawn on Vehicle’ is like an XP Generator! 😅 I still need to give this game a go! Ripping enemy aircraft out of the air looks like it’d be so satisfying! 😅
Fun video. Cav is one of my favorite vehicles. About 200 kills from T1 mostly on breakthrough. There I think the fire grenades are best. Awesome AOE and noob friendly since I play solo. It hurts my soul when noobs get in my cav and use the apds for infantry and machine gun on vehicles. So frustrating!
Yeah you could make a completely different video on CAV in Breakthrough, where Canister Shot & Incendiary Rounds rule the day. It’s such a Beast of a vehicle. What kills my Soul inside is when someone uses the AA Flak to shoot at infantry, completely ignoring the aerial targets I’m trying my damndest to get them in range of 😅

Nice video man :) That clip where you fought the MBT, Wildcat and MAV was absolutely clutch! Great work. I definitely think the CAV is the best choice over the MAV because of the APS. It's just too useful. Plus, the antipersonnel cluster launcher definitely makes it more fun to be the driver compared to the MAV.
I really thought that MAV had me at the end, it must have spent all its 50 rounds for me to have got away with my side showing. I couldn’t agree more the APS just makes the MAV irrelevant, as does having two engineers protect repairing you on the move. The MAV needs a rework for sure, as does the Condor. As you say the MAV is slow and boring to drive / nothing for the driver to do. It’s just not fun in comparison. Thanks as ever for the support and glad to see how awesome your channel is doing. I’ve started flying btw, Elf will be disgusted when he sees it 😅
Jumping out as an engineer with the recoilless or RPG-7 is the way to go, you need that extra rocket to quickly take out MBTs. Even better if you have two engineer so now you have two rockets. Can you experiment if the engineers behind can resupply while being inside the CAV from an ammo box that is stuck on the CAV?
@@timelessgamer_UKHalf of the time, I actually jump on the CAV and stay on top of it to protect the CAV from C5ers with LMGs to make sure I have enough bullets, with this I have a 360 degree view so better awareness and firepower against vehicles assuming my recoilless is out but this in turn makes me VERY vulnerable so I usually stand behind the 25mm APDS turret and go prone. Although, any form of explosive that hits the turret means I'm probably dead.
I've never done that on the CAV but I do regularly ride along on main battle tanks and MAVs to give additional firepower / repairs. It's good to hear ppl are dedicated to looking out for their vehicles, makes a huge difference to the gameplay. I don't mind at all going down to save the vehicle@@aces6262
@@timelessgamer_UK I would die to protect friendly vehicles every time possible because vehicle cooldown is long especially for armed transports and MBTs since they are most versatile vehicle on the field, losing them meaning longer down time that makes your team gimped. Jumping on MBTs are also a lot safer because you can hide behind the turret (on the engine deck), the M1A5 has the largest turret followed by the T-28 and the least safe the RAM, and go prone with your repair tool and stand back up and pull out your RPG if your tank is on a duel with another vehicle. Love the vid!

Thanks I’m really glad to hear you’re enjoying the channel - BF is an incredible franchise & I really love the team gameplay, no other FPS I can think of even comes close. The MAV is a little difficult to make a vid about as there’s really not a lot to say about it. The weapons load out is pretty obvious, it doesn’t have APS or countermeasures and is incredibly slow. It’s also crippled by EMP attacks. I can’t think why I’d pick it over the CAV 😅
I’ve been exclusively using the incindery rounds as my gunner seat 3 since I’ve unlocked it. Has it been nerfed or is it better to have something else? Is that the slot where the anti vehicle gun goes?
The rounds haven’t been nerfed and they’re definitely the pick of choice if you’re playing Breakthrough. The problem is on Conquest, air power (in my opinion) is horrifically overpowered. If you don’t have something to repel an Apache / Hokum, Nightbird or Jet - you’re dead. Simple as that since Season 6.
Yes, I agree that, in teory, the AA is better for conquest. But is hard to find a player that is willing to play with a gun that is not very easy to use thanks to its limited range and is pretty much useless against infantry. Anyway, the Brawler is lots of fun. Keep up the good videos! Regards from another timeless dad from Brazil
Wow awesome gameplay, i do like the cav because its fun to be the driver as well as the weapon stations being good but i dont play it much because i always get noobs or ai that ruin seat switching. Im t1 in all tanks, the ram, jets and helicopters and almost in the bolte too but i just get annoyed with random ai that jump in and either waste all the ammo or when you seat swap just start driving in the worst possible direction 🤬 thats an update id love to see, ai that actually listen to the "get out" commo rose 🤣
Thanks for the support - AI can be a pain but lately I have to say the Asian (South East Asia) are seeing really good player numbers. I’m closing in on my T1 dream for the RAM, Jet I am a million miles away. Locking vehicles to prevent AI entering would be a good feature. Something that does make my blood boil in this game is when a player spawns into the driver seat because I had to switch guns and refuses to give the vehicle back. May your pillow be forever warm and unfluffy!! It’s so little to ask to just slide over and give the vehicle back 😅
Cav is amazing but I just get idiots that don’t heal me or help or even get out if they’re in the back shooting saving the spawn slot for people to spawn on vehicles… they let me down … always
Yes but only if you spend a disproportionate amount of time on them or they’re low health. The AA gun is definitely very bad at Infantry kills. For example, it won’t stop an Engineer C5’ing you even if you fully concentrate on them, if they’re on full health.

