your voice is so beautiful. i honestly let out a tear cause its just such a emotionel song and it just hit a spot in me on which i cant describe it. :)
The fact that you took the time to find and comment on such a small channel's reaction to your song speaks volumes to your character, and just makes me even more proud to be a subscriber!
Oh my, I'm a fan of Leo, and had seen this song before, but just came across this and you put into words what I was thinking. I'm a child of the 80's and when Roxette came on the scene I became a huge fan. This song brings back so many memories! Brought tears to my eyes also!
Leo has been putting out some of the best metal covers on youtube, no contest, ever since i can remember him on youtube. Never fails to impress. Then you come along, and you react with such knowledge and detail, adding in your own personal stories and such, and i love it. It personalizes your videos.
@@OldSkuleNerd You had me with your Five Finger Death Punch songs. I truly enjoy hearing your stories and your perspective on things. Very down to earth. And yes, dont worry. I cried like a baby. Again.
One of the great things about Leo videos is with the outros, you usually* get two songs for the click of one! And they both rock! *When he does a tribute video to an artist who has recently passed, he forgoes the outro and self-advertising. Very respectful and classy.
As soon as I saw this video with Leo and Violet I went and bought it. Didn't watch it just bought it. I'm as old as you and this version took me back to when I was a kid listening to Roxette do it! Awesome reaction man!!
So funny, I'm a Patreon of Leo and I watch his videos here first😁. Being in the same age range as you (probably a little older), I can relate to your stories and insights on the songs you review. Keep up the good work, now I will go watch this video again on his site and have a look at what Violet has to offer.
@@OldSkuleNerd Roxette was the first CD i was ever gifted. it was my 14th birthday, my first girlfriend and a song I'll never forget. also the first i learned on guitar. I feel you!
Awesome!!! Believe it or not I had a little something to do with getting them to Colab. I am a big fan of both of these great musicians . On Twitter Violet responded to me about something I had said about Leo. Saying she would love to do a colab with him. So I pounded Leo’s Twitter and UA-cam even in Norwegian language telling him she wanted to do a colab with him.
1988 I was... 6. Fine. I lived between Lakewood, CO and a small town in Northeast NM. I travelled this route between my mom and dad my whole childhood, but this was part of the soundtrack that took me there. This version was outstanding!
Late 2019 was rough on Trekkies and children of the 80s in general. We lost Aaron Eisenberg (Nog), Rene Auberjonois (Odo) and D.C. Fontana (TOS/TNG writer), the latter two 6 days apart. And then I heard about Marie, and it nearly broke me.
I saw the video earlier today and loved it! Was so exited when I later saw that you had done a reaction to it. This was a joy to watch and your comments are spot on (as always).
I follow both of their channels and yours. To see all three of you guys on the same screen was great. Thank you internet and thank you for reacting to this video. 😂🤘
I would like to say first off that this was an awesome reaction to this song. I have been a huge fan of Leo for the past few years. I used to listen to Roxette back in the 90s. When I got the notification that Leo was doing this song I never clicked a video so fast. This cover made this grown man cry like a baby because of what song it is, and Leo was playing it. But, it also made me laugh at the same time, because of how goofy Leo is, and I love him for it. Leo is one of those guys that I would love to hang out with for just a day, and he would have me rolling with laughter, and he seems like a genuinely nice guy. One last thing I would like to say is that you made me want to go back and listen to the original song by Roxette.
My sister was sitting at an old friend's house one night drinking ridiculous amounts of wine when this song came on the radio. Her friend, who she has known since the early 70s and who never brags, suddenly says "I wrote this song!" He is an old friend and member of Roxette and the earlier band Gyllene Tider. He's this shy guy who never says a word but he knows how to write a pop song.
I got sent to this channel via the suggestions tab after having watched Leo's version. (I've been subscribed to him for a while now.) Loved your honest reaction and non bs manner. So I subscribed here too. I love this song from Leo, but it falls just short of his best for me. Sultans is great. Africa is great. -As you mentioned. Now I have to go back to Leo's to remind myself which one really touched me the most. Hard to decide, because many do touch so deeply.
Oh yeah, we got the Leo the crap out of it. Awsome version of this masterpiece from Roxette. And feel free to go back as much as you want to, always something you want to share with us. Loved it😀😀👍 looking forward to WAP tomorrow 😂😂😂
I love Violet's channel. Long time subscriber there. But my all time favorite Leo collab is with Rabea and Hannah. Their "Africa" is my most watched Leo video. The outtro is just beyond epic.
At first I didn't like it, but yes him doing a breakdown I feel like he shifted enough away from the original song to it become an actual "different song" and not just a streight of cover. So from there on I really liked it, and still payed homage to the original song. Ty for sharing your history with the song as always
Voilet, I love that you are commenting on these reactions. The best comment I say was the one where you said your hands were still covered in blood from recording the video.
I love your reactions. I have loved Leo for years. But that Rockin' Ass Cat in the outro took the cake for this video! LOL!! Thanks for another great video!

As a swede knowing Roxette from their start and knowing Marie's struggle watching all the interviews with her it was devastating to watch such a great singer such emotion in her voice Voilet is good but she (not any other) can give Marie justice in this song but this song both the original and this cover makes me very very emotional
