Gosh it is so refreshing to see someone actually happy about their grading submissions coming in at an 8 or a 9.5 or even a 5. Too many poketubers complain about 9.5 because 10 is the big money maker. It's always about the money and never the card or the love of the hobby and it just gets exhausting to watch all that blatant consumerism for the sake of consumerism. Maybe thats why your duel masters vid popped off! Its refreshing to see someone enjoying cards like we all should and used to back when we were all kids
Since watching your original video I went on a collecting spree and almost have the first four English sets completed thank you for reigniting my love for this card game and bringing back a piece of my childhood that I forgot about. I opened about 90 base set packs but was unable to get an astrocomet dragon and a thorny mandra so will have to buy those secondhand along with a couple rares but it’s so cool to have a majority of the collection be from fresh packs and in fantastic condition. Would love more duel master content from you! :)
I remember getting a ton of Duel Masters cards instead of Yu-Gi-Oh because my grandparents didn't understand the difference. I still loved them and learned to play, but never got to play and inevitably losing them all. Still, I love to see these underrated cards being opened and preserved decades later.

Was watching this while playing Metoid prime federation force, and that ome card looking like a Metroid prime boss caught my attention. Love the focus on the cards and not money as always. Especially pointing out how the difference between a 9.5 and 10 is minimal and shouldn't have such a difference in worth.

Great video. Most definitely a fan of Dual Masters anime & card game. Yu should also look into Future card Buddy fight tcg cards & Card Fight Vanguard tcg cards as well. I would like to see & hear what's your thoughts on them
Casually considering getting my DM collection appraised. Ive inspected PSA and CGC databases to get a generic value for certain cards. It had most of your CGC ratings before I finished the video. Id be the weird one to get a 10 on a Deadly Fighter Braid Claw to be different lol

I don't know why this game feels more in universe then Yu-Gi-Oh does. I've heard that the Japanese Yu-Gi-Oh cards are better at organizing the information on the cards.
Yeah I played Duel Masters when I was a kid and some of my friends didn't have a lot of yugioh cards to play with. I was 10 years old in 2002, and in my city of Nashville TN none of the kids played pokemon or MTG; it was exclusively Yugioh. So when Duel Masters came out it felt like like huge new game with all these rules nobody wanted to learn, so the game never really took off in my area except for me and my best friend at the time; and we would duel all the time. He ran a red deck with the Bolshock and I ran a Black deck, but I forgot what the strongest card I had in that deck; but it was pretty good in our duels. I wouldn't mind collecting a master set of the english cards considering how limited they are.
Also; I dont like CGC. I got a Pristine 10 Blue Eyes White Dragon back from them; and it ALSO had a tiny speck of white paper trapped inside of the slab. It seems like very shoddy QC work and makes me never want to deal with CGC again. There's no excuse for this to pass their quality testing; you never see a PSA card with bits of paper inside.
