Absolutely, I hate seeing cabovers with the dumb 250 inch wheelbases! Ugly!
Also love how both have steel wheels still, though Orwell has them up front. No drop visors either

@@Rob3et Lot of west coast trucks weren’t short but they weren’t super long either. And they had drom boxes & flatbeds to fill the frame

Got say seeing those COEs brings a lot of memories. My dad drove a Pete similar to Chad's Kwhopper. Spent a lot of time in 81& 82 picking up what load he could be I was the oldest and went with on school breaks and summer. Just to get see them makes feel like that kid again.

In my time, I have driven all of the big 4 manufacturers' cabovers, and still to this day, my all-time favorite is the Powerliner by Freightliner

That’s my second favorite, behind the 352 H model
I can remember in 90 when I started COEs were rapidly being outnumbered by hoods. I was lucky parents owned company I picked what i wanted to drive one of two COEs left .by 94 they had all conventional tractors,because drivers wanted hood trucks Rookie's would drive anything ,but experienced one's wanted hood trucks. I was so saddened when I got a new 389😂 and lost my COE Freightliner. I had to get used to not sitting on wheels. I changed everything. Turning slow in tight spots to backing, with 10 ft hanging passed my seat. I'm really into Wilson's Scania videos just because they are cabovers. safe travels God bless.

Much Respect for both guys just for not modifying your cabovers. Classic trucks like both cabovers or the 359/378/379 conventional Petes or the W900 from Kenworth don't needs customized crap. They are already beautiful the way they are. Original is the best, or, personally i like some Light modification without massive customization. It's nice to see two classics like these two trucks riding for work still In our times. 🔝 video

It is great to see a pair of nice looking older trucks. Shout out to the drivers for acting like humans instead of animals. These guys are behaving like we did back in the 1980's.

I seen Chad turn on his fog lights to tell you your clear. That is something that driver don't do enough for each other anymore. I try to teach my kids about that to when semis want to merge. Seeing you guys running togeather is awsome.
Good thing ya got Orwell shined up the other day. Both those trucks look great. My cousin was an owner/operator who ran his International Transtar cabover & flatbed hauling farm equipment that used to be built right here in my southeast corner of Wisconsin, until he retired.

Reason I watch (well, for Steve too) FSC is Orwell as it is. Sure, Green APU for function and big pipes look good, not ridiculous.

You brought a smile to my old face with this video from that December run. Thank you Steve. Although Chad's truck is new then the K-100 model Cab Over that my dad drove in 1981, I feel as though I'm on Cloud-9 after watching this video.

I started driving in 1985. The small private fleet I drove for had 20 brand new 85 K100 KW with big cam 350 Cummins. Those tractors were sweet rides and pulled heavy loads without breaking a sweat . After a few years some bean counter with the company decided to buy crappy COE freight shakers. What junk they were. Night and day difference with the N14 Cummins.
Man, I didn't know Chad was such a short dude!!! lol

Drove the old Pete and KW coe's back in the day in the 70's. Both had cat 1693's and all the creature comforts of the day. They were king of the road at that time. That was when trucking was trucking. Enjoy your videos. God bless and keep you safe. KEEP ON TRUCKING!!
I’d old school it with Cummins 1150 KTA . Enough power to pull any heavy load ! Some time in body n paint booth , Finishes off the package . Have a good one !
