I just ordered one, I can't wait for a fountain that is easy to clean! My cat has been through 2 with the fiddly little fish tank pumps, which are awful to clean and break easily. I also love that this one is cordless!

Buster's funny. "I have to share? Aww, man..." Cats seem to prefer fresh, running water. My wife used to turn on the tap when she was in the B-room but then would forget to turn it off. We're in California USA & in the middle of a drought so it's not good to just let it run. I got on her about that and she would turn it off when she was done in the room. I found it running a few times and got on her about it & she swore she turned it off. We figured out that our male Ginger ( now 3 years old ) was turning it on. It's a round handle that needs to be turned left or right so we're not sure how he accomplished that trick. He doesn't do it as much now but every so often we find the faucet running. Cats... We talked about getting a fountain but haven't. We make sure they have fresh water & change it several times a day. Our cattle dog drinks from a re-circulating pond in the back yard so it isn't much of an issue for her. We keep the toilets closed. Yuk. I don't want any dog kisses after she's been drinking from the toilet. LOL
I can really recommend this fountain, too. I got one several months ago, and all of my 3 cats used it almost instantly and still love it. Even my Siamese boy - who very rarely used any of my previous fountains - is using it regularily now.
The obvious answer is that Buster gets his own fountain and the others get one to share. Except that Fresh likes to splash, so she should have her own too. Of course Princess Ada needs to have one that's adjusted lower and less scary, so buy three more. So Dexter gets one, but what about Luna? And the kittens? Guess you just need a dozen or so 😸
It was a very trying day in the Court of King Buster. He had to ring THREE times for his servant to bring the Royal Fountain. The refreshed King was looking forward to his afternoon nap, but was disturbed by interlopers, especially by Oaf Dexter who had the ill manners to slurp and place his paws in the Fountain! King Buster is a saintly and patient Ruler. 👑👑👑
He is a delight. I was introduced to him through his famous nieces and nephews. Buster was gentle, if seemingly nonplussed by the kittens, but now that they’ve moved on (except amazing Ada), we see that not so long ago he, too, was young and curious. One thing hasn’t changed: that big, beautiful snout!
poor Buddy not able to drink from his fountain! yes when you are in a multiple cat household you have to share everything! it looks like buddy is not the bast at sharing things! especially the clear boxes! he likes his transportation boxes!

I need to get one of these, it looks pretty cool and would fit nicely in my trash heap of a home :) I have a decent *different brand* filtered fountain but I feel like a new and maybe a bit bigger would be good. Even though there’s also third one in the cupboard, but I can’t find more filters for it. So i use if I need to quarantine a cat in I one room, like I had to do with Nemo 4 years ago. My oldest kitty didn’t like him at all, hissing and growling through the door and she couldn’t even eat near it at first. But they got used to each other in few days. Last summer when I got my Maine coon, Nemo adopted him in 5seconds flat, no need to quarantine 😅 Freya drinks water like my Osku, he also needs to use his paw (both to eat and drink, I guess his whiskers don’t like the edges of the bowl) to make sure the water is just right! 😂
Wow, what a neat water fountain. I have never heard of a Elfin fountain. Maybe it is only in Sweden? I had a kitty once who would only drink from a faucet. So, I would have to let drip a little for him. He would jump up on the sink board & paw at the faucet 😄 I bet he would have loved that Elfin fountain. Poor Uncle Buster didn't look too thrilled about having to share it :) Thanks for a great Friday video ❤
I have a similar one for my young MC. Sadly today it was leaking on the floor. Suspect it was overdue for a spring clean. Mine obviously a cheaper model😅. It plugs into the mains. Otherwise it has been great. They are good and I am going to look at the one in your video but I am in UK.love Buster and friends.
I've been on a quest for That One Fountain that doesn't make a noise that turns my kitties off. So far, without success. 😿 This one seems somewhat quiet, apart from a bit of "brrrr" sound? Would be interesting to hear if it stays like that long term.

Did you have to take away their other water sources to get them to drink from the fountain? I tried fountains with my cats and they didn’t like it at all but I was told if I took away the water bowls they will eventually drink out of the fountain.

I'm not sure. Just place it in an accessible and good place and keep it clean, I guess. Maybe some water fountains sound or look scary, I don't know

No, they just got used to it after a while. But I think it would feel a bit harsh to remove the other drinking options completely.
