2016 Camaro Radio Inoperable

- My radio in the Berserkerstopped working one day. I was at a car show I remote started the car then walked away from the car and when i came back to the car the radio wouldn't turn back on. I tried everything. I unplugged the battery and I switched out the fuses.

One possible and very simple solution for you that actually worked for my 6th gen 2016 Camaro SS! NO NEED to disconnect the battery cable(s)!
Problem:
The display/screen suddenly gone dark, but the touch screen function was still working. Couldn't really see what I was "touching" 🤣on the screen though. And also the stream from my "Reverse Camera" was not shown on the display. Camera was fine though.
Solution:
Kill the power to your car by pushing the "Start Engine" button. Open your trunk and lift the felt mat to locate the black fuse box on your right side. Remove the top lid/cover from the fuse box and then pull out the F16 "Display" fuse only. Check if it's broken. If not just wait at least 10 seconds before you put it back from where you pulled it out. Locate the F16 fuse by simply read inside the lid/cover from the fuse box.
I wasn't expecting it to work but... "YES!" it did. "Phew!" I couldn't believe it was that simple.

Brother, I tried everything and it didnt work. Even purchased a new battery before taking it to the shop. I'm glad that worked out for you. Unfortunately that wasnt my case.

Yea bro that shit crazy. I ended up dropping the car off this morning and they ordered the wrong part smh... so hopefully it should be done tomorrow.

My 2016 Camaro LT2 RS droptop started today. Radio at start up OK about 15 to20 minutes later music then no music black screen then MUSIC Black screen then Black screen no function.Going to take it to the Chevy dealer tomorrow.inshallah

I have this same issue with my 2016 Camaro. My touch screen still works, but it’s a black screen & I can’t see anything tho. Did yours go all the way out or did you still have some functionality?

Same issue why is there no recall on these infotainment systems seems everyone is having same issue
Exactly they should have made recalls but they arent. It sucks.

I have 2018 Chevy Camaro 1SS 1LE. It’s November, 2021 and I have the same issue. I live in Los Angeles,CA and I took it to 2 different dealerships and they quoted me similar prices of $1,230 give or take a few dollars. I’ve been driving my whip for 3 months with this issue of No radio/music. It’s hard to justify the price. Will eventually have Vite the bullet and pay. Damn!
Yea It sucks truat me i thinl i went the same about 3 or 4 months withiut mines working. I was lucky to only pay the $787. What happened was they messed the price up because the service department guy called me and said it would be more than the $787. I told him you guys messed up so I'm only paying what you guys quoted me the first time.
So thats why I was able to pay the $787
@@BerserkerMaro That's good that you got it for less money and that you capitalized on their mistake. Any time we can save major money especially from crooks like the dealerships who charge ridiculous prices is definitely a good thing. I've invested so much money on my sound system that I have no choice but to pay up that ridiculous price they're charging me. I have a 12" Sun Down Audio Subwoofer with custom ported box, a DSP, (4) JBL studio 6x9 components in the doors and rear deck, 6.5" JBL studio 62F and it was Banging until this happened. Still having a hard time dishing out the $1,200 price. Eventually I will have to fork over the $. Have you added anything else to your whip as far as engine/performance mods or audio/speaker upgrades?
@@kngperbs2991 Yea i feel you bro. You deff have to get it fixed. Yes i have added more mods check out the rest of my videos. I have added a few performance mods. I have longtube headers, AWE touring axel back exhaust, and K&N air intake and its tuned. Not sure what my numbers are because i haven't had the car on the dyno yet but the guy who tuned it said i should be at 450whp.
Here a little thing you should check. Push alll fuses in and see if that helps. Also do the battery unhook for 35 minutes. See if it straightens it up. If not then run a ground from the rear battery stud in the car (nut battery) to the chassis of the Bose amp in the trunk. That will clear up most of the electrical gremlins in that system. For other problems look at the rest of the grounds.
I will deff keep that in mind next time.
I tried switching the fuses.

@@mrudntknwrealtalk149 I definitely had to replace it. GM couldn't even figure it out so they just replaced the whole system. it's been working every since so I had to come off $750 for the new radio
In the rear fuse Box, go to slot F16 and replace the 15A fuse! That should fix the issue. Those dealers are playing you! I had the same issue when my trunk got flooded.
That didn't work. That was the first thing I tried. It's fixed now.
My trunk got flooded after my radio went out . Replaced the whole rear fuse box but just realized yesterday that I bout the wrong fuse box 😂

@@Kpfields14 The dealership had to fix it. I got lucky and paid like 760 or something like that because the dealership messed up and quoted me the wrong price. The actual cost was over $1k.

Mine got flooded too, did you end up fixing the issue? And if so what did you do. My trunk got flooded and the screen just turned black, the camera still works but the radio itself doesn’t

When replacing the bose amp does it have to be reprogrammed by the dealer?
I'm not to sure about that but if I had to take a guess I would say yes it needs reprogrammed.

Lets say I have the key far away from the car and I push the on button on the stereo it turns on.. is that normal?

@@sammon7108 like when I'm in my garage if i sit the keys on the couch i can still turn on the stereo. the car won't crank though.
