    Okay, so I'm confused. I'm just watching this video in August 2021. How did they go from building this massive dream home to buying a tiny home in Hawaii? Is there a video that explains this?

    Bri is so sweet. So please no one take this as hate. ♥️ I watched her throughout my first pregnancy when she was a working mom and balancing motherhood with a full-time job. (Yes I realize she still works). I’m talking specifically about a 9-5. I started phasing out from watching this channel but have remained subscribed. When these UA-camrs start getting big houses I just start losing interest. It seems to be a trend among mommy vlogging channels more babies and big houses. The relatability factor that people desire when watching diminishes. Don’t get me wrong she deserves all the success she has and works hard for it, it’s just not the type of content I’m into.

      Becky Petrucelli see this is where you start crossing a line that shouldn’t be crossed. She has nothing to do with all the people struggling right now. Do you expect her not to have her dream home because there are people struggling. There will ALWAYS be people struggling due to COVID or not

      They all start acting the same! The same thing. I use to like them because they were different but who can relate to them now? I have to work and take of my kids and I cant afford all the the thing they have. I've lost interest too. They all start humble and then... we all know what happens.

    Beautiful home! You might want to rethink the bathroom opening up right next to the kitchen. In our first home we had that, and had guests or family use it, and not to be real specific, but it definitely overrode the delicious smell of dinner. When we built our second home we had the half bath placed right by the mud room. The kids would come in from school and use it right away. Also if they were playing outside they wouldn’t have to go through other rooms with their dirty shoes. Congratulations again!

    This is definitely a beautiful home.. and if you work hard and can afford it then why not, however I always wonder with a lot of UA-cam big accounts... why always move to something sooo big?? How is this what they all want bigger and bigger homes. I feel like I start watching UA-cam channels because they are relatable but then they become rich and it’s suddenly not relatable anymore...

    Beautiful! I had my dream home built several years ago and it was a wonderful experience. Some recommendations I would make is to get an independent inspector to do an inspection before you sign off with the builder. Have outlets put into you closets. Ask about a chandelier lift, it is a button you punch that lowers the chandelier for cleaning and changing light bulbs. Game changer! Also ask about the Christmas light package. This gives you outlets in ares where you would plug in lights.I think the outlets and lighting placement are the area where I have regrets or need to upgrade. Best of luck looking forward to seeing how you decorate and organize the new space. Kim

      I agree. Are you really going to want to be on a different level than the kids? The other thing I thought of, just because when we look at houses this comes up, do you really want a fireplace in the great room? It significantly limits the size of the TV and are you OK with looking UP to watch TV? I know you'll have a movie room but the great room is where you'll "live" most of the time and it's nice to cook and watch TV with everyone. That's just us. The houses we looked at all have beautiful great rooms but no real wall for a TV or decor. In any case, the house is beautiful!!

      I am paranoid about burglars and fires, or worry about a kid falling down the stairs in the middle of the night to come to my room so I would without a doubt have to be upstairs closer to the kids. Also, the downstairs where the master is going to be, I would make that a guest room. I have a designated room that is on the first floor (easier on older people, no stairs up or down) that has a bathroom close and is closer to the kitchen without being right there by the rest of the household, so the first floor room makes more sense to me as a guestroom. That's just me, of course everyone is different! Very pretty

    I love those windows where you spoke of putting a second fireplace (too close to the other one) so I would leave as is but I’d make that bench seating with a built in table for the kids to do homework, work on projects, etc. It would be awesome to have a place like that with all the natural light. I loved the master suite upstairs and it seems like a great deal of extra expense to move it, but hey, it’s your home and I’m sure you have planned accordingly.

    Also, considering the elevation of your lot if there’s a slope..you could save a TON money if you are able to utilize half of your basement as your garage. We did that too! Another thing that was important to us was the garden hose hook ups on the front/back and side of the house. If you end up building a garage or having it underneath the house be sure to add a mud room sink in it too bc there’s nothing worse than greasy hands making their way through the house to be washed in the bathroom 😹

    Incredible!! What an exciting year for your family!! And if you're wanting opinions, I would definitely have them put the windows down in the basement for a potential future bedroom (it would give you more options for the future). You wouldn't have to finish it out as a bedroom yet, but it's way easier to install them during building as opposed to later down the road.

I'm trying to get past it and enjoy the process and blessing for my family. Thank you for sharing!!

    Beautiful home! make sure they put a Christmas light switch in so you can put candles in your front windows and just flip them all on with one switch. Also when the time comes make sure you have electric outlets in all the places you want them like a Tv in the bathroom or more than one socket in the foyer. Make sure every closet has a light and definitely put the laundry room upstairs. A fireplace in the master would be so fun too. The hearth room is a fantastic idea!! Its a huge home....but if its your dream I am so happy for you!

    I definitely agree with some of the other comments. I think glass French doors would be stunning. And maybe a fire place upstairs or in the basement? Or perhaps using a wall for a two way fireplace? Orrrr make the Fireplace mantle even bigger so you can decorate around the TV or raise the TV up higher and face it down with some brackets so that way you can also decorate the fireplace and have a TV above it. Just thoughts! congratulation!

    • @Sun-et3my
      @Sun-et3my 4 роки тому +7

      Hmm, I agree with this too. I think the island would be more useful being square or rectangular. I know the shape is mimicking the counter on the right side but it's odd and no value added to the island. Then again, it's hard to make that call from Chesterland where I'm not actually walking through the house and getting a good feel for size and shape of the room! LOL!

If you are not having a master upstairs what would be used in that space? That model is my dream home.
