Ok, so I just had a *small* idea for more of these challenges. When you have one of these episodes, if either of you is missing a piece (armor or weapon) each can choose one rune item for a missing slot, you cannot upgrade a slot, but if you are sitting there with only a helm and a shield, you can pick a rune scimmy. The RNG is obviously very fickle, so this way, even if one (or both) of you have trash luck, you can at least have one item.
When they were running dry, they should have played C Engineers voice. "Nothing, nothing.... and nothing" lmao
