Thanks for the reaction! I've been into them non-stop for ~ a year. Love their groove. Sun Killer sets the vibe for the Eternal Blue debut. They go from Dethmetal to proggy poppy hooks. I sense 'true" metal fans disrespect Spiritbox for the latter--being soft. Don't believe them. I typically avoid vocal growls... Like, Nah all day for that. But Courtney's different. Her melodic cleans are all summer butter over constant grooves, then drops. Courtney's growls are deadly, not 'messy,' which I can't explain. They have more intent. I can even understand most of what she's screaming! Now I'll stop gushing -- thanks again for the appetizer. Just a nibble. All their official videos are really, really great. "Rule of Nines" Courtney LaPlante live one-take is one of their biggies. Then "Blessed Be" which could've come straight out of a Stephen King novel, Maine girl. Happy Halloween!
Gotta check out more Spiritbox. I’ve been obsessed with them for about 4 years now. Courtney (lead singer) and Mike (guitarist) are married. I think they formed in 2016 in Canada. This is the first song off their only full length album called Eternal Blue. They can do it all. Brutally heavy or light and vibey. I suggest you try a two song listen of theirs next. They were both on the EP they released last November called The Fear of Fear and the songs are next to each other on the album. First song is called Too Close Too Late and it flows right in to the next song Angel Eyes.
You should have heard of them if you follow music media coverages, as the did runner up to Metallica only for last year's Metal Music Awards, or similar, some of these strange annual events somewhere in the US celebrating artists with a ranking
Not too familiar with this band Kelly but the few songs that I've heard from them including this one I like what I've heard from them. Wintersun Alex ❄️♥️
Courtney has that soothing voice and then all the screams in metal.

Next to do are double features: Rule of Nines OMV + Courtney LaPlante one take vocal performance, Circle with Me OMV + one take vocal performance
They broke through online with their song and OMV for Holy Roller 2020.
