Xaviera Simmons: the witness as the reparator

New York-based artist Xaviera Simmons and AFRO Charities executive director Savannah Wood introduce Nectar, on view at KADIST Paris through July 24th. For her debut exhibition in France, Simmons has created new photographic, painting and video works that draw upon the AFRO American Newspapers’ massive and pertinent collection of historic images.
