I have this album on pink vinyl with a great photo of the band, they're all wearing black leather jackets. I bought it at a small record store in Conn way back in 1988 and paid around $25 for it. The sound quality of this version is infinitely better then what I have. Mine sounds like someone recorded the show with a tape recorder hidden under a winter jacket. Very cool, thanks for sharing this!

What album can I find this version of Black to Comm on? It says "power trip" but it's not the same version. I first heard this version on my local college radio station when I was 14 (first time I heard the MC5) I recorded onto a tape cassette. The tape was chewed up a decade ago and I've been trying to track down this version ever since. It kicks like nothing else, blew my brains out when I was 14!!!
MC5 took it to a whole new level. Stones and Who were more of a pop act with some great tunes and energy to boot, sure thing. These guys were fighting men ~ they had no choice but to rebel against all of the establishment BS going on outside of their front door. And they had a lot of Fun at the same time!
Might have been when Tyner came back from Europe, because they were playing, but not getting paid & drugs for some members ,were eating up ,any profits ,they made. Rob Tyner, had a New born Baby & Family to support!
Hey man do you think you can email me this album in mp3? I had it long ago saved up in one of my USB's but I know longer have it and want to jam to it, a lot of the other power trip albums aren't as good quality as this one. Just email it to me in multiple 6 tracks.

Brilliant! On a side note--is anyone else reminded of The Who's "I Can See for Miles" by the opening track? Just wondering. Anyway--brilliant! Thx!
The Motor City Five and LIVE. Can't get any better than that...
