    I've had the same guitar for 30 years and it's still one of my favourites. Super comfortable to play and stable. Only upgraded it with Seymour Duncan JB pickups.
    Mine's neck has aged incredibly over time.

    I have a fotoflame version of the same guitar. It has been modified with gotoh machines, upgraded German FR, JB at the bridge and a Obsidian Wire Harness. It is my main guitar and plays as well as any. Great instrument.

      No problem, happy to have helped in any way possible! I gave up trying to use the Floyd Rose, I'm afraid to break something as the guitar is not mine and I am not sure of the use it had beforehand so I try not to use it as most as possible haha

    I know someone who owns a reddish washburn guitar that was hit by a BULLET. A friend of him worked at some police department and his gun wasnt working "ok" . One bullet hit the guitar.. no one got hurt. Several bullets hit the walls and floor. there were two persons at that time. No one got a scratch.
    It was a miracle beyond any means and the funny thing is that he still uses that broken guitar through Amplitube and it sounds amazing. With digital anything sounds great.

    I bought one in 1985. Japanese Fender Strat with Floyd Rose. Cost me £324 new, from dealer. Was £20 less than the other USA ones at the time. It had SSS pickups. Was superb. Baby on way forced sale.

    I've got the red foto-flame one. Had a friend who is better at guitar than I am play it at a show. I just wanted one song but he liked it so much that he did the entire set. He tried and it handled. I have since changed pickguard, pots and switch. Had it about 20 years now. Still love it.

      those things crack like hell. and they stick out and can scratch you. Mine is naturally reliced over time. has a real nice look to the neck. looked cool with the busted plastic film but I had mine refinished with nitro. I'm hoping the finish catches up to the relic of the neck. had it since the 90s. oh yeah and I broke the floyd rose 2 in the 90s as well. replaced that one very early on. one of the saddles just snapped in half.

    I like Strats. And Floyd rose. It’s like riding a wild bull. But Never heard of that one or seen it in my life. I would have thought it was a fake. But had a Japanese squire from back then that I liked better than a lot of the American strat at that time. They make a way better guitar now a days for sure back in the late 80s and early 90s Ibanez was where it was at. And for a lot cheaper it seemed like.

    I have one of these in grey and I've always wondered whether it was actually Fender or squire. Unfortunately the paint is pealing off around the floyd rose in a strange way almost like it's a veneer. It seems to have shrunk and pulled away from the wood. Otherwise it's still a nice guitar.

    • @BernardoB
      @BernardoB  Рік тому

      If it's one of the "foto flame" or however it is called that totally makes sense, lots of online reports on that, it's a finish they made in the Japanese models at the time. But I think it was mostly applied to "flame tops" which then again, makes it weird lol
