Finally. Someone doing tutorials who knows what they are talking about and doesn't just try to explain things as they randomly happen while they wander around clicking on stuff.
Watched this over a year ago, and came back again for a refresher. By far the best road guide (especially the first half) available on UA-cam. Keep making videos! You're easy to understand, concise and informative.
Most SimCity tutorial video on youtube are officious, obnoxious, and unnecessarily long. Thank you SOOO much for making videos that are actually helpful and succinct. Subscribed
Just wanted to pop in and say I've looking around and this is by far the best no-nonsense guide to roads and zone density I found. Keep up the good work!
Great and very helpful video. I haven't played Sim City since Sim City 2000. Guides like this are a great help getting me back up to speed on all the new tricks you can do to make some awesome cities.
WOW...Finally someone finally posted up a worthwhile video about the game. Some extra steps you took however you can have a very clean traffic less town...Thank you..
I enjoyed it... The music was great and u gave me more info on roads than I needed but it was with it cause now I can build cool designs... I say great video!!
@@cheshiresauce same here guys, I did reach out to Zach on Twitter about a year ago, short response but this ship has sailed unfortunally. Many many great long hours of playing this, alone and with friends and totally loving it. It changed my life in 2013. hbu??
In the beginning you need to zone tons of commercial and industry. Then you gotta upgrade roads to high density. Once all that's done then profits will start to roll in. Make sure to pay off any loans you have then the rest is profits for you to build from. Once money starts coming in then start building up NOT OUT!. Hope this helps.
Great video, especially for your first---your pacing is fantastic for a tutorial video; I find most drag on for far too long. I learned a lot and my OCD thanks you :)
Subbed, great video. Looking forward to seeing how to get the correct proportion between the zones. My Sim's just want a shit ton of industrial and then complain when there isn't enough workers. :)
Actually logged into youtube, something I rarely do, to say nice video. Keep posting them and linking them to r/simcity so I'll see them! thanks for the awesome tips.
Subscribed! Well done, i would keep everything the same. The length, information and pace of the video is perfect. Keep doing videos of hot topics like traffic, economy, casinos, tourism and different wealth grades and you'll be very popular!
Dude! Great tutorial! I learned more in your 5:50 video than I have in hours of gameplay and other videos that just show people playing zzzz. Really well done, thanx!
Thank you for this informative video. Like leiloca said "Short, well spoken, direct, objective, illustrative." I look forward to your upcoming videos. For your next video can you discuss upgrading road when your city is growing? Currently, I start out with avenues so I do not have to redesign my city when I get larger.
Thanks for the video, definitely taught me some tricks. Looking forward to the zoning management video! Right now, I'm basically just putting down whatever I feel like (more residential/industrial than commercial) and I'm not exactly sure if that's correct.
if you build a 90 degree angled avenue left-turn (or right) and want to place medium density roads paralel to them at the inside, start at the third light post
Fantastic, very descriptive and clear, the only thing I'd fix is the "teachs" which is actually "teaches" :P but I'm sure you just made a typing mistake. Amazing work and thanks for the tips!
That was helpful, thanks for the tips! I'd like to know and see what the most efficient way to handle roads near cliffs and/or shorelines are (is it better to run the road right up against the edge or leave space to have zones against the edge of the cliff/shoreline, and if that's the case, how do you know how much space to leave when laying your road?)

Short, well spoken, direct, objective, illustrative. Can't ask much more from a tutoarial video. Thank you sir.
That 90 degree fix would have solved many of my cities traffic problems. Thanks for the tip, and i'm looking forward to your future simcity vids.
Great and very helpful video. I haven't played Sim City since Sim City 2000. Guides like this are a great help getting me back up to speed on all the new tricks you can do to make some awesome cities.
Zhatt, I love your Simcity tutorials! Now I'm binge watching all of them as quickly as I can! Keep them coming.
By far the most useful video I've seen. And I must have seen dozens by now. Thank you so much!
I'm not usually a fan of artsy road design, but those have some clear benefits.
WOW...Finally someone finally posted up a worthwhile video about the game. Some extra steps you took however you can have a very clean traffic less town...Thank you..
I've watched many "Let's Play" videos since the Closed Betas, and this, by far, has been the most informative! Great work.
Good stuff. Was looking for a refresher since I haven't played in a while
God forbid they actually make these tools more easy to make. Thank you for the help. I hope to see more.
I enjoyed it... The music was great and u gave me more info on roads than I needed but it was with it cause now I can build cool designs... I say great video!!
