Really great footage of my favourite place on earth. I know it's daunting and you guys were first-timers, but Mana Pools' magic quadruples once you start walking around. If you are not comfortable doing so on your own, get a ranger from reception to accompany you. You will see and experience so much more of this special place that way...something to keep in mind for next time.
I have watched a few videos on Mana Pools and every perspective is magical. Your choice of words in trying to describe your experience was just world class.
This looks amazing. I think you guys are way braver than I would be, sitting outside in the dark with hippos all around! And then being prepared to walk 40m in the pitch dark, with lions roaring in the background... 😳😨😱
Wonderful! You are an impressive fire maker! Don't ever shower at night too risky. I think your best video yet - great relaxed style! Except am missing your regular snake clip.😀
An EPIC video Mr and Mrs TG!!! They just keep getting better. So reflecting on the Zim exxperience, is there a better entry point next time with less hassle?
Thanks! If you drive through Botswana then entry through the Kazungula border post is much easier. It's a longer drive though and of course then you also have to do multiple border crossings. I think Beitbridge is still quicker, just frustrating.
We were mostly in remote areas so we carried our meat with, frozen. You can get meat and vegetables in all significant towns. You will find South African brand supermarkets quite often (e.g. Pick n Pay etc). Once you're out of major towns then it can be difficult for both meat and vegetables.
Hippos are the friendliest "wild" animals in africa. If you hand them a watermelon, they'll crack it open for you with their mouth. I've seen video evidence of this. Not sure why the hubbub...
I beg to differ, the highest number of human fatalities come from hippos than any other animal in Africa. Don't be fooled by their size as well, they are very fast on land
Beautiful video. But hey I'm scared of the hippos. Thank you for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it! 👍🏾
Its Cartoonlike because of the beautiful nature setting, animals, water, trees ,tranquility but its a real sight
Mana is certainly a gem. We will definitely go back there in the future. Probably in winter inorder to experience in a different season.
My fav place in this world! great video guys ;)

what did you use, how did you manage to do live videos? I'm talking internet. Thanks
The footage is mostly cellphone shot. The videos are developed afterwards using editing software.
@@TravelGigolo thank you very much. I appreciate you

Where did you buy meat and veg in Zim did you find quality places for meat?
We were mostly in remote areas so we carried our meat with, frozen. You can get meat and vegetables in all significant towns. You will find South African brand supermarkets quite often (e.g. Pick n Pay etc). Once you're out of major towns then it can be difficult for both meat and vegetables.
If you're going to Mana for example then Karoi would be the last place you would get easy access to good quality meat and veg.
But guys, thats a rooftent Situation or inside car sleep !!!!!!
😅😅😅😅 Ya maybe the rooftop tent would have been a good option. Just got back today from another unfenced camp but with less big cat drama!

😄😄😄😄😄 Cracking is a bit of an understatement!

Indeed they are very dangerous. The reference to the water melon was a humorous one.
