The AFF instructors are the rescue swimmers in the Coast Guard. Tough, brave, and willing to risk serious bodily injury just to teach skydiving. I salute all AFF instructors.
Michael Wadkins taught my Coach, SL/I, and AFF/I ratings. That man knows the SIM like the back of his hand and is the best horrible student in the sky. He's the best at what he does!
That's rad. I wish I would have found this sport in my 30s but then again it might not have worked out so well! Coaching looks fun and incredibly intense.
Just to be clear for our wuffo friends, this is a training course not for student skydivers but for jumpmaster candidates. It's to teach them how to handle an out of control student. In these videos, the "student" is an instructor in the course.
Looks like an absolute fuckin brawl. But a pretty accurate representation of what my first 6 or 7 attempts at cat D1 were probably like for my instructors lol
I figured out what this was after reading the comments lmao. I'm looking at these like, dude def dropped his elbow on purpose and just spun tf out haha. "Goon falling"
I didn't realise these were instructors instead of just some terrible AFFer(s). I just thought the instructors just threw these guys out with no instructions or something
I understand that these are instructors training AFF instructor candidates... Saw that a lot of them went into a flat spin, like several rotations a seconds. That's what happened to me during my first few assisted free falls. Must've had my body torques like a propeller. I suppose the instructor has to approach carefully to avoid getting kicked in the head!
Michael uses dummy pull handles so you can pull for him but not actually dump him out. And you win a big smile, if you can give it back to him on the ground!
These are trained instructors looking acting like terrible students in order to help train a group of new AFF instructors. Michael Wadkins is the best worst student there is.
The "students" in this video are instructor examiners. Their job is to be the worst students ever so the people they are training are ready for whatever.

Thank you! We go through some ridiculous stuff to ensure newbies are as safe as possible.

He and his company are solid.
@@BurninatorTheTrogdor I didn't make my first jump until I was 43 and I plan on jumping until they put me back in diapers.
That’s who I got my AFFi and Ti ratings with and I couldn’t recommend them any more. Best in the business.

In all of them?
Not gonna lie, I’d love to be the “student” in these jumps. He looks like he’s having a blast cannonballing on exit 😂
Great camera awareness for such crappy students 😜
Congrats to the new AFFIs, i look forward to throwing students out with you!
4:06 "Get outta here dude, I'm about to pull!"
That’s exactly what was happening there.
Perfect song!

"Great!"👍
Sheesh!!!!.... I had flash backs of my AFF days
I might have beans on toast later.
I'm thankful I did rapps. Aff is nuts
Total respect

Very nice Vid.
that is some tough instruction
What did the instructor do incorrectly per Michael, at 1:03?
Letting go of the student instead of keeping hold of them is my guess.
@3:33 is that white string a ripped loose strand from some label?
It's a ripped pull up cord the instructor used for his leg straps.

Earning that money 😂
What's flying away at 00:36?
A “cookie” that represents the pilot chute.

Training
These guys passed? Practice makes perfect I guess
That dude needs to quit, aint for him... He's gonna kill someone on the ground when he BURNS in! lol

@@fulltown8183 Nobody reads man you know this. haha
@@BurninatorTheTrogdor Well it should have been written in the video description honestly ;)
Isto é um certificado de quê? De alunos mais estúpidos de todos os tempos? A sorte deles é que os instrutores são excelentes. 😔

@@fulltown8183 Ahhh! Tudo é uma questão de contexto. Bom "ensaio". Treinamento difícil, prática fácil. 👏🏽
To each their own, but the music ruins the video for me.
