I just played 8 in game hours and got to level ten. Each of my customers would leave adding 150-250 reputation. There was a boosting factor too when a famous person visits, if your tavern is running smoothly you can get 350-450 reputation points per customer. Perhaps they changed it after your review!
I think it's defintely changed since I made this review, like there was no famous people when I was playing. So this is amazing to hear and defintely demonstrates that the development team are making significant changes and doing what they need to, to ensure this game is an absolutely proper slapper.
Totally agree with you on the levelling issue, however I implore you to play further. The staff and the magic broom make the game so much more chill, and with the new introduction of construction which allows you to basically overhaul the entire tavern + make your rented rooms as you like them, the game becomes really good
Its how a tavern back in those days would run. How they would of gained reputation. What they had to use and what they would earn. Its meant to be a grinding type game, unlike every other game where you get to level 10 in 5 hours of playing.
Yupp, people tend to forget that. Of course, some people need more headsup to be able to prevent negative reputation, but it should still be there and be unforgiving. If you do a shitty job, then you will get a shitty reputation.
@@Astral-Projector2389 100% people forget they actually need to work to see results. As soon as i got to rep 6 and got staff. My profits came fast and i was able to focus of selling higher stock while the staff ran the bar. Increasing my income by 3x
This is an excellent review, well balanced and informative. I’ve been following this game for quite a while but haven’t bought it for exactly the reasons you highlighted. The tedious grind, the lack of bar staff early game and frankly, I can’t comprehend why a tavern keeper would be producing his own cups, trestles and deco items, surely a local carpenter would do that? I would like to grow crops for my kitchen and have hens and perhaps later, pigs rather like Medieval Dynasty does but woodworking doesn’t make sense to me!
Appreciate this review so much! Was about to grab it and checked out your review. Will keep it on my wishlist for the future but I'll hold off until it's improved
It seems to have developed a bit since this review. More balanced and better estherics. Still a few small nitpicks, but I'm loving it. However, I would love being able to play as my non-huma6dnd character. How about playing an orc in a region where not everyone trusts orcs? What of the richer your tavern becomes, the more monsters and bandits harass the area. So you need your reputation to attract more adventurers to be keep the area safe. What if you're tavern could get a quest board, where you could pay adventurers to clear out monsters. Or villagers could pay you to hang up quests? Okay, just brainstorming, but it'd be a really cool twist in perspective to the whole adventurer story.
Just installed yesterday. 17hrs straight in the game I unlocked the cheese making which is lvl 12. Hehe. The AI automation is really a heaven sent. Also the Room for rent is so cool
I played this game in version 1.0, I must say that the co-op feature speeds up the game by a ton. My boyfriend and I were able to get to level 10 in only a few days as we both split up tasks of minding the tavern and collecting resources. It’s a fun game but playing alone would be cumbersome as at some point you can have too many notifications of angry customers which you would then have to run back to the tavern to resolve as the staff you hire dosent handle them
Good review! I think I'll just wait a bit more. In the Early Access box they say they want to add a lot more stuff in the future (like more recipes for drinks, more recipes for food but also good things like a story, a world to explore and magic)
It'd be cool if you could go to a different location like diner dash or cake mania when you level up a certain amount. At least another reason to keep playing. I do love the choices, agree that the skill trees are overly unnecessary. Leveling up is slow but overall the game is still like 👍 👌 cant wait to see how they polish it further and I can't wait for them to add more. I wanted a game like this for awhile, I wish there were different kind if quests tho too. Or they add magic and adventurers needing a healing potion crafted and they can order some. It's got great potential honestly
Saying this is a ripoff of Graveyard Keeper is a bit like calling Nukie a ripoff of Mac and Me instead of both those movies being ripoffs of E.T. This is first and foremost a ripoff of Stardew Valley and to say otherwise comes across as flippant.
Good review, but I just want to say 'It's' means 'It is', so your title currently says 'On it is way to excellency'. You should use 'Its' with no apostrophe. Usually adding 's indicates a possessive (i.e. Michael's House) but Its and Whose are both exceptions.
Thanks so much, I’ve never heard of those of games, but I gave them a search and they seem like my vibe. So I might make a video for them. Good suggestion
While yeah, it looks like graveyard keeper functionally, that UI is ripped right from Stardew Valley
Yes. Agreed. Almost exactly like stardew valley. I had to look again because I thought SV came out with an update.

i hope this comes to switch eventually, i would love to play it

Game is pretty good but it lacks a good story and a bigger world to explore. The game is still developing so there is hope.

if it rips anything off its stardew valley, look at the character creator and tell me its not fkin stardew valley lol

Nice review! Thanks - I'll not get the game then. :)

Graveyard keeper looks sooooooo muuuuuuch betttttterrrr. It's unreal how good that game looks. But it's super tedious.
your tag lines in the video, on the bottom like the categoeis, you spelledmajor to mjaor , great video
Wow this is such a good review. Keep it up man

Graveyard keeper? It’s literally stardew valley, but I’m not mad haha
funnily enough i like this way more than graveyard keeper, i just cant get into GK
Interesting review I might not like the excessive grind
can you make a review like this for dinkium and black skylands? thanks!
Thanks so much, I’ve never heard of those of games, but I gave them a search and they seem like my vibe. So I might make a video for them. Good suggestion

Will this game come to consoles at all??
Hard to say - publishing games for consoles for indie developers is total ass.
Google that if you want to know why ;-)
copy past ?
This game is great! but tedious and boring and throws too many useless items at ya...
Stockholm?
