- Argyle’s first trip to the capital this season proved to be a night to forget, as the ten-man Greens went down to a 5-1 defeat.
Debutant Jeserun Rak-Sakyo scored early for the hosts, the task got harder when Jayden Stockley added a penalty four minutes before the break, James Wilson dismissed for a handball in the process, and it became impossible when Sean Clare found the top corner on the half-time whistle.
Morgan Whittaker provided some cheer with a super solo effort but the Addicks delivered late pain with strikes from Charlie Kirk and Miles Leaburn.

Charlton fan here. I thought the red was a bit much.
I thought it was double jeopardy- you can't get a red and a penalty as that is being punished twice? A yellow and a Penalty surely?
No chance he stopped A goal so it’s a red
@@owen6768 accidental handball
@@lukewitts4358 no still a red
@@lukewitts4358 Okay but it was still a red it stop a goal
I watch 5he game and I was singing all day for argyle
Stick to 5-3-2 didn’t need to change much from last season except fine tuning our squad, don’t fix what isn’t broken
surprising result as i though plymouth argyle was a good team at this level
Let's be honest...we are marking time with schuey, same old defeats and lacklustre performances away from home park, mid table at best
Automatic red. Ref had no choice as it prevented a certain goal.
wheyyyy
I love football ⚽️
There is definitely quality in your Plymouth team you played well first half even though we were 3 up, second half you dropped off and we were all over you
Some achievement that, mate. All over us when we're 3-0 down and a man down. What did you expect?
I remember this night well and did genuinely think we were in the game until it got to 4-1.
Very surprised you finished as low as you did this season as you looked a level above this night
@@Steve_C-vn6vf I remember this night and thinking that we really were something this season, definitely false hope as the transfer window ended horribly now we’re in limbo
Passing time has made me more reasonable. In the past, I might have been baying for handball, too; now, I don't believe it was intentional.
Pleased about the victory, but it's not, now, how I'd like help to win a game.
Red was given because the ball was going in. Seems harsh but that's the rule and there no way that was accidental.
The red card was a harsh IMO
deliberate handball to prevent a goal, red card for sure, no other possible outcome
This is not argyle Schumacher has turned argyle into a team like Tottenham who can beat Man City and big clubs but loose to mid table and teams similar to argyles quality in fact sometimes even small teams get him out
I can't defend Argyle but like Tottenham? Harsh to say the least.
@@misterocain nah I’m a Liverpool fan
@@misterocain but mainly argyke
Argyle*
Pahahahahaha Plymouth I'm sorry but can't help laughing when you got absolutely hammered again🤣
@DanMolts Plymouth got stuffed 6 - 0 at home by Charlton last season and 5 - 1 away this season. I assume that is what he means.
Errr no we lost 2-0 last season and won 1-0 get ur facts right if your going to complain lad
Lads I think we have a Exeter fan here..
Exit-er shitty fans obsessed with Argyle
It's going to be a long old season
I get trying to play it on the deck and break the press that way, but lads come on!!!
Really poor decision making by Randall and Macca for the first 2.
Argyle were appalling AGAIN away from home. Just not good enough a bloody disgrace in fact. the team should reimburse all of us for travelling that far on a Tues evening?
I cannot believe it was the same lads that tore both the Boro and Barnsley apart at home?
To be fair Charlton look a very good team this season.
How did he hand ball it on purpose..VAR would of saved him there 👎🏻⚽️
Sorry mate it wouldn’t have, it was going in
@@george_CAFC23 it was defo a penalty but I think a red is a bit harsh
Joke sending off, best of the goals scored by Plymouth. Forget the result move on. Some comments on here are a total overreaction.
Mate he stoped the ball from going in with his hand. Argyle fan
Best of the goals was clearly Sean Clare's. As for the penalty? Not even debatable, he raised his arm to make himself big and in the process stopped a goalbound shot. The ref had no choice.
