- Welcome to Stardew Valley. In this series I will be pursuing perfection, trying to accomplish it in as interesting a way as I can. I will try my best to explain as many mechanics, and tricks as I can along the way. But, this game is massive! There will be many instances that I am leaving things that I'm doing out of each video, but I will explain them in future episodes. Probably :)
I will be cutting, and accelerating footage to fit my narration, and hopefully to give a pleeeeasurable viewing eggsperience.

Here's a litte technicality you might not know, the description on the burglars's ring says "monsters have a greater chance of dropping loot", but what actually happens is the game will make two random rolls instead of one for each item in a monster's drop list. A bat, for example, will most times drop 1-2 bat wings, but with the ring you get 2 rolls of 1-2 wings, so you can get up to 4 in total.
I really enjoy the format you've chosen for this series, going season by season. I wouldn't mind the videos being a little longer, but then again I could watch SDV content all day every day. It just never gets old!

I'm trying my best to fact-check myself with the wiki, but I'm sure a few "bro facts" will sneak in 😅 I'm trying to keep the content/expalanation of mechanics spread between videos because my goal is to mash them all together at the end for one super video. 40+ mins per season would be a loooooong perfection video 😅 Thanks for your input!
The Green Rain event is new to 1.6! It was very fun to see the new things!
I ended up winning the Luau in year 2 with the smoked iridium fish!
It really took me by surprise! I always have to look up which ingredients are best. Gold quality mayo did the trick this year :D
fun(?) fact: with 1.6 foraging exp has been nerfed when planting wild seeds (they used to give 7 foraging xp each like normal forageables, but now they give 2 foraging xp + some farming xp instead). fortunately imo green rain is pretty good in terms of gaining foraging exp, scything the big squares of moss/fibre gives 15xp each!
i got recommended this series on my homepage, really enjoying it so far and subscribed :) also ur girlfriend making prismatic clothing w her first shard is so funny but also very understandable, the clothing items do look very cool!
I didn't know that about the forage xp! Well, it's still useful anyway. The green rain days were an amazing addition. I have no idea how I would have had 999 fiber for the Statue of Blessings without them.
I'm glad you're enjoying it!! I don't understand her choice with her first Prismatic Shard, but I'll never fault her for getting what she loves first. Me? I like bigger damage 😁

Hello there. Thank you for something to watch while dealing with Macalania in my Lulu only run. Not having a way to kill Negator or survive Pain means a nice relaxing Stardew Valley video is even more appreciated than normal.
I love that you call my gameplay relaxing :) The thing I remember most about Lulu is dodging lightning in the Thunder Plains. Brutal 😅
Great spring, I would have bought the fish smoker recipe instead of the backpack upgrade to make a little more cash. Awesome work!
It seems I've really slept on the fish smoker. It's the coal demand that put me off, but maybe in another playthrough I should put more emphasis on it. Thanks :)

I'm trying something new where I'm trying to cover all of the mechanics across multiple videos, with the goal of smashing them all together at the end. Fingers crossed it works :)

Love watching your stuff. Been a fan since you were around 1.5k and you're at 4.4k. Seeing you play my two favourite games is absolutely amazing. It's good to take a breather and do something else and not get burnt out. Didn't know you enjoyed stardew as well. How long have you been playing?
Thank you!! I definitely needed a breather from Pokémon. I've played through Stardew a few times since it was released in 2016! This game had me hooked from day 1.

I started a solo run on stardew on my switch but bc i try to Optimize(tm) I stopped four days in to plan out how to stalk--I mean romance--Penny and the sheer anxiety of it has left it untouched. I should pick it up again.
Diamonds are a girl's best friend! And Emeralds.. and.. errr.. I can't remember what else Penny likes 😅 I'll be perfectly content to be a profit seeking hermit for the first

alright! more stardew valley content! Have you tried the PC version with a gamepad? or is this one of those games where i am "Choosing misery" using a gamepad, and just need to use a keyboard and mouse?
Edit: asking as a lifelong "Die hard" Controller/arcade stick user. As in, since 1988 or so...
I have not! I did play Stardew on the PS4 as well, and the controller felt far inferior to the mouse/keyboard to me. There are games though that I can't stand mouse/keyboard like Pokémon
@@Eggsceptional i bought the game today and am using a style i call "Gamepad plus mouse". i use the gamepad for all the rough work - running around, combat in the mines, mining - and when i'm doing detailed farming, i move my guy with the controller and do the fine work with the mouse...same way KB/M works. i'm very weird. so its not like i'm suggesting it to anyone sane. just am enjoying the game in a way i can play. :D
@@DoctorKamino Ahhh I like that! I've never played with a mouse/keybord and controller hybrid until very recently using the mouse as a stylus in Gen 4 Pokémon. It's pretty cool!

More like cheese and eggs... I'm just realizing that Stardew Valley maaay be vegetarian, except maybe Bug meat? You can have Bug steak 😅
@@Eggsceptional ConcernedApe said that he was originally planning to have the animals slaughtered but decided it didn't fit with the themes that he was going for to have you raise an animals friendship and then ship them off to slaughter.
There are some food items that feature meat or fish but iirc you can only make the fish ones yourself
@@jamesgrenier8856 I mention in an upcoming release that Stardew might be vegetarian after having that realization while playing :P Fish, sure, but then it's eggs and Bug Meat. I could have Bug Steak and eggs...

@@Maliktheslowking Not at all! I'd love to organize community events/playthroughs of a game where I can collab with fans. Logistically it's a bit of an undertaking, so currently I'm not too focused on it. It's definitely on my mind for the future though :)
