When a work done on a body changes both potential and kinetic energy, we take work done = total change in mechanical enrgy ( in the absense of resistance)

Velocity and volume are correlated jitni volume hogi utni hi velocity se fluid flow karega isliye sir ne velocity ko replace karke volume liya also you can understand this from rate of flow that is velocity per unit time or volume flow per unit time 😊 hope you got it.

It can be applied to real fluids by taking frictional forces and balancing head losses.
