  • Bought and paid for a month ago, the new 9U 56hp case has finally arrived, and been pretty much filled with tape, microsound and sound-mangling gear. I must confess that it was not until I had nearly finished loading it up that I realised just how ‘black panel’ it is. If I cared that much I could easily buy a black 2hp Loop (having two wouldn’t be a problem), but sourcing a black panel Phonogene at this late stage would be akin to finding a working QMMG in a skip: it’s not going to happen. I’ll probably swap out the Batumi (lower left) and Error Instruments Broken Tape (lower right) for the black panel Tides clone I have- but not until I buy more Knurlies,as I have completely run out. It happens. That’s four tins now.
Anyway, this is a simple Rings snippet played by Nebulae; nasty overtones supplied by Monsoon in ‘spectral madness’ mode. Sorry for the portrait mode, and for the blurriness- I had to resort to a clip-on wide-angle lens, and you get what you pay for with optics. Next time there’ll be a tripod, and more distance.
Like and subscribe, good people, spread the word and stick around- it will get more melodic in due course. Next task is to try to put together a twelve- to fifteen-minute set for next month’s Norwich EMOM- a drone isn’t going to cut it there.
    Thanks for watching!
