It's beautiful, never had the chance to see them or live in their era, but looking at many pics I end up fascinated by how they shined from the 70's to 00's NYC skyline and could be seen from the other boroughs/cities.
In addition the World Trade Center complex is so large (at sixteen acres) that it happens to have its own ZIP Code that was separate from the ZIP Code of Manhattan.
The Twin Towers is a marvel of modern Architecture that we lost to time. Not only was it massive but there was a lot of detail in it's structure, that people took for granted back in the day. It's a good thing the spear survived and is back at ground zero again, cause it's what's left over of the physical manifestation of what the buildings meant to America, and the western world. "Peace through trade"
What would’ve been a cool addition is if you made a tight rope that went across both of the towers to pay homage to Petik, the man that tightroped across the towers.
I really love the accuracy, though. He recreated all of this with just a few references, just so we can marvel at what this place used to be. I'm surprised the tower design wasn't too complex, but I think that makes it look more formal and powerful, to be honest. It really is a great build.
The effort put into a remake of such a historic landmark in a blocky video game is unbelievable. I’m really impressed with how this looked! This gets a 10 out of 10 from me.

Six died. -There was a plaza to memorialize the six who died, Unfortunately, the plaza was destroyed in 9/11, and the six names are now mixed with the 9/11 victims, both on the rim of one of the memorial fountains and in the museum.

I remember back in the days of Minecraft Classic, mid 2011. I’m pretty sure I was the first person crazy enough to build the entire Trade Center complex in 1:1 scale, complete with outbuildings, shopping mall, subway station, and interiors. You all forgot that the office that was directly struck by the “plane” that hit the pentagon was on of two places that had the documents about the 3 trillion dollars that disappeared the day before. The other place was wtc7 which got hit as long with the other wtc

History buff here! The reason why there was a hotel at the WTC complex was because it was a tourist attraction. it was also a government building that had government agencies in them like USPS, restaurants etc business owners come to visit their branch that was in the building, tourist stayed because it was a convenient location, lawyers stayed because they had legal meetings in the building the twin towers were literally a mini city there’s nothing that wasn’t in them that’s why the hotel was around.

There was a hotel at the wtc because it was a massive tourist attraction. There was a hotel and there was a mall underground. There were also restaurants and tourist attractions within the towers themselves, famously the windows on the world restaurant at the top of the north tower and the vista point on the roof of the south tower. On average the wtc could support over 150,000 people in the buildings at once
It's still hard to believe the towers are gone. It still hurts. I remember being a young engineer for Ameritech and we watched every horrific event as it happened. So many civilians, police officers and firemen died that day. No matter what walk of life you're from, be thankful for your freedoms, our republic and democracy. These blessings are very fragile and can be easy to lose.
This is a really mind-blowing building! As you fly around and place those blocks and making an amazing structure! Keep up the grind, and don't let yourself crash!

The hotel was there because the World Trade Center was always going to be a landmark and a tourist attraction, and because many if not most of the companies had a national or international presence so it served people attending meetings and business trips at the WTC too. The buildings meant a lot to people, some so much that they even had their weddings there.

Fun fact: a lawyer was staying in the Marriott hotel when the attacks happened. He was in the South tower when it collapsed, and managed to escape to the hotel. From there, he tried to evacuate through the lobby of the North tower, when it too started to collapse. Correct me if Im wrong, but he is the only credited person to have survived the collapses of both towers. Edit: 1 of a few, I believe 14

brother his version is actually 1:1, if we take into consideration that 1 block of minecraft corresponds to 1 real meter the facade comes out of 64 blocks or 64 meters as in the real twin towers, it is obvious that if he does every trident at a distance of 3 blocks come out 14, but if you move them 2 blocks away, 19 tridents come out perfectly like in reality.

The design of the old complex has always captivated my brain, and its a shame that there is none of it left for us to see. I visited Ground Zero back in 2015, and a lot of the new complex was still under construction. Today its mostly complete, but two buildings have yet to rise into the sky. Hopefully someday soon, they will escape development hell and become apart of the New York Skyline. I would love to see a build of the new site after 2 World Trade Center's construction resumes and the design is set in stone. Nice quality build, well done.

What’s wrong?
There was a hotel at the wtc because it was a massive tourist attraction. There was a hotel and there was a mall underground. There were also restaurants and tourist attractions within the towers themselves, famously the windows on the world restaurant at the top of the north tower and the vista point on the roof of the south tower.
On average the wtc could support over 150,000 people in the buildings at once

It's still hard to believe the towers are gone. It still hurts. I remember being a young engineer for Ameritech and we watched every horrific event as it happened. So many civilians, police officers and firemen died that day. No matter what walk of life you're from, be thankful for your freedoms, our republic and democracy. These blessings are very fragile and can be easy to lose.

The hotel was there because the World Trade Center was always going to be a landmark and a tourist attraction, and because many if not most of the companies had a national or international presence so it served people attending meetings and business trips at the WTC too.
The buildings meant a lot to people, some so much that they even had their weddings there.

Plane and simple, this build blew up all expectations!
Fun fact: a lawyer was staying in the Marriott hotel when the attacks happened. He was in the South tower when it collapsed, and managed to escape to the hotel. From there, he tried to evacuate through the lobby of the North tower, when it too started to collapse. Correct me if Im wrong, but he is the only credited person to have survived the collapses of both towers.

me as a WTC Minecraft builder I have to say this is pretty nice of course I build 1:1 versions cuz I have a lot of time on my hand but this is a very nice 14 trident build.
brother his version is actually 1:1, if we take into consideration that 1 block of minecraft corresponds to 1 real meter the facade comes out of 64 blocks or 64 meters as in the real twin towers, it is obvious that if he does every trident at a distance of 3 blocks come out 14, but if you move them 2 blocks away, 19 tridents come out perfectly like in reality.

And fun fact: the planes weren't just aimed at the towers, they were aimed also at the White House and the Pentagon.
The one that hit the pentagon happened to hit a recently reinforced side of the building and the one aimed at the white house was taken back and crashed into a field
it's unclear which location flight 93 was precisely going to crash into. apparently, according to recovered flight data from the plane, it was most likely headed for the U.S. capitol, not the white house.

The design of the old complex has always captivated my brain, and its a shame that there is none of it left for us to see.
I visited Ground Zero back in 2015, and a lot of the new complex was still under construction. Today its mostly complete, but two buildings have yet to rise into the sky. Hopefully someday soon, they will escape development hell and become apart of the New York Skyline.
I would love to see a build of the new site after 2 World Trade Center's construction resumes and the design is set in stone.