CAV is love. The additional protection against c5 and mines is really nice too. It has better surviveability than the MAV.
It’s just all round better than the MAV, they need to revisit & rethink its proposition. I can’t imagine many people choose it anymore.
I like to think that in the bf universe your a combat personnel advisor showing future soldiers how to use the Brawler reliably and flexibly.
That would be quite fun - this equipment costs $5M so please use it effectively and try not to get blown up in under a minute 😅

@@timelessgamer_UKHalf of the time, I actually jump on the CAV and stay on top of it to protect the CAV from C5ers with LMGs to make sure I have enough bullets, with this I have a 360 degree view so better awareness and firepower against vehicles assuming my recoilless is out but this in turn makes me VERY vulnerable so I usually stand behind the 25mm APDS turret and go prone. Although, any form of explosive that hits the turret means I'm probably dead.
I've never done that on the CAV but I do regularly ride along on main battle tanks and MAVs to give additional firepower / repairs. It's good to hear ppl are dedicated to looking out for their vehicles, makes a huge difference to the gameplay. I don't mind at all going down to save the vehicle@@aces6262
@@timelessgamer_UK I would die to protect friendly vehicles every time possible because vehicle cooldown is long especially for armed transports and MBTs since they are most versatile vehicle on the field, losing them meaning longer down time that makes your team gimped. Jumping on MBTs are also a lot safer because you can hide behind the turret (on the engine deck), the M1A5 has the largest turret followed by the T-28 and the least safe the RAM, and go prone with your repair tool and stand back up and pull out your RPG if your tank is on a duel with another vehicle. Thanks I’m really glad to hear you’re enjoying the channel - BF is an incredible franchise & I really love the team gameplay, no other FPS I can think of even comes close. The MAV is a little difficult to make a vid about as there’s really not a lot to say about it. The weapons load out is pretty obvious, it doesn’t have APS or countermeasures and is incredibly slow. It’s also crippled by EMP attacks. I can’t think why I’d pick it over the CAV 😅
I’ve been exclusively using the incindery rounds as my gunner seat 3 since I’ve unlocked it. Has it been nerfed or is it better to have something else? Is that the slot where the anti vehicle gun goes?
The rounds haven’t been nerfed and they’re definitely the pick of choice if you’re playing Breakthrough. The problem is on Conquest, air power (in my opinion) is horrifically overpowered. If you don’t have something to repel an Apache / Hokum, Nightbird or Jet - you’re dead. Simple as that since Season 6.
The incendiary ammo for the 2nd gunner is a absolut must against infantry and I think it is more reliable than the AA
I would absolutely agree if it were Breakthrough, but on Conquest? I fear death from above!
Yes, I agree that, in teory, the AA is better for conquest. But is hard to find a player that is willing to play with a gun that is not very easy to use thanks to its limited range and is pretty much useless against infantry. Anyway, the Brawler is lots of fun. Keep up the good videos! Regards from another timeless dad from Brazil

Wow awesome gameplay, i do like the cav because its fun to be the driver as well as the weapon stations being good but i dont play it much because i always get noobs or ai that ruin seat switching. Im t1 in all tanks, the ram, jets and helicopters and almost in the bolte too but i just get annoyed with random ai that jump in and either waste all the ammo or when you seat swap just start driving in the worst possible direction 🤬 thats an update id love to see, ai that actually listen to the "get out" commo rose 🤣
Thanks for the support - AI can be a pain but lately I have to say the Asian (South East Asia) are seeing really good player numbers. I’m closing in on my T1 dream for the RAM, Jet I am a million miles away. Locking vehicles to prevent AI entering would be a good feature.
Something that does make my blood boil in this game is when a player spawns into the driver seat because I had to switch guns and refuses to give the vehicle back. May your pillow be forever warm and unfluffy!! It’s so little to ask to just slide over and give the vehicle back 😅
Having ride alongs with rpg’s will let your crew smoke every and any vehicle in the game
The is is very true - 2 engineers on their game repairing & using the RPG is immense

Cav is amazing but I just get idiots that don’t heal me or help or even get out if they’re in the back shooting saving the spawn slot for people to spawn on vehicles… they let me down … always
There’s no denying the CAV is only as good as its crew. Hang in there! It’s worth it when you find the right people

If you’ve got the crew running it as one, only a RAM has a chance. Everyone else is done.
Can the AA cannons take out infantry ?
Yes but only if you spend a disproportionate amount of time on them or they’re low health. The AA gun is definitely very bad at Infantry kills. For example, it won’t stop an Engineer C5’ing you even if you fully concentrate on them, if they’re on full health.
