In the early days, I had no access to the internet and tablatures so I had to figure out the guitar riffs on my own. My notebooks in school were full of lyrics and chords. What an awesome experience. The most talented musician that I have ever known.

I saw them in 2007 also, in July, in NJ. It meant a lot. I was right up front, and came away impressed by how much of a regular, fun guy DJ is (brilliant as he is).

I love silverchair as a aussie. But this gig felt like a show trying to impress a crowd that was unimpressed to start with. Diorama is a work of art to people who appreciate it, but these guys weren't feeling it.

Still one of the greatest tragedies in the rock world that this guy absolutely despised his undeniably superior music writing ability in exchange for the brain sludge he vomits out now. Up until the Hell-exiled horror that was YOUNG MODERN, I believed Silverchair had no where to go but up. No one in the history of existence has been as wrong about something as I was in that foolish belief. His very willing self destruction as a meaningful artist was like watching a god gleefully and blissfully hurl himself onto spikes in a drunken stupor. People mourn the death of Kurt Cobain but I mourn the death of Daniel's talent and music creating skills much more.

Silverchair was my most cherished band for years and I never had a clue that he would piss away every last ounce of what once made him such a promising artist. There are some changes that are detrimental, and in this sad situation, that is the case here. In my worst nightmares, could I have fathomed the musical disgrace he would mutate into judging by his first four albums with Silverchair. People have an extremely toxic belief that guitars are something that only angry children play and that by abandoning them, you somehow "mature". It is beyond baffling.
yeah dude the last time they played it was 1999 and in my opinion its for 3 reasons A: because as we all know silverchair change alot and at most of their shows they played their latest songs to promote their albums B: because he cant hit the notes as a singer tommorow isnt an easy song to sing but it goes against songs like Across the Night and Tuna In The Brine where he hits amazing notes C: the band said in a 1999 interview that they dont really like the song because its very simple hope this helped

I've always been a fan of these guys, going all the way back to Frogstomp. Their evolution from teens who were just angry at the world into these amazing performances over the ten or so years when this was filmed was only a taste of what they could have done. Young Modern and Diorama are two of the all time great albums, you have to listen to them from start to finish to really appreciate the genius behind them. It's such a shame the way it all ended and the animosity between them now means it's very unlikely they will ever reunite

So sad they almost didn't play "Tomorrow" live. One of my favorites.
yeah dude the last time they played it was 1999 and in my opinion its for 3 reasons
A: because as we all know silverchair change alot and at most of their shows they played their latest songs to promote their albums
B: because he cant hit the notes as a singer tommorow isnt an easy song to sing but it goes against songs like Across the Night and Tuna In The Brine where he hits amazing notes
C: the band said in a 1999 interview that they dont really like the song because its very simple

I've always been a fan of these guys, going all the way back to Frogstomp. Their evolution from teens who were just angry at the world into these amazing performances over the ten or so years when this was filmed was only a taste of what they could have done. Young Modern and Diorama are two of the all time great albums, you have to listen to them from start to finish to really appreciate the genius behind them.
It's such a shame the way it all ended and the animosity between them now means it's very unlikely they will ever reunite

Hm, strange, as a teenie and tweeny I thought: I will always love the rock that breaks guitar and scream angry... But today I see I prefer "softer" music, you know... I still like Nirvana for example, but I prefer them live, unplugged... Strange, someone with the same experience?!
