I am total death metal but Ren's music reaches everyone. Not a rap fan but his is brilliant. His words are like none other. He pulls what we all struggle with and puts it into perfect phrases. A true genius!

'Soul in a bowl' is a very specific reference to Brighton - Gordon Ramsey helped a US style restaurant called Momma Cherie's, and came up with a concept called 'Soul in a Bowl' for their menu.

Agree 100% with people should be allowed to enjoy what they like and how much melanin is in your skin shouldn't be a factor in what you like. So many people go through their life with their hearts and minds closed...both are like parachutes and only function when wide open.

Ren comes from Brighton, a seaside town on the south coast of Britain, he's huge there and yes he does do impromptu performances on the seafront "I teach on the beach" , there's a wonderful live audience version of the tale of jenny and screech you should check out, the audience was HUGE , i have no idea if the city came to a standstill because of all the and he only did the one song but man it was clear that art was on display that night.
He’s in Canada at a rehabilitation center to get treatment for his autoimmune disease and to heal from the damage done to his body after years of misdiagnosis. He’s getting daily IVs and needs many surgeries. Please see his channel for information to his go fund me to show love and support for all the free music and soul food this man has given to all of us freely. He needs us and every dollar will help him get that much closer to a healthy body and in return he has promised to keep giving us more of what we need…more REN!!!

Ren has been very ill for many years and was misdiagnosed for about 10 years. He was finally diagnosed with Lyme disease. He is currently in Canada getting treatment
