    White balance to auto then back to manual with whatever auto says, brilliant idea.

      @@SamuelSotiega Great idea, wish i'd thought of it. All i've got to do in future is your tip, then drop a lut on top (most cases), and good to go. Could've done with this tip on my first night flight. Definately doing this every flight now. Cheers.

      cheers buddy. I actually did that already, although as part of promotin of my very own set of LUTs for the mini3. It might or might not be interesting to you, but here it goes ua-cam.com/video/2iti7V3hAAI/v-deo.html . I also have this other video about grading DCine from the Pocket 2, but the concepts are also 100% transfereable to the DCine from the mini 3. ua-cam.com/video/-habgNQ9-Ns/v-deo.html . I hope this helps, let me know otherwise!

    So far I'm using my drone primarily for photos. I seldom shoot video because I'm more interested in the photography side of things and therefore shoot JPG+RAW. When shooting in DCINE does this only affect the video leaving the photos alone or does it affect them in any way?

    • @SamuelSotiega
      @SamuelSotiega  Рік тому +1

      If you shoot RAW, you have no need for dcine. You keep all the info/data on the rsw format. Dcine is just a video color space profile to retain as much latitude on the image because vídeo recording at RAW resolution is simply put, madness. Plus the files sizes are outrageously massive, hence using a color space. Plus I doubt any DJI drone, whatever the model, can actually record video at raw resolution.

  • @YoungBlaze
    @YoungBlaze Рік тому +1

    Tip and Note
    "If you use Master shots it will default to 30frames and the color profile will be AUTO & NORMAL , no 10bit

      You’re right on the money. I was referring to the auto tracking and POV and similar and slipped mastershots in there. Well spotted and corrected!

  • @Atontechbrokers
    @Atontechbrokers Рік тому

    I thought the Mini 3 doesn't have POV Tracking Mode. The Mini 3 Pro does, but the Mini standard doesn't, right?

    • @SamuelSotiega
      @SamuelSotiega  Рік тому +1

      You are right. I actually have a video in a couple of weeks going through the differences and why I believe the mini 3 is not worth it and why the pro version is worth the extra investment…

    Hey Samual, I'm gonna assume you're either a semi-pro or a pro photographer? Maybe not full time. You know way too much for a regular hobbyist. I'm a semi-pro Canon user, not my day job. You could def. be a teacher. What? You're an IRS agent!!! LOL! Great video BTW!

      I have directed commercials and even run a rental company for over a decade. I have used every camera you can think of, high end, mid and low end. I have used from the most expensive master primes and cooke lenses to the cheapest old manual Nikon lenses, and everything in between. I have been camera op, camera assist, logistics manager, producer and more roles I can mention or remember. I know a few things more than the average person, but I am humble enough to know that I am also learning everyday. Hopefully the channel grows so I can share my knowledge and also have some fun along the way. I will soon be doing a 3 month review of the mini3 which I hope everyone will enjoy, stay tuned! My next video is about a new gimbal, which you might also find interesting….

    How to get permission to fly in London restricted areas?

    • @SamuelSotiega
      @SamuelSotiega  Рік тому +1

      You need to submit a request through here nsf.nats.aero/drones-and-model-aircraft/ and wait for their response. Give it 3-5 days or even a week. Patience is key. If granted, you will need to inform the police and if you fly over the Thames river, you need to also inform the port authoristy adn submit a risk assesment. www.pla.co.uk/Safety/Use-of-drones/unmanned-aerial-vehicles-UAVs

    • @SamuelSotiega
      @SamuelSotiega  Рік тому +1

      You can download risk assestment templates online. Usually ports needs to be informed at least 3 days in advance and if you don't hear from them it means you are good to go You still need to get ok from NATS, ports only deals with flying a drone over the Thames River, not the actual restricted air space). If you ever come across the police wheil filming, they will ask you to provide proof of NATS authorisation adn Ports submission so have them on hand, and it will be a quick and easy meet. Once you do this once or twice and you learn the workflow, it will be second nature. It's all about preparation.

    • @SamuelSotiega
      @SamuelSotiega  Рік тому

      it goes without saying that you will need to have an insurance in place,. I recommend drone cover. Good luck!

    • @DzafarSadik
      @DzafarSadik Рік тому

      @@SamuelSotiega I wasn't aware that it's possible to do this legally. Thank you! :)

    • @SamuelSotiega
      @SamuelSotiega  Рік тому

      @@DzafarSadik Of course it is!! And once you get the hang of it, it is straight forward. But you really need to get NATS permission, otherwise you risk a heavy fine or worse! Some areas in London's airspace are very, very restricted, and some are even military air space, like flying over the MI6 building is a big no, no, as it is military and I don't even know if you'll ever get permission for that so use common sense and avoid tricky spots.

      I didn’t tell you that you are doing anything wrong. The thumbnail can say pigs can fly, only you decide if you believe that statement is true or not based on your life experience and perceptions of the world around you. If your experience flying drones tells you that you are doing it right, why you even bother. Trust me, the thumbnail is not targeting you as a viewer but many others for whom the mini3 is their first drone. But hey, don’t sweat, this wording issue you have means nothing when you compare it to the big problems in the world and in life that truly deserve attention!! ☺️
